Hello! I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday. I was hoping someone could help me with my I-751 form, I have a couple of questions.
1. I've read that this form is being filed "jointly" by my husband and I. My question is, since we are filing jointly, is it necessary to list myself as the preparer on the form? Or is the preparer anyone who is not the petitioner (conditional resident)?
2. Part 1, Question #9 asks for the petitioner (my husband's) USCIS online account number. We made him an account back when we paid the immigrant fee before he entered the US, however, this account doe not have a USCIS online account number associated with it. What we do have is the USCIS online account number that was assigned to me when I initially filed form I-130 4 years ago. Should I put this online account number down ir just keep it blank?
Thank you in advance!😊

Yes, you can. If the officer doesn’t ask for your current income then you don’t need to say anything, but if they do, you must be honest and present them with the joint sponsor.
Thanks!!

Hello everyone,
So I finished submitting all of my documentation in May 2020. I put myself down as my husband's sponsor at the time but my financial situation has changed since then. I would now like to put my father down as a joint sponsor in order to fulfill the financial requirement. Am I allowed to bring a new I-864 form to the interview with my father added on as a joint sponsor? I would really appreciate some help, thanks!

All documentation was submitted and accepted in May 2019, and I got the email saying that nvc will schedule his interview on 7/12/19.
After that we haven't received anything yet. I knew it might take around 6 months or so for the interview to be scheduled but now its already over a year.
Sorry, totally read over the 2019! Nonetheless, the consulate has dramatically slowed down it's processing. People who had their appointments cancelled for March/April still haven't gotten their dates rescheduled so unfortunately it seems that we're in for a long wait. Is your spouse currently in Mexico?

No.
I'm in a group on facebook with people who are waiting on their appointmment at the consulate in Ciudad Juarez. It seems that they're only processing emergency appointments at the moment and unfortunately they haven't said when they will be fully opening back up! You finished submitting all of your documentation to the NVC this month?

Hello everyone, my husband (who is in Mexico) and I filled out the Affidavit of Support using my salary and submitted all of the documentation in May. We're currently waiting for an appointment but unfortunately the consulate in Ciudad Juarez hasn't fully re-opened yet. We've been considering the idea of me moving to Mexico with him for the time being but we would require a joint sponsor. Does anyone know if it's possible to edit the affidavit of support at this point? Thanks in advance!

I just received an email update from them. All they said was my application was incomplete and I should upload the rest of my documents.
Hmm, does the CEAC website highlight what it is that you're missing under the documents tab?

Did NVC tell you what the message said? I still can’t get into my message either.
I received a message this morning and I was having the same issue. I read online that sometimes you just have to click on the message and let it load for a little while. That did the trick for me on Microsoft edge (I was originally using google chrome).

Hi,
I know! My husband lives in Stockton and I'm in Mexico. We are working on all our forms. Did you get help with the I-864? We are trying to get a lawyer/immigration agent because we think we need help with that form and also we need my civil documents translated.
For the most part I did the I-864 on my own but I had a few questions and I was able to ask a family friend who has had experience with this. I know a notary in town, she’s been translating my documents for me since last year. She charges $45 per document. Let me know if you want her information!

Hi, I just finished filling the DS260 and I put "no" and for the explanation I put "I WILL HAVE ALL OF MY VACCINATIONS AND DOCUMENTATION BY THE TIME OF MY EMBASSY INTERVIEW THROUGH MY VISA MEDICAL EXAM." Your spouse will have the medical exam done once he's there and you'll get all of the vaccinations straightened out then!
By the way, what a coincidence that we're from the same city.

Did they get to the interview stage? If it was just the petition then no but if it was the visa then yes disclose it. It wont matter anyhow.
Yeah they did. I went ahead and gave an explanation in the box provided. Thanks!

There will be a record with his name and his A number. Better to disclose it than not.
Each time my wife applied for a visa, the first time she was denied. Immigrant Visa for Mexico, Denied. Then approved. Visitor Visa for Canada denied. Then Approved. Visitor Visa for US, Denied. Then spousal approved. Denials aren't major deals in and of themselves especially when they are for immigration.
Yeah you're right, thanks!

Hello everyone, the DS-260 asks if you have ever been denied a US visa in the past. My husband is currently applying and a few years back his father was the primary immigrant in a petition for a US visa and my husband was included on the petition as family immigrating with him. His father was ultimately denied because of circumstances relating to him (his father). Would this count as my husband having been denied a US visa since he was included as family? Thanks

Hi everyone, I've been watching this thread for a while now but just recently made my account. Our priority date is 11/04/2019 and we received our approval on 04/27/2020. We originally filed at the Texas service center, which eventually got transferred to the national benefits center, and ended up being transferred to the Potomac service center in early April.
