Nothing received my end yet (LND No.). Week 15 now since NOA2 approval.

That sucks man, sorry! Is this because you got your NOA2 before lockdown?

I think it's safe to assume the IVU is not open yet (or opening slowly on a case by case basis) and as such we are better off disregarding the last few months as part of the timeline.

Just wanted to see if anyone has had any movement on their I-130 etc in our little group? I'm still waiting on the packet from IVU. Hubby is going to be ordering his police certificate this week. We have obtained his medical summary as well as vaccination history already. :)

Still waiting. I got my I-130 Approval on 13 May... trying to be patient :)

We got our NOA2 on April 6th and have our case number from NVC as we called and were given it by someone on the phone, but our case has been showing as "At NVC" since mid April and we haven't had any welcome email from NVC and they of course haven't sent it to the embassy yet because of everything going on. We just want to know if there is anything else we could be doing in the meantime to speed up the process of booking an interview when the time comes. Are we able to fill out and submit the DS-160 at this stage or does our case need to be at the embassy to do that?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Can I ask who you called for the case number? I’m waiting for mine for London IVU.

    Looking for some advice.

    Due to London bound cases currently being held at NVC due to embassy closure my fiance phoned and managed to get our case ID, using this I then booked my medical with Knightsbridge Surgery in London. Upon doing so they communicated an email which included a list of the required documentation, included in this there was the following;

    f. A Letter/Email from the embassy/NVC to confirm your case number and visa category

Due to the fact the the NVC has not released letters confirming this and the embassy has obviously not recieved cases in order to distribute the required information is there a method of obtaining this proof?

We tried to use the portal on the CEAC website however it doesnt seem to show all of the relevant details, can anyone advise as another few hours hold to the NVC is seeming more and more likely?

    Cheers,

    Kirsten & Ross

    Hi,

Who did you phone for the case number? I’m waiting for my case ID too.

    Thanks,

There isn't a phone number unfortunately. You can contact them using the contact form on the website: https://uk.usembassy.gov/iv-contact/

I just contacted them and received this reply from this email address LondonInfoUnit@state.gov.

    "Thank you for your email.

As explained on our website at https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas111, we are unable to provide guidance about future visa applications or applications that have been in process since before March 20, 2020, at this time. If your question is not answered on that webpage or elsewhere on our website, we ask that you continue to monitor our website for updates, and reply to this message only after normal visa services have resumed. i have a few phone numbers so Ill give them all to you

This was the number I was given for the Department of State (202) 485-7600 , and then they transferred me to the numbers below

NVC Non immigrant visa unit: 1 (603) 334-0888

This is also the NVC but I'm not sure what unit its for: 1 (603) 334-0700

I hope that helps. I had to call a few times to get the right prompts to be able to speak to someone but I didnt have to be put on hold at all. Once i picked the right prompts I was talking to someone within a minute.

    Goodluck!

Ok thank you. Are you applying through London too? What did you say to them? Because when I called a number they told me they couldn’t help as I was applying through London 😕

We received our NOA2 on April 3rd, and have still not heard anything from the National Visa Center here in the US, and have not heard anything from the embassy in London. I was able to reach the NVC over the phone and get our case number. but thats about it

Hi, can I ask how you got your case number? Which number did you call? I called the US and they told me because my application is through the US Embassy in London that they couldn’t give me my case number as they don’t have any information on it.

  8. Thanks, that's very useful indeed!

I saw in one of your previous posts that you received your NOA2 on May 15. Out of interest, did you receive this approval via e-mail or was it a physical letter in the post? I take it you are still waiting for your LND number from the Immigrant Visa Unit?

On your question, I got a physical letter in the post last Friday. So now I'm waiting on the LND number... no idea how long that will take!

  9. Hi all,

I just got my I-130 approved, and I'm just preparing documents for my eventual visa appointment. Just a question, I have a non-English birth certificate as I wasn't born in the UK but I'm a UK citizen.

What is the process for this? Do I get a certified translation? Any tips/advice from previous applicants would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

I don't think they are back in the office yet. Based on USCIS website it mentions June 4th as the earliest date. Now if they have already begun processing yours, it may get done before they reopen the office. Someone in a FB group I'm in just got her I-130 approval today from London. So just keep your fingers crossed. I'm in the boat of my application is stuck sitting in the mailroom at the moment.

Hey - that’s good news for all of us waiting? Do you know when that person (who received their approval)  submitted their I-130? Like what date?

    Hi,

The London US Embassy website states "UPDATE: As of March 17, 2020, the United States Embassy in London has suspended all immigrant and fiancé(e) visa and petition processing. We are therefore unable to accept any petition filing until we return to routine services. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide a specific date at this time. If you have a visa interview appointment scheduled, the Visa Appointment Service will contact you if your appointment is being postponed."

I interpreted this to mean that they are not currently processing any I-130 petitions, even if they arrived at the Embassy before the 31st of March. I can imagine they are pretty stretched thin on the ground and are only providing emergency. services. A few of us mailed our petitions on the week of the 16th of March and have not had payment taken nor received a confirmation of receipt e-mail. Someone e-mailed USCIS to ask about this and they said it was because they currently do not have access to the Mail Room while the lockdown is in place.

Yep makes sense, thanks for the clarification.
