Welcome to VJ and good luck on the interview. We have filed a K1 and our interview is scheduled for September 6. Are you going to be present for the interview? I am not, but will go back for a 2nd interview if one is scheduled. I have gathered all the required documents and will send them in the next few weeks. Good luck!

I agree! Relax. Just step back and live your life as is right now, because there is nothing you can do to change this waiting! I agree that you should take copies of the phone cards and maybe you can get copies of the calls showing your calls to the 800 numbers on the cards and put that together for them......

Yes angel your right and thank god I now realize how really stupid it was of me to live most of my life trying to please a man.

Thank god I found myself. But allot of it comes from marrying the first one at the age of 16 he raised me he was 8 years older then me.

So I thought this life style was normal.

Anyway honestly I think there should be a law that if you become an american through another american and get your papers that you should then not be alloud to marry a women from your country and bring her here.

Really this goes for women and men if you obtain your paper through marriage and then become divorce you should not be able to bring another alien here.

I think we should all bad together on that one. That would stop allot of the divorces and hey if you want to have the freedom to marry a women from your country then go back to your country dont bring them over here.

Because I believe in the back of someones mind maybe they dont try as hard to make it work because they know that they an replace you and have the family ready to remarry you.

Funny thing I remember many years ago someone flat out throwing all this in my face and me being very upset and protective of the culture and now years later I realized it all to be true.

I guess you can say I am a hard headed girl takes me a few times to learn my lesson..

Good things about the culture is they work hard they love thier children and they are good providers and for the most part they dont drink or do drugs. I guess that is what attracted me to the culture in the first place.

My son is Arab he is 15 and he has lots of friends and all his little Arab friends seem to control thier mothers.

And these boys get away with murder and thier sisters are stuck in the house.

The fathers are at work all the time and the women are shopping.

I was talking to my friend the other day about thier shopping and spending habbits he is from Palestine he said "they want to make sure thier husband dont have enough money to remarry" HE HE

So if I was married to one of them I guess instead of saving I would be spending!

I wanted to let my friends and family of VJ know how things are going with our visa. On July 2, 2007 we had our interview at the Lagos Embassy and was approved for our visa. My fiance was given his approval letter and told to come back on July 5, 2007 to pick up the visa. When he got to the Embassy the visa was not ready for pick-up. He was then told to come back the next day and he did and still not ready for pick up. Today when I called the Embassy I talked to the lady who interviewed my fiance and she said that the computer that does the visas is down and the technician is out of town. She said for us to call back in a couple of days. I am posting this information so that other VJers going through the Lagos Embassy will know what is going on there. So we are still waiting to be reunited and hoping it will be soon.

It will be soon! Its a bad setback, but its just a matter of time. Keep your head up and I am pulling for you!

I assume you are dealing with the Lagos Consulate? What other proof of an ongoing relationship did you provide? Did you provide telephone calls, IM Chats, letters, etc?

My petition was just forwarded to the Lagos Consulate and I am curious about them.

OK, the Delta price was round trip, might be worthwhile to check one way too.

I saw $920.00 for Lagos to JKF in September....on North American Airlines.

...... Also , to my suprise the embassies do not produce the interview dates the DOS does. You can call them (202-663-1225) to see when your interview is scheduled. Good luck all!!!!

I didn't know about that So what do you think what is the best time to call them- after NVC send our case to US Consulate or after 3 package?

I called the NVC continuously until I spoke to a live person. Each time I spoke to someone at the NVC they were very friendly and helpful. The automated system never showed the case................

We received NOA1 on March 26, 2007 and were approved on June 5, 2007 by the CSC. Our package was received at the NVC on 06/24/2007 and sent to the Consulate on 06/27/2007. I still have not received a NOA2 or email from CSC. Also the website still says our case is "pending" Not to worry, though, I am so excited the package is on its way to an interview!!!!!!!!!

Well I just talked to a very nice lady at the NVC and she said that our K1 package was sent to the Lagos Consulate on June 27th. I am very excited!!! The USCIS website still shows my case pending and I have not received an email or a paper copy NOA2. Does anyone know if my fiance will need this for his interview or is it only needed for the AOS after he gets to the US and we get married????

We mailed our package to NSC on April 26th. From the back of our cashed check, we got our receipt number, however, NOA1 is yet to be received. Based on our receipt number, online case status indicates that our petition has been transferred from NSC to CSC on May 23rd. It appeared that NSC no longer handled I-129F according to its processing dates table on USCIS website.

Okay, this is fine. As about a week ago, CSC was still processing I-129F under its service center processing dates table. But today when I checked, I-129F disappeared on CSC processing time table. Anyone notices? And I-129F shown up under NSC's processing time dates. What's going on??!! We are so pissed off. Does this mean that our petition was first received at NSC, it's then transferred to CSC, and as CSC is so backlogged, all cases being transferred to NSC. This is so messed up.

Anyone knows anything about this

NSC hasn't processed I-129Fs in a long time. But they are still sent there and automatically transferred. It's normal and it takes a long time to receive a paper NOA1 or 2.

Chances are high that someone just made a mistake on the processing times table.
