  1. Wow!! I just joined the forum and already I find a case similar to mine. My case left NVC for Lagos on the 16th of July. My fiance does not live in Lagos so Im totally confused about when to tell him to go to the embassy to pick up pkts 3 &4 or schedule his medical.

I dont know how to track the case to see if the embassy has received it or not, talkless of an interveiw date. Im trying to avoid the embassy "mailing" it to him.......Please would appreciate any advice .... :help:

I emailed the lagos consulate and they replied to me the next day. I also sent my fiance to the Consulate to get his packets 3 and 4 and they gave him an interview date of September 6.

My guy doesn't live in Lagos either, he lives in Port Harcourt. Therefore, he has to go and pick up the packet and probably wait  there in Lagos to do the medical exam and then wait to get the results and thennnn get the police report. He doesn't like going back and forth to that part of Nigeria(he said Lagos is like Newyork, hussle and bussle).

Anyway, I know what you mean. I am at a lost as to when I can tell him to go and pick up the packets because I don't want him to get there and be turned away. That several hour bus ride to lagos can be an harrowing experience, to and fro! I want him to go next week or maybe the weekend to get them, but am afraid they will give him the red tape.

To track the case, email the embassy and ask if the case is there yet. That's what I did. They emailed back the next day for me. Sometimes it's a couple of days before they email. Also, if you have a case number just put it in the subject line and in the body of the letter, give them the beneficiary full name and the petitioner's full name along with date of births. They then told me it was in their system.

Im so glad!!!! the Lord is good!!! All the time. My fiance was supposed to leave Lagos for his base today, I told him to just go to the embassy in Lagos and "check" for our case.....it wont hurt.......Well God being the faithful...we got our packets!!!!!

    Interview 09/18/07.!!!

Congratulations! That is exactly what I did and our interview is September 6!!!!

  2. HAHAHAHA, now another rude woman at the DOS told me it left the NVC on July 16th...man this is screwed up!

'Sir they have the electronic file but not the paper file'

    'So what does this mean?'

'It means we can see it in the computer sir but can't do anything else'

Christ, where do they find these people?? Is it too much to ask for them to take a class or two in customer service?

Wouldnt give much thot to thos rude pple at the DOS. My case left for the Lagos embassy same day yours. I called DOS yesterday and was told it just left on the 19th so I should give it a couple of "weeks". My fiance happened to be in Lagos on business so I scanned the NOA2 and NVC letter and told him to go to the embassy.

He got his pkts, our interview date is 9/18 and he has scheduled the medical as well.

The same thing happened to us. The NVC said they had sent the petition to the Consulate and to wait a few weeks. My fiance was in Lagos and went to the Consulate and obtained both packets and the interview date of September 6.

haha, yeah, i've had the NVC case number, i just want to know where my petition is! i wish NVC would give the DHL tracking number so i could look it up...but nooooooo, that's confidential information...whatever!

    It WILL happen!!!!

We still haven't been updated on the USCIS website, but I did finally get the NOA2!!!!!!

  3. When Elena got hers it came in 2 packages one she could open the other she could not. The first time she got the wrong passport(someone elses) and her paperwork, had to send them back and wait a few more days for the real one at our expense.

Wont go into a rant on how the embassy should have to pay for mailing the wrong stuff but I wont.

Luckily the embassy still had her passport. I can imagine being told she would have to get a new one. How would she explain that to the Russian authorities, "excuse me, I need a new passport, the U.S. gov't lost mine"...

    That is scary

  4. Then again all I can stress is that you notify the mods, Steven. I think lal_brandow was the one handling all of the MENA spam, PM her and inform her that you think this may be another spamming post.

Again, replying to someone you feel is an obvious troll just feeds them. ;)

I know, but it's so much fun. :P

...seriously though, when I read her thread, I didn't have time to look or make the direct connection other than wondering why all of a sudden all these broken hearted women who were married to Arab men are posting about their tragic stories, so I didn't really know whether she was sincere or not.

She's baaaccckkkk. She has three or four names here (you can tell by the constantly repeated very poor writing style and grammatical/spelling errors) and was banned was another site. She's very unstable woman who invents entire scenarios. When busted, she comes up with some excuse i.e. "I meant this poll/survey/whatever to be in a PM" . . .

Thats funny. I am new, but when I saw at least 2 posts with different names and the same story, I actually thought about that that

Remember that one lady who had posted up photos of women here on VJ who were marrying Arab men on a website? That's who came to my mind when I read the first post. I thought - either she'll be soon exploiting this tragedy or perhaps she's behind this charade? hmmm....

Thats funny. I am new, but when I saw at least 2 posts with different names and the same story, I actually thought about that that lady and the site too! But I don't know how to report to a moderator?

  5. None of us are here to judge, nor have we really the right to do so. As I said before, if you think the OP of a thread is spouting rubbish or a troll PM a mod or the Captain. The Captain can look into the IP if need be and take action. The mods can lock a thread or keep an eye on it.

By posting in a thread that you believe is started by a troll then surely you are merely adding to the "drama" created by the OP in the first place. You are also giving the OP exactly what he/she wants - attention.

    Well put

  6. Congrats!!!

Everytime I see you post the word that goes through my mind is 'Dyn-o-mite''! lol

HAHAHA!! Do you have an interview date? I bet even though it isn't scheduled yet, it will be before mine!

I just got off the phone with NVC tonight, I about dropped the phone when the gentleman asked me verifiers  ....so ummm yea  ....sweet........ :dancing: they got the case on Monday and its already left for Moscow on Wed. Looks like interview will be mid to end Sept, ironically that will exactly be one year from when we last saw each other in Hungary.

    Great news! Congrats!!!

One year, I can't last that long. Congratulations with the progress with NVC. I had the same experience, the moment the lady asked for verification, bam - I knew something was in the system.

    Congrats again! :thumbs::dance:

Me too, its a weird feeling. All that waiting and constant checking the website and the mail and calling the CSC and then the NVC.................Its a GREAT feeling!

  7. I am so jealous of your friend!!!!!!!!!!

But does it not somehow feel good to wake up on a morning go down to the mail box and see if there could be something there already?

Something could happen any day :P

But when this any day will come????? :crying::crying::crying:

NVC, please bring me this any day!!! :crying::crying::crying:

... and this day arrived!!!! My interview is scheduled!!!

Congratulations! I see we filed our K1 on the same day as yours and our embassy received petition prior to yours, but you got an earlier interview date!!!!Lucky YOU. Congratulations!
