Welp I overnighted my I-751 application and it was received by the Phoenix lockbox today (signed by a "L Montanez").

My GC expires on 3/29 so I should definitely have prepared the packet in January, but oh well - here we are.

Hoping to get the NOA1 soon because I have international travel planned at the end of the month! (trying to get an InfoPass appointment to get I-551 stamp just in case)

    Did you receive your i797

    From the official website https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html

Note: Visa applicants must qualify on the basis of the applicant's residence and ties abroad, rather than assurances from U.S. family and friends. A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a visitor visa. If you choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember it is not one of the factors used in determining whether to issue or deny the visa.

    Ok thanks

  3. I want to file b1/b2 visa for my uncle and Aunt, i  am also sponsoring them for the duration of the visit. I filled the DS 160 form online but i cant find anywhere to upload supporting documents  Such as my financial documents, affidavit of support or requesting letter to visa officer for granting visa and more.

    1) I want to know where should i upload these supporting documents because i am unable to find uploading documents option in the form?

    2) or is it possible to send supporting document by mail address to USCIS/NVC/consulate prior to visitor Visa (B1/B2) interview for strong chances on their case?

  4. Hi there, i did the same thing and contacted tier 2 officer this morning and i told her that i had an biometric appointment in march and she said, she will try to reschedule it. She asked me, is 22 Oct is ok?, i said ok. After 2 minutes she said, she successfully schedule it for 22 oct.

She said, i will receive letter in mail and if not received by 19 oct contact us again.

I asked her to send me any confirmation by email about biometric, she said i cant do that

So atleast something is happening in my case

    Happy day 😊

It's been a good day, guys!

I just got off the phone with a lovely tier 2 officer who informed me my biometrics appointment was scheduled for 9/28! Finally some movement! Meanwhile my senator's office called today saying they'll try to squeeze me in sooner, due to my emergency travel and a pending job offer. We'll see what happens, but for now I'm very excited!

So I know its been asked before, but how long did you guys have to wait from when the appointment was scheduled to receiving the notice in the mail?

happy to see that you got your bio metric finally, can you please confirm me one thing ,

if you go online in tool section of uscis and in the schedule an appointment>view appointment then by filling your name and DOB in the section below,  are you able to see your schedule appointment online?

Yeah, that's the same email I got right after submitting.

So based on my timeline it seems like it takes then about 2 weeks to review your request. And then who knows how long to hear something from USCIS...

    Yup.

Yesterday i talk with uscis tier 1 staff and she told me to wait till 90 days, so it means it is useless to talk uscis before 90 days. I dont know what magic they will do if 90 days are over haha

    Yup.

And I guess I did receive a reply from them, just nothing helpful yet. I submitted the online form on 8/13. This is what they sent me on 8/26:

    Dear Sir or Madam,

The Ombudsman's Office has reviewed your request for case assistance and contacted U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) regarding your application/petition.

We will notify you when we receive information from USCIS.

I submitted on 7 September and only got this initial submissio reply:

    Dear Sir or Madam,

Thank you for submitting a request for case assistance to the Ombudsman’s Office.  A copy of information you shared with us is below, for your records.  We will review your submission to determine how our office may assist.  If we are unable to help, we will notify you promptly.
