  1. What is the fastest and most reliable way to send mail to Mexico? I mailed a letter to the capital of a state at the end of April and it never arrived, but I mailed it regular US airmail.

I've heard DHL and Fedex are the best way to go, but what if I am just sending letters and although it would be of sentimental value, I still prefer it not get lost? Is there a special method with US Mail (like Express with Delivery Confirmation or Return Receipt?) that I could use where it's between $15 to $20 and very reliable?

Federal Express. Otherwise, you are dependent on the Mexican mail system for delivery . . . which may never happen.

So it seems Fedex and DHL are the best ways to go...

  4. I'm a little confused about the interview for the K1 visa. After the I-129F is submitted, and the USC receives their interview information, is it the USC or the foreign fiancee who submits the additional evidence of their ongoing relationship?

In many countries the USC is not allowed to be present at the interview and in no country is the USC's presence required at the interview. The foreign fiancee hands over any evidence asked for at the interview. The couple jointly has the responsibility for making sure anything that might be asked for, is available.

Oh, I see. I thought that I would also have an interview?

My parents went through this about 25 yrs ago, where my mother had her interview in her country and my father had an interview here is the US.

  5. I really don't think they would call your company for clarification. Don't worry about it.

The USCIS didn't call my husband (then fiance) nor his workplace at all.

I'm confused about this too - if USCIS doesn't call, then what's the point of the G325A being filled out by the foreigner? I understand that the USC has to provide an affidavit from his/her employer, show the past 5 yrs of tax returns, etc. to show that the foreign fiancee won't be a burden to society...

If USCIS doesn't call, then how do they verify where the fiancee has worked for the past 5 yrs?

  6. Hi all, I'm new to the site and I've searched the forums but haven't found any information about specific interview questions after the K1 visa is issued. Can we have this thread ONLY include questions that you and your fiancee were asked at your interviews, besides the "How did you meet?" question?

I'm wondering if they ask questions like:

Where did your fiancee go to school?

What does your families think of your relationship?

    Describe your first/second/third date.

Describe the street of the hotel you and your fiancee stayed at.
