Me (US citizen) and my fiance have decided to stay living in the UK together, instead of using our granted K1 visa which is in my fiance's passport. This is because the EAD waiting times are sadly too long.

- Is there anything we need to do, in terms of notifying the US embassy, or sending back the packet of docs?

- Will this affect travelling to the US at a later point (getting an ESTA).

@Ah96 That's amazing! Can I ask what the circumstance was? Ours was cancelled and it's heartbreaking having to cancel the flight in September.
And were you able to book a date through https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv/schedule/ as I've checked every day and it's shown no dates?

Same here - awful news. They quoted Trump's labor ban in a separate email. No interview dates to book. Any for you @FM Beauty Bar

The embassies are phasing back into operating so once they are fully phased back in the processing should start again. 
 

Given we are able to schedule appointments and dates have been moving in real-time it seems as though there is some kind of plan in place at least.

Yep believe all of July was taken. August was the soonest.

No K2 kids. So I logged in, and it just had my email address showing. Then I think I clicked add group and it then requested ds-160 details etc. Before then, it was a continuous loop of logging in and not getting anywhere.

Green page.  K1s are process by the Immigrant Visa Unit so all booking, checking, emailing goes to IV. Your status will show as immigrant. Then as the last thing before the Visa status changes to “Issued”, the status will show as Nonimmigrant. That’s a clue your visa is ready to issue.

Back to problem booking ...what does your status say when you check CEAC? Does it say “Ready”?

 

Thanks Wuozopo! Yep, it has said ready for a while. Managed to book in August eventually No sure what fixed it, I think clicking 'Add Group' did it for anyone else struggling.

I've tried booking through 'Immigrant' on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv and it is pretty much a blank page - nothing is there to book. 
Is K1 booked through immigrant (green page) or non-immigrant (blue page) on this website?
