    the Difference?

    in normal times an expediated application would get a faster interview/  now,  no interviews are going on

    When the Casa embassy opens ,  they still are going to do the cancelled CR1's 1st and then others

    you do not have a timeline so i had to go thru past posts to get an idea of your current situation and looks like your case is from April

    no matter what else is going on with the covid ,   USCIS is going to furlough 70% of its workers here next week as the government did not approve giving money to help them

    and that means a bigger slow down

    i am so sorry for this happening to all on here as it is heartbreaking

    stay strong and pray

    allah yessir

    Yes I am following the news and the embassy too. We all have to be strong it's a tough time. Yes I have to do the timeline, thank you really.

    According to previous posts your husband is the USC and only he can ask for this

    he can ask to expediate case and if successful,  the paperwork here will be a little faster

    medical condition??? some like TB will not help the case

    but even,  if expediate is accepted,  you will not get an interview as long as casa embassy still closed to interviews and the city in lockdown

    Ap can last a year after that as experienced by a member here whose wife was from Fes

    Be prepared to wait

    this whole process requires patience

    allah yekbel

    Oh wow. That's too long lol. What's the difference then

    There are specific criteria and documentations needed for expedite requests.  Expedites are generally done only to benefit the USC.

    Morocco is a tough embassy - you won't be able to expedite AP/background checks etc.

    A refusal of an expedite request does not affect the visa application.

    Thank you! I know they are tough but it is an important request. I just thought that it might hurt my case

    My fiance received her k1 visa a few weeks ago. I got her a ticket from casablanca to jfk. She received authorization to fly from the police in morocco and she was set. She went to the airport and everything went smooth. She was sitting in the plane and the captain told her to unboard. She asked why and the told her they received an email from american authorities saying you cant enter the USA. When she asked why, they said it’s confidential. What should we do? The consulate said she can travel. I am very concerned.

    Maybe it is about stopping citizens and lpr from entering the USA. That proclamation that Trump is trying to sign.

    Link to the text of the proclamation for those concerned. Quote below;

    "(b)  The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 1 of this proclamation shall not apply to:

    (i)     any lawful permanent resident of the United States;

    (ii)    any alien seeking to enter the United States on an immigrant visa as a physician, nurse, or other healthcare professional; to perform medical research or other research intended to combat the spread of COVID-19; or to perform work essential to combating, recovering from, or otherwise alleviating the effects of the COVID-19 outbreak, as determined by the Secretary of State, the Secretary of Homeland Security, or their respective designees;  and any spouse and unmarried children under 21 years old of any such alien who are accompanying or following to join the alien;

    (iii)   any alien applying for a visa to enter the United States pursuant to the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program;

    (iv)    any alien who is the spouse of a United States citizen;"

    My husband is a citizen and they didn't review our case. Last submission was March 26th. Is this normal?

    Hello guys, I know I might sound dumb saying this but am freaking out.. this is my 86th day waiting for a DQ and still haven't received a single response, is this normal?

    My submission date was 7th of march 2020, Do I call the NVC? is there something wrong with my case? everything says that it's submitted and all is going well (when I hover my mouse on them).

    Thanks for your attention.

    I think they only review cases of citizen spouses at this point but they are on hold for lpr.

    I am also waiting. Can't believe I'm still waiting till now.

    Am I right? I just think that they didn't move from Feb 14th Bec of the lpr cases

    Stay strong my friend. We are almost at the same period, mine was 24th January with the RFE now. I guess they put us back on the line.

    God is hearing you and he had a plan for you even before you born and he will never put on your shoulders more than you can handle.

    We are all tired, believe me. I want to have kids I want to have my own house. It looks crazy that we only ask for simple things but we have to suffer...

    Anyways good luck 🤞 and stay strong!

    Hi, when you re-upload a document requested, does the date upload keep the first submission date (highlight in red)?

    @Alix64 what did you re-upload of marriage cert date show or was it a brand new upload?

    I had to resubmit the I-864 because I needed to separate multiple document types. I added the additional documents below and those dates reflected the second re submission dates.

    Wondering if I did something wrong with the I-864 re-submission?

    Mine stayed the same too for i864, the same date didn't change after the second submission

    is that fee $220 ?

    If you have not paid all required fees to either the National Visa Center or via the appointment website, please be prepared to pay these fees on the day of your interview. All fees may be paid in either U.S. dollars or the Moroccan dollar equivalent. We accept cash and credit cards only. Please note that if you are found ineligible to receive a visa, the application fee cannot be refunded.

    This is a website and the paragraph was from my embassy. You might be right for i130 we pay at the nvc. I am sorry if I gave a wrong answer, because I am waiting too.

    We submitted all documents for me January 21 and my kids at January 24. March 25 we got a message from NVC, they wanted my husband’s divorce decree in my case. He submitted it. Also he immediately submitted this document in cases of my kids too, it was 25th of March. 2 days later we got DQ for my kids and all documents were approved, including last one at 25th of March.

    Oh that's great. We have the same dates, that is awesome.we also got a message from nvc about the divorce decree and we submitted everything on March 25th, but still didn't hear anything after that. I don't know if I have to wait another 9 weeks, It was really devastating

    Hey guys,

    Question for y'all. Does anybody know if there's a fee we have to pay at the embassy on the day of the interview? We're waiting for our interview to be scheduled and my wife's friend who was in AP for 7 years (She was deported and had a very complicated case) insists that there's a $350 dollar fee she paid at the embassy each time she went for her interviews. I told my wife that we paid all the fees at the NVC stage and that includes the visa fee. Im I missing something here? Am I RIght? Is she wrong?

    Im under the impression her case was different because she had to schedule her own interview on the AIS website, so that only makes me believe she didn't deal with NVC nor pay fees.

    In my country yes, I heard we pay a fee at the day of the interview, those are the fees for the visa I guess. They used to use a bank but now we pay cash. I am not at the interview stage yet, so good luck!
