  1. Got my NOA1 ;) And you were right, there was a 1 number difference between the number behind the check and the actual number on the NOA1. :luv:

btw is it normal that my case is pending at the NBC ? Shouldn't it be at the CSC ?

    Hi Catou

As of today, my I-129F has also been pending at NBC for about last 10 days or so but its my understanding (and upto a small extent - a guess) that eventually it will get moved to CSC... but I m not 100% sure about it.. Can someone else please chime in to share what they saw in their application process..

Hope this helps... have a great weekend

    Regards

  2. SQUEEEEEE!

:dancing: PETITION APPROVED! NOA2 received by email this morning. :dancing:

Still no NOA on the I-129F though, and check hasn't been cashed yet.

Congratulations to RocksN and dgv... I am so happy for you... Wish you all the best for the rest of your VJ.. yay...

So, looking at these two cases sprung up these questions/notes in my mind:

Note 1) It actually is REALLY possible that some may get their I-130 approved(NOA2) in about a month or so timeframe, just like Rocks' and dgv's was ajudicated. I mean I thought it wasn't even possible that someone would actually get their NOA2 in about 30 - 45 days. Regardless, I m happy for u guys. Seeing some NOA2 also encourages me for my own :)

Question 2) So, one question I have is, is this NOA2 receiving time difference really due to different service centers (and their workload I guess...) or is it totally random depending upon individual cases?

Anyhow, good luck again and have a great weekend u guys... I m happy to see some progress in your cases...

    Regards,

    Pkewl

  3. According to the VJ visa guide: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k3guide

Once you receive the NOA1 for the I-129F:

Note: Begin assembling information for the interview - vaccination records, I-134/I-864 supporting documents, and other items listed below that will be necessary to send to your spouse for their interview.

    Vaccination records? ours? huh?

    Hey Divine..

Thanks for bringing this up. I have this question myself about whose vaccinationn records are they referring to over here.

I know for sure that the beneficiary has to go thru the whole medical exam (and possibly show vaccination proof) in their country at the time of their interview but I am not sure if petitioner's vaccination records are required too. I have barely started to gather info/docs post I-129F while I am waiting for my NOA2 for the same but I remember running into this guide and wondering about this vaccination issue myself.

Can someone please clarify this. Thanks and appreciate everyone's help.

    DEB:

I totally feel for you!! Today I tried calling my hubby, it was the craziest thing.. first someone who didn't sound nigerian answered and a second later it was disconnected and rang again, then a lady answered in german, it was disconnected and started ringing again and some Nigerian guy answered in Yoruba. (yes I only dialed once). I called him again and he answered. I was hysterical, I asked him if he was Lanre of Nigeria or of China. He was confused. I talked to him for a whole two seconds when the phone died on him. He calls it the nigerian syndrome.

Some areas are worse with power than others. We're not doing too bad but the fuel issue is HUGE! He can't get online at all either. Hang in there, it will improve.

    Deb and Divine,

Just wanted to say I feel a lot for you both, esp. after what Deb said about no electricity, phones and some basic simple things in life. It makes me appreciate more for what I/we have here in US. Anyways, I know these immigration processes can be frustrating but u guys hang in there. Things will get better. Good Luck and I 'll pary for u guys. I have some trying days myself.

    Divine,

Sorry to hear about the name mess up. I know its a though dilemma and worst thing is I cant seem to make up my mind either when I think what I would have done had i been in your shoes. I wanna say I probably would have mailed I-129F with a letter clearing stating the name mistake on USCIS' part and with a highligted NOTE that you will follow up with a corrected NOA1 as soon as you get one from USCIS'.

    Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  5. Hi All,

Before I start this post, I just wanna say that this post may not be 100% relevant to this thread. But since we all are K3 filers here, I just wanted to share this piece of info that I observed and ask this K3 processing times/dates related questions here, esp. since they pertain to K3. My apologies if this doesn't belong here. G&A, please feel free to delete this.

This is about USCIS Processing Date.

I posted this as a reply in one of the service center subforum but dint get any response so I just wanted to post it here to see what other K3 filers have to say/reply:

    1) CSC shows I-129F for K1/K2 but not for K3 ... I cant seem to recall if thats always been the case in CSC's processing date reporting???? Any ideas? but ofcourse the CSC page did get update since now its listing all the I-130 categories.. unlike before..

    2) Whats even more interesting is: the NBC/MSC doesn't list I-129F(K3) either..

    3) A couple of days ago... NSC(if not NSC then one of the other 'X'SC) had listed March 15, 2007 as a current processing date for I-129F(K3) I believe, which I think is gone in this last(June 18th) update... So I dont think Spousal I-129F(K3s) are listed anywhere... Anybody find otherwise.. please let us know...

    Bottomline:

My question is: Does anybody sees ANY K3 related processing time/date in ANY of the service centers. Unless, I am totally missing them I cant seem to see these K3 related dates ANYWHERE. Not that they were accurate in the first place but atleast they were listed and we could make some wild guesses. Ofcourse, the VJ timelines seems to do a much better job of it but still it would be helpful to see some data on the USCIS' official website, however incorrect they might be. MY biggest gripe is, WHY aren't they listed at all. I mean is something up with this process like rerouting of all the K3 application to one of the service centers or something.. Anyway, I just wanted to get some other opinions or if they knew any different...

    Regards.

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On June 20, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this

I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.:dance:

    Hi dgv76,

Congratulations on your approval... :) :)

Just wanted to make sure what I read and understood is correct: This is your I-130 NOA2 Correct? The reason I am asking this is because I think my I-130 was sent just a week or so after yours. Not that I am expecting my NOA2 anytime soon(altho it 'd be great) but I am just surprised yet REALLY REALLY happy for you, if u did get your I-130 NOA2. Can you please tell me which service center you mailed your I-130 to so that I can do some more tracking.

Thanks for your time and help.

    Regards,

    Pkewl

    Hey djv76,

You can ignore my question about which service center u mailed your I-130 applicaiton to. I see that your home state is CT, which means u probably sent your I-130 to VSC and that may explain your early NOA2 for your I-130. But please feel free to share anything that you may think help the rest of us.

    Thanks again.

  8. PKEWL!

Thank you thank you! ALL PRAISE TO GOD. Seriously - these things can take between 6 months and 2 years. So just pray for the best.

1 - From what I know of VSC versus others, VSC is definitely the fastest in the country. So I do humbly think I was processed faster because the package started out at VSC. But I suggest you don't worry about this - as you can't do anything about it. The chances of yours getting shippped to Vermont were just as likely as mine leaving Vermont for California. You can't control this. But if you do get a notice that it's going to VSC, then this may mean it'll be sooner than later (but still a while).

2 - Evidence?? I went crazy man. Homeland Security has every evidence I can think of. Pictures of our engagement, the wedding, original wedding invitation cards, ONE YEAR of call logs (and i diligently highlighted every phone call to her phone number), flight itineraries, tickets, boarding passes, hotel booking receipts, marriage certificate, even Western Union receipts I suppose (although i didn't do this one). Put it this way - if they even dared ask me for an RFE - I would have nothing else to show!!

3 - My biggest advice is this fantastic website. Spend a lot of time on here. Ask a lot of questions. USE THE TIMELINES! I was able to tell my wife an approximate date of her interview from using statistics here. I pulled five people that applied for K3s and went through Chennai in the last two years. And I was the sixth - right in line with everyone else. This gives you a bit of clarity. Use the timelines, look at everyone else's. Find people that are two to three months ahead of you and they would serve as good timeline guides. Use the forums as well. It's shocking as to how many people post so frequently here. The hardest part of the process is not knowing what next, or not knowing how long. So the biggest advice I can give you is RESEARCH. Stay organized!! Make copies of everything. If possible make electronic copies of everything too. I have a cover letter for I-130 which itemizes everything sent, and the same for K-3, and even the same for what I sent to my wife after NOA2!!

The more you research, the more you know, the more you relax. Does this help?

    Djveed: IT HELPS A LOT.

THANKS A LOT for taking time out to reply to my queries. I cant appreciate enough. Thank you!!!

    1) VSC cs. CSC: This is out of our hands so lets not even talk about it :)

    2) For my I-129F (K3): As far as evidence/proofs are concerned, I have sent pretty much everything you mentioned (organized w/ a cover letter in the order of the package contents) including my engagement and wedding pictures and phone call logs up until my day of filing. Since I dint had the knowledge at the time of filing (partly because I came across this website after), at the time I DID NOT know to include my travel itinerary (tho they have a copy of my US passport page in which there is entry/exit stamp with dates), copies of boarding passes and hotel booking receipts. Oh wow… I m not going to sweat about it now since the app has already been mailed and NOA1 received. If need be, I will handle it later but the key point is I WILL give all of these copies to my wife for her to show at the time of interview, if they ask for it.

    3) Amen to your point of RESEARCH/READING on this website. Barely into this whole K3 process, I cant stress enough how valuable this website has been for me in terms of gathering knowledge and sharing. This is one of my frequents now. In addition, I m a big fan of timelines too and I do track cases similar to mine and the ones that were filed 2 – 3 months before mine.

Lastly, just wanted to say thanks and Good Luck again for your remaining journey. And please pray for me and others who are barely starting. Good Luck to all of us.

    Regards,

    Pkewl

  9. USCIS website is updated now....CSC shows I129F and I130 again....well back to waiting now...

    Wish..

I m sure you probably observed this too.. but just wanted to share this with all of you...

U know whats interesting... CSC shows I-129F for K1/K2 but not for K3 ... I cant seem to recall if thats always been the case in CSC's processing date reporting???? Any ideas? but ofcourse the CSC page did get update since now its listing all the I-130 categories.. unlike before..

Whats even more interesting is: the NBC/MSC doesn't list I-129F(K3) either..

So I dont think Spousal I-129F(K3s) are listed anywhere... Anybody find otherwise.. please let us know...

So bottom line, as people say, who knows whats goin on at USCIS.... and these dates are never correct/latest anyways... so its best to ignore them - at times... :)

    Regards.

  10. Looks like I should be getting my NOA1 for the I-129f next, although it's already late :( It's a little frustrating when looking at the average processing times. Makes it feel like things will be longer than average. The NOA1 for the I-130 took a month which was already frustrating and there's delays in Montreal for the interview.. Grrrr

Sorry about venting. Feels good to share :/ At least, I know it's temporary and I guess a month or two more waiting isn't the end of the world. I'll be with my sweety in the end and that's what counts :)

Catou1181, do you recall what the USCIS website said for your I-130? I am looking for the date they said the NOA1 was mailed. Mine says "On June 9, 2007, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN" so trying to see how long it takes from the date they claimed they mailed it.

my theory is that it takes like 2 weeks to mail from the 3rd floor to the mail room and then 2 days form the mail room to my house :)

G&A: Not sure if you are looking for this but I think you can get some pretty close idea about ur NOA1 from my status.

In my signature you have the info that I received my mail NOA1 on 06/06/07 and my USCIS's online status says this:

"On June 1, 2007, we received this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, and mailed.... ". Keep in mind that CSC received my packet on 05/17/07. One more piece of info that may help u or I guess confuse u more(it did it to me) is that the check on the bank's website appeared the same day I received my I-130 NOA1 in the snail mail - 06/06/07. It almost looks like they printed/issued the NOA1 even before the payment/check was cleared from my account...:)

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need some further info.

  11. Hi all

I am "patiently" (well, ok,...not!) waiting for my I129F to arrive in Chicago, should be any day now.

I was wondering - once they get it, do you get an email notice of the I-129F NOA1, or a snail-mailed paper notice? Do you get a different case number than your I-130? Can you get the case number off the back of the check and sign up to see your touches like you can for your I-130 progress?

It's great to have this forum to share the stress with!

(and a BIG thanks for that chart G&A!)

    Hi Fellow VJers'...

Hope this is not too late but let me try to address some of the very good questions that RocksAnne(btw, I love ur usename.. it sounds energetic..lol) brought up...

NOA1 Email: If I understand ur question correctly then the answer is you get the same snail mail I-797C Notice of Action in the mail... Aleast I DID NOT get any email as such in reagards with my I-129F NOA1.

Receipt or Case Number: YES. IT IS A DIFFERENT CASE NUMBER THAN YOUR I-130 and mine starts with MSC********** and thats expected since the route for I-129F seems to be Chicago--> MSC(Missouri Service Center, which I believe is also known as NBC[National Benefits Center]) --> YOUR XXX Service Center(based up ur home state). Please dont quote me on this but I think this is how I-129F seems to get processed.

Getting the case# from the back of your check: I m not sure if this is common but I tried deciphering some numbers that were behind my check's image that was uploaded by my bank's website but I couldn't interpret it or make some sense out of it. As such, I just gave my NOA1 to arrive in the mail 4-5 days (or so I was hoping at that time) and yes it indeed came in the mail on 06/15/07, after about 3 days since I saw the check being posted on my account. Altough, I have to say it here that for some reason the image of my I-129F check was really distorted and I couldn't make out all the numbers on the back of it. This may be an issue on my bank's part but in the same sense I was able to clearly read my receipt# on the back of my I-130 check.

Signing up on the USICS website: In my case, I did signed up and now have TWO receipt numbers(one each for I-130 and I-129F) to track in my USCIS' portfolio.

Hope this is some helpful info for all the ppl who are still waiting for their NOAs.

Finally, amen to Rocks' sentiment of "It's great to have this forum to share the stress with!" I totally agree with it. And once again, thank you all for sharing ur info/thoughts.

    Regards,

    Pkewl

  12. Sorry Tarek. I will update. Also, it would be a good idea to set up your timeline on VJ. Ckick on the My timeline link on the left or go to http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/intro.php

    G

Thanks G! I updated my timeline there and I'll keep everyone else updated. It tells me that based on other member's timeline, my I-129F should be adjudicated as early as 09/26/2007 and my I-130 as early as 07/04/2007. That's great news and I hope there are no delays. I just want my wife to have her K3 visa ready before December when I visit her so that she can come with me. :)

Wow... Tareq.. I m hoping for something very similar.. I am planning to visit India in Dec and it 'd be great if my wife and I can come back together... That wud be so much fun ... lol

G&A: Thanks again for doing all you do to maintain the sheet and lastly good luck to all of us...

  13. Djveed...

I have a couple of quick questions in regards with ur case... but first of all, let me congratulate you and ur wife for this big step... I m not there yet but I can imagine how happy you both must be... I am really happy for both of u too...As a matter of fact, I think yours is like one of the fastest K3 I have ever seen, atleast thru my recent VJ readings - 120 days from I-129F filing to Visa Interview AND APPROVED.... WOW.. :D I hope I did the math correctly...

    So onto my questions:

    1) Was/Is your K3 processed faster since you are dealing with VSC vs. CSC, which is where I expect my petition will probably get moved for NOA2?

    2) I have already submitted my I-130 and I-129F so this is kinda moot question for me but I am sure this will help other future filers. Is there anything special (like docs, stong proofs...etc) that you submitted, which got the NOA2 faster than compared to other cases that I have come across so far on VJ?

    3) Since you have already gone thru the big hurdle, based upon your VJ, are there any tips/suggestions/strong-recommendations that you 'd like to share with us that may help us who are barely starting this process?

Again, please dont get me wrong for asking all of these questions. I am really happy for both of you. I am just trying to educate and prepare myself.

Thanks for you time and help.

    Regards

    Pkewl

    Again

  14. Hi Everyone:

Just to tell everyone, my I-130 NOA1 came May 29 (like my timeline said), but there was no "notice date" or "received date" on there.. everything else was on there (case number, address, my name, what I petitioned for).. however, the I-129F had the "notice date" and "received date" (notice date of 6/11, and received of 6/9, considering I sent in I-129F on 6/4)..

    Hi Guys,

    Hope e'one is doing good.

I just wanted to share with you all a small but an important update in regards with my wife's I-129F(K3) application.

Today, 06/15/07, I received my NOA1 for it. More detailed info can be found in my signature and in my timeline.

G&A: Next time whenever you are updating the sheet, I 'd appreciate if can you please update my info/dates. Please feel free to ask me any questions that you may have in case if I m missing anything here.

Lastly, I wish good luck to everyone(including me) here at VJ. Thanks to all for sharing ur info. Moreover, I just wanted to express that this site has really been a great help to me, as I m sure many will attest to the same fact, and I mean not only from the timeline comparison perspective but also psychologically. It helps you go thru this what seems like a long long and yet longer... VISA JOURNEY to be with your loved ones...

In addition, I wanted to express my special thanks to G&A for maintaining the sheet. I am sure he is bz too, just like many of us here, but thanks for taking time out to update and maintain this sheet.

    Regards,

    Pkewl

  15. pkewl, noted the date. This is not a bad turnaround time. you are the first to get the NOA1 in the May filers group (at least per the table). You get a red bar. (you will see what i mean when i post the next update). Just waiting for more changes...

Just a minor update: As of yesterday, the check did clear my account. The transaction was posted today with yesterday's date on it.

NOTE: One of the main reasons I am sharing this info is to let you all know that, YES, on the back of the check, it does have my Case or Receipt number. Having already received the actual NOA1 in the mail, I can verify that. So, for all the people keeping track of their case's progress thru bank transaction(Check clearance), in case if you dont get your actual NOA1 in the mail or if there is some kind of delay, then you can still use the WAC****(at least it was "WAC" in my case) number from the back of the check to keep track of your case's progress.

Hope this helps. Good Luck to all.

  16. ARE THERE ANY MORE MAY OR SO FILLERS THAT ARE STILL WAITING FOR A ANSWER FROM UR LOCAL SERVICE CENTER LIKE US HERE? PLEASE ADD ON TO MAKE EVERONE ONE OF US AWARE OF ANY ISSUES WITH OUR LOCAL SERVICE CENTERS.!~

    Hey Man,

I'm in the same boat too. I've posted a couple threads on a few forums but if you see below... I filed on 5/10 and still haven't heard a peep. I'm waiting for the 30 days to call them up and hopefully they have a case number for me or something to spark the hope. It can get very despressing without a response. You kind of wonder in your head if they even got it at all. I sent it to the Vermont Service Center but it looks like they are all running pretty slow. May filing is crammed because of all the applicants. I'll keep you and everyone else posted if I get a nod from the VSC. Have patience and faith ya'll.. we'll get through it

    Hi All,

Just wanted to let you guys know that I received my NOA1 today (06/06/07) for my wife's I-130 that was received by CSC on 05/17/07.

    Good Luck.

  17. no it is a manual process. VJ has a lot of stats here http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/stats.php that are automatically updated based on the data members enter in their timelines (as you did).

This table is just a short summary of April/May/June K3 filers..

    Hi All,

As promised, I wanted to update everyone on my case. As updated in my signature, I received NOA1 for my wife's I-130 today, which was received by CSC on 05/17/07. :)

However, there are some strange things (maybe personally for me) that I observed with my case and I wanted to share with other people here to see if they are having similar experiences .

    1) As of today, 06/06/07, my check still hasn't cleared my bank account. I just checked online before this post. The only thing that I can think of is maybe there is a delay on my bank's side of update, which I doubt since its a national bank and hasn't been the case in the past.

    2) The "Notice Date" in the NOA1 is 06/01/07 but I received the notice letter just today in the mail. Apparently, it was mailed on 06/04/07.

Anyhow, I am sort of happy that I am atleast seeing some baby steps taken in my case. It was just getting little frustrating with everyday passing by and not getting the NOA1.

I wish e'one here(including me) all the best for some positive progress in their case.

G&A: Next time when you update the sheet, can u please update my info. Thanks a lot. Appreciate ur time and help.

  18. Hello Pkewl,

I sent my I-130 on 5/17/07 and it was received at CSC in Nevada on 5/18/07. I too, have not received my NOA1 nor has my check cleared the bank. I filed same date as you, so I am hoping that you will keep me informed of any correspondence from them that you get, so that maybe I can start looking for correspondence from them to me. Let's stay in touch.

    Thanks,

    Deb

    Hi Deb,

It sounds good to me... lets keep each other and others on this thread/topic informed about our progress.... I 'll update whenever there is some update to share..

    Regards,

    Pkewl

    Hi G&A,

  20. I-130 for my wife and step-daughter is sitting on the couch, waiting for the post office to open Teusday.

We married May 8, 2007 but I have been waiting on the contract for our apartment to be finished.

The new "Prove your really married" section of the I-130 seems so difficult for newly wed couples.

I will file my petition May 29.

Someone asked why people wait months to come to USA after they get their visa approved.

My wife already said this would happen.

She has a job, and family, and property that will require her time.

With the uncertainity in the approval process, we can't really schedule to do much ahead of time.

While we would love to be together as soon as possible, we have to handle all the reponsibilities we have too.

I look forward to listening to all your stories as we all progress along this journey.

    Hi All,

I am in the same boat as you all are. In fact, since I am not at the K-3 stage yet, I actually made a new thread in the IR/CR section to keep track of May I-130 filers. I mailed my I-130 to CSC and according to USPS website tracking, it reached CSC at about 10:30 AM as of 05/17/07. As of 05/31/07, I still haven't gotten the NOA1 and the check hasn't been cleared either from my bank account.

Since I am also going to file I-129F (K-3 Spouse), I am waiting so badly for my -130 NOA1 so that I can finally sent my I-129F packet off, which I have already prepared.

    --------------------------------------------

If anyone is interested, this is what I posted in the other forum:

    Hi,

I need some help to determine if I should have received my NOA1 (I believe its called) by now for my I-130, which I filed for my wife on 05/17/07 (recv'd by CSC per USPS web tracking). If it matters, I overnighted it late on 05/15/07 and hence it was received by CSC at 10:30 AM on 05/17/07 according to USPS.

    My question:

In short, as of 05/31/07, I still haven't received any notice/correspondence from USCIS/CSC in regards with my wife’s I-130 application. In addition, as of today (05/31/07), even the check hasn’t been cleared from my bank account. I was told that I should receive the receipt in a week or so and since its been two weeks now, I was wondering if I should be worried about it and if I need to start emailing/calling (if its possible to do so at this point in time).

The reason why this is so important to me is becasue I am planning to file I-129F for the K-3 visa for my wife and hence its required for me to wait for the I-130 receipt, so that I can include it in my I-129F package.

Is there currently a delay at CSC in initial processing of I-130, at least as far as NOA1 is concerned? Can anybody please give me some input and if other May I-130 filers to CSC can share their timeline/status with me that 'd be great.

Thanks to all for your help and time. Appreciate it.

    Regards,

    Pkewl
