I got it same as yours when i checked my old K1. it is ok, nothing important .

Just fill out a form at Phong Xuat Nhap Canh and paid 200,000 vnd (or 400,000 i forgot), after 3-5weeks your son will get passport, that so easy.

@Anhmap : yes, vietnam passport can fill out name of son/daughter under 6 years old in passport of mother or father at Phong Xuat Nhap Canh in Vietnam. I have been done Vietnam passport for my son although he got US passport.

@Calilove : Im sure if yr son dont have Vietnam passport so he can not leave Vietnam, it is hard . Trust me. You say your wife go to Phong Xuat Nhap Canh where she got her passport and ask how to do new passort for your son. That is easier than fill out your son's name on your financee's passport.

Your son must have Vietnam passort for leave vietnam. if your fiance passport already have your son's name and photo, so your son dont need.

My husband have been call them, they said they will let us know around August. We will see...Hope good news for us.

Im waiting over 1 year and 5 months , i saw our I-130 touched with last updated june 24-2009. i dont know how long more for approval .... so sad.

Hey guys, im new here n read mostly the topics about K1 and K3. it surprised me that most of u here process the petition faster than i thought. My husband file a K3/K4 petition last July 2007 we assumed that the processing will only take about 9-12 months according to the US Embassy website, but until now as i checked the status online my petition is still "case received and pending" why? what took them so long? please help me what to do. im missing my husband so much!!

Hi MRSB: Im really understand how your feeling, cause it same as mine since my husband stared working papers. I can not sleep well, even after work in night-shift, i still stay up. im busy with baby and work but i think it can kill time pass quickly, but not. I think about our case all time, why arent we lucky like oher case ? we did not do wrong.

Just unhappy for my husband alone there, unhappy for our son can not see daddy....!!!

My husband have called uscis many time but they said waiting !!!

He did not ask congressman or senator for help without governemnt. Is it hard, if it right so i dont want he do anymore without waiting, i dont want to make he get more stress. In fact, that is uscis's job. They should have touch and approve our case like they do with other case.

Now,i only hope my husband can visit us soon and we will enjoy short time together.

My K3 is waiting over than 1 year for approval , we are living in long desperately for hope - why dont uscis approval our case, we are real, why they dont let us get together , why dont they let my son meet his dady soon ???? It is not fair for us.

My husband have been tried some ways but they still say us waiting ? Waiting until when ???

Goverment in Detroit said help us called to uscis and said with them we are nothing wrong....!!! But until now, we still have nothing news. What can we do more ????

yes.. saw that in your timeline..There was another member MarkNhi in this topic whose timeline states that they applied for 129F first then I130 ..i was wondering if thats possible.

We are also waiting for approval (NOA1 7th oct) ..what should be the next step? Does contacting congressman helps?

Im sorry, i waiting over 1 year since Feb 2008. But i still have nothing althought my husband called & sent letter to uscis,met goverment,...it is 0 with us. It is not fair.......i dont know why?

Len, my timeline was earlier on in this chain.

And we have gone to the senator, those are exactly the people who've said they can only send an inquiry once a month... My husband says we should now just wait and let them deal with it, but considering how well they've "dealt" with our case in the past, I don't exactly have much faith in any of it.

And by the way, it's been a week now, since the mystery papers from the USCIS... but no touches to our case, no nothing. I think we just got dismissed again.

Good news (yes there are some) are.... my parents have decided to try to help and sponsor for my husband's plane tickets to come see me, since I can't travel there risk free. So maybe in a month or two we can see each other for a couple of weeks. He has some vacation time coming.

Hi MRSB : About papers, i know how your feeling, it same as me. But we should wait patient ,we dont look and depend on it too much, if we often do that, we will see it take long...just let it come. A good turn is never lost. I trust we will get good news soon. You are so lucky cause your hubby will come see you , you should happy and wait for that day. My husband tried to call USCIS yesterday again, but we didn't really get anywhere since we apparently can't speak directly to someone "of importance". We still don't know what's going on with the I-130 like if it's still with the FBI or if anyone has actually done anything to it while they've been busy messing with the I-129F that was supposed to be terminated... The "boss" at the California Service Center should've received our letter by now... But I'm sure they won't bother calling, they'll probably just eventually respond with a generic reply letter. I wish we could afford to hire a lawyer, though I'm not sure if even that would help at this point. I just want answers and some action.

The first time i saw case same as mine even my case taking longer than your. I dont know why and we are just know to wait. Hope for u, for me and for all will get news soon from uscis. Im from vietnam,i have been interview for visitor visa but they did not agree that. They said me have to wait for interview about my case K3.

Just disapointing after hearing how much "faster" CSC was moving compared to VSC. Then to see everyone else getting approved while we are just sitting here.... frustrating to say the least!

Don't worry, my file dates are similar to yours. I'm not expecting to hear anything until April or May.
