Hi Lindal : i got IR1 visa. my husband already bought ticket just yesterday, after i called him that i got visa. the i checked email morning and i got my flight . it cost almost 1,300$ for me and our son. I wanted spend more time with my family in tet, but it will get more sad if i leave. so better, i have to leave soon. Thanks very much. Im so worry about tomorrow.

Im going to usa on Feb 6 at 11:55pm. will be there on 9:40 am Feb 7. Have somebody fly same as mine. Im so scare cause only me and baby go together. Now i can not tell how i feel, really miss my mom - family and Vungtau where i borned and grown up. Move to usa everything will start new.

Finally, after 2 weeks for waiting , today Feb 4 i got visa and packet from Us consulate. My friend who was interview same as day with me , she is still waiting until Feb 11. Anyway, i just want to say Thanks for all VJ Memembers , good luck to everybody !

My husband dont have it and everything is fine. your us citizenship , it is almost same Birth certificate, no problem. Dont worry. Good luck !

Note : My husband from Laos, and C.o asked me why dont my husband have Birth certificate ? then i said he lost it in Laos and he can not come back Laos to get it.

I went US consulate today for pick visa up, but they said they still not have my visa yet and said me have come back on Feb 4. My case same as Bryon's wife. im so sad cause still not come with husband same as our plan, but i can stay with my mom 1 more week....!!! Many people same as me today.

Sorry about that. I know that was hard interview for Thuy, i got before too but lucky i have baby and waited long time. Everything will be ok, PINK is still waiting for Thuy. Good luck to both you.

Almost Vietnamese like to have atmosphere of family than- if they want you stay at their house, that is good, so dont decline please. You can save some money (if stay at hotel) and can spend more time with girlfriend, you can see how your lady 's daily happend....

Before i and my husband not married yet, he visit me 2 first time and stay at my house, that was no problem. we had a lot fun (some time fighting, i was whom always failed, and he got my family's protection)...many reason keep your mind should stay with them , it will better than stay alone at hotel. I wish you will have a great trip. welcome to Vietnam !

Hi Scotthuy : i didnt sleep a night before interview. i dont know why. i worried too, could not relax. That is feeling of almost woman before interview. But it will be ok.

What did you do with your mobile when you went to the interview? I told her don't trust those women across the street offering to hold the phones for a few dollars...

Inside of Consulate have security man for keep our phone, just turn off phone and give for them, your wife will know when she wait to get in inside Consulate, dont worry. dont hear people across the street.

Sorry about that , I known your wife, cause she sat next me, i and her were looking papers together before submit. After interview, she saw me her Blue and she worried very much, im so sorry. Please patient and will bring PINK com back home. For me say hi to your wife. Good luck to both you !

Hi everybody , I got PINK already. I took 10 mins for interview, a Korean officer interviewed me with translator is Vietnam guy . Many questions which Im posting on below.

At 9:00am - I submit papers at Window 11 – a nice guy (vietnamese) he took all my paper as : Passort, Ho Khau, 4 photos (5x5), DS230 part 1 and 2. My son’s US passport and CRBA.

While he was checking it , he asked me :

- who is petition me ?

- Have I and him been married before ?

- Does he have any kids with exwife ?

- Do I and him have kids together ?

- Why don’t my husband have birth certificate ?

Then he said me go to chair and wait.

At 9:40 am – I went to window 8 for main interview. I answered by english but some question I didn’t understand and a tranlator help me. He was nice too.

- When your husband born ?

- How many time did he visit me ?

- When is last time he visit – how many days ?

Officer said : Please show pcitures both you spent time together (not married pictures) – and I showed to them.

- Do I and my husband have baby ?

- When was I born him ?

- Did your husband visit me when I borned baby ?

She wanted to see pictures baby and husband again.

- When did my husband divorce ?

- When did my husband married ?

- Where did I meet my husband ? when ?

She said she want to see letter write by hand of us ,not email .

- When did we married ?

- Where does my husband’s exwife live ? I said I don’t know address , I just know she live different state.

- Does my husband know her address ? I said yes.

Then she asked me : “where” – I said no, I don’t know, I just know my husband’s (this is trick question).

Then she said me come back seat and waiting about 5 mins. The window 7 – White guy called my name , I come and print my fingers and they gave me PINK .

I remember all that question ! Im really happy about this, Finally our family can get together.
