Hi Everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone knows how long it is currently taking to process greencards. Does anyone have a pulse on this?

Hello,
Does anyone know what the correct procedure is for applying for your green card, but wanting your married name on it which doesn't appear on any of my documents, immigrant visa was not in my married name. Do I have to apply, then apply for a name change and pay for that OR is there a simpler way to apply the first time with marriage certificate document? Does anyone have the answer to this question?

Hello, has anyone considered using Canadian Expatriate Medical Insurance after moving to the USA? Any insights or feedback would be greatly appreciated. I heard about it recently from an insurance agent.

I wish I had good news like everyone that has had interviews or had their interview today. The interview portion was painless and quick. I had all and extra documents. Everything was going amazing until the end when he told me he couldnt approve my visa today and gave me no further information. TO say I feel shattered is an understatement.
I am so very sorry to hear this, I was watching for you but didn't see you. I read the thread and it must have to do with your replacement passport,.. I know that isn't comforting right now ... if you ever need to chat I'm sure we are all here for you. I'll be praying that you hear from them very soon.

I imagine that the passports submitted to NVC are the old ones that were stolen. So when SeriaRisa came to the interview with new passports for both her and her daughter, it led to additional administrative processing. Probably to check it's the same person? Not sure but it must be related to the passport situation.
I do agree they should have explained and told her what to expect now though 😟
I agree! This is probably the situation, BUT yes!, they should have given her more information, that is just terrible to send someone away without giving her an explanation or next steps..

Let us know how it goes.
Thank you everyone!
My interview process was painless. It went much like others have stated in the past. Don't arrive early, they won't let you into the building until your appointment time, possibly a minute or 2 ahead that is all. The man who looks after the door isn't super friendly. They scan you and your contents before sending you to the first floor immigration room. As you would expect they are particular about masks and social distancing in the consulate. They first time they called me up they just asked for the stated required documents, nothing else. Passport, passport photo, birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce if applicable, medical ( I gave them my old one even though they received a second one electronically) police certificate, I-864. Then I was asked to sit back down and wait for my name to be called for the interview. My interview was at 10:30, an hour after my documents were taken. My interviewer, was friendly, said ,"you must be really happy to finally be here, we are too, it's been a long time!" . He only asked me 3 questions, 1, how did I meet my husband. 2. when did I meet my husband 3. What was the longest time you have stayed in the USA. (3 months during COVID) He said everything looks great, he then got up and got me a "Welcome to the USA" letter and said that the Visa would take about a week. He seemed on high speed, didn't seem to care about any details!
Thank you all so very much for your help and support along this journey! God Bless you all in your upcoming interviews and new lives in the United States.

Hello,
My husband and I married July 2018, he is from Washington state near the Canadian border, I am from British Columbia just on the other side of the border. We finally received notice that they excepted all of our paperwork and we are now waiting for an interview time in MONTREAL. Any idea of the wait times for interviews?
Thank you!

I just asked the pharmacist and he wrote a note stating the vaccine given and the date. This is accepted.
