No …the OIS services office in Washington that handles the visa process from the US but am using Atlanta office since the Washington office is slow and confused. 
But am done with the process and would be in Nigeria soon with my family. Thanks so much sir!

Between the embassy page and the OIS page, you will get all the info you need to get the visa for wife and kid.

I don't call or deal with the embassy.

The visa appointment is booked on the OIS site. If you walk in, you get charged an extra $50 per person.

Even OIS will try to charge you all sorts of additional fees.

 

FYI I just checked the OIS site and they seem to have their equivalent of drop box with a fee of $105

 

Read the instructions, have all your documents, don't even use their computers or printer and you might escape without additional fees

Thanks for this …I actually called the Washington office of the ois services and the lady I spoke to told me I also need a visa to visit Nigeria and I told her I don’t since am a Nigerian citizen but she told me all has changed with the policy and so I said alright. 
And then she gave me the information I needed for my wife and kid but after that I had to call Atlanta office of the ois and they gave me a better information of all I need to know about my wife,my kid and myself.

I called the Nigerian embassy to book a date for my wife and daughters interview,only for her to tell me that I need a visa too. I told her it’s impossible and what’s the importance of my passport and then she said,she’s just letting me know that things has changed in the system with the Nigerian government and I said no problem. That’s the reason I thought as to ask. 
This extortion is getting too much and I pray God help them to desist from such evil way of life.

Do I need a visa to travel to Nigeria from the US as a Nigerian Citizen but a US Greencard holder?

On the day of the interview, I was given a printed form which indicated that I should submit a joint sponsor and a recent tax record.  
as for the joint sponsor form, that’s already filled out. 
This recent tax record is what am battling with. Trying to know if it’s simply a transcript or just W-2 form that I should send out to the document office. 
 

It all came out that my little one was born on the very morning of my interview in the states. And I was asked if I had a child by my wife and I said yes...and they asked me where’s her birth certificate and I told them my daughter just got delivered at 11:35PM in the states and 4:35AM in Nigeria that morning.
That was where he took a pause and  and gave me that print paper and asked me to provide the document ticked.

Joint sponsor is most often required when a principal sponsor is not Having sufficient income to cover the number of people on the tax. So that’s it. 

Please is there anyone that was given a form to provide a joint sponsor and a recent tax record? 

please I would like to know what am to submit to the GSS document collection center in Lagos state,Nigeria. 
 

Am I to submit either the W2 form or Transcript or strictly the transcript. 
I think submitting the transcript might take almost or over a month since the Tax filing begins this week. 
 

please I need urgent clarification from anyone who has been in this before,thank you!

The joint sponsor forms are the I864 and if applicable the I864A.  This is the same form your USC spouse filled out as a sponsor, but if your joint sponsor is married or they have other household members that are contributing to the joint sponsors overall income then that person would fill out the I864A.

I went for my interview yesterday and after all necessary questions which I confidently answered. I was given a form which had a tick on provision of “joint sponsor + recent tax returns” Put in between my passport. Please can anyone send me an image of this joint sponsor form. Thank you!
