    Hi all,

our case has finally been scheduled for an interview.

It’ll be on February 2nd so almost exactly 22 months after applying.

on November 9th the status changed to ready to be scheduled for an interview and a month and 20 days after so on December 29th, it changed to interview scheduled.

good luck to everyone who’s been waiting very patiently. I feel your pain, especially to be left in the unknown as to when they’ll ever treat your case.

I just received the mail and mine is scheduled on January 20th :)

Is there anybody here that saw some movement lately?
After my case changed to interview is ready to be scheduled à month and a half ago, we are still waiting.

i just talked to a tier 1 and when I asked him about the location of my file he told me that he’s only seeing that it was at the nbc back in May.

    i hope it was transferred..

I received an email this morning from USCIS stating my case has been scheduled for interview. Though I have not received the hard copy yet. I will update you once I receive the mail.

Thank you for your answer, the time is getting long.. I called yesterday and the guy told me our case was in Baltimore at the NBC and that if I wanted I could possibly transfer it to the field office but a tier 2 has to call me back to do that.

:) Im just waiting since we just got married last year. Approaching our 2nd wedding anniversary that’s probably when I will submit an inquiry or keep on sending them msg in my USCIS account.

  4. I dont know if I'm just overreacting but its been 124 days since the last time USCIS changed the status of my application (RFE response received) and I have not received any biometrics appointment yet, should I be worried? Or is it normal? How long does it take for them to make a decision after receiving RFE response? I sent them a message and they said they will send an inquiry to the National Benefits Center which is processing my case. Also I’m sorry if I put this topic in the wrong place. Any advice or input is very much appreciated.

Hello everyone, we received an RFE on May 15 regarding the “Federal income tax return submitted to the IRS for the most recent tax year”. My question is is the online version ok ?or do we need a physical copy for that? Where do I find it? Im just confused because we already submitted an online tax return transcript in the initial application. Any help would be appreciated.

We also did submit a cover letter but I only typed Tax transcript. Im wondering if that’s another reason. My husband did also print the transcript on March I wonder if thats the main culprit

Good luck and hang in there. You’re in for a long and possibly frustrating process. You’ll find lots of help (and some drama) on this site. 😃

But we’re all in this together.

Thank you very much ! I really hope it wont be as frustrating xD I just finished my medical exam a while ago, Im just hoping there wont be anything wrong. And I would call the embassy on Monday morning, thanks again for the reply 😀

I’m sure there is some mix up. And you’ll probably have better luck calling. It might suck and be a take a lot of time but it’s better than generic email responses.

Double check your application. I know I made a few mistakes on my wife’s I-130. (I’m still trying to correct them and it’s a PIA).

But The question remains who is Tetsunori? And why does USCIS think that is your son.

Is that who you’re filing the K1 for? Is that your step dad? Did you check a wrong box? Did you put a name in the wrong place? Or did USCIS just make a mistake?

(sorry for the odd size text. I’m copy/paste from a phone).

Hello @Scott001 and thank you for the reply, I would try calling them on Monday morning. I have no clue who Tetsunori is.

I think you should call or email them and ask if there was a mix up. You can start with “I have no clue who tetsunori is”

Thank you @Naes for always replying to me, I did email them if I need the original family register but they only got back to me with a generic answer of “ if your documents are in a different language it should be translated in english” apparently my fiance emailed them but they haven’t gotten back to us yet

  10. Hello Im new to commenting and I want to ask a question. Im applying for k1 and the Embassy sent me a requirement to be mailed to them

*Original Family Register showing birth for Tetsunori

Do I need to get this? Is this requirement only applicable for Japanese? I am a Gaijin.

    Thank you in advance.
