  1. How long does it take to get the i824 approved and sent?
  2. Hello everyone, Our i130 got approved but I have a question. This is what it says. Does it just mean it’s going to go to the nvc now? And why did they said it was retained? Anything I should be concerned about? “The above petition has been approved. However, you did not indicate on the petition whether the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa abroad at a U.S. Embassy or a U.S. Consulate or will apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Therefore, USCIS has retained the petition. If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filing address information can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov. If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.” does this just mean that everything will go to the nvc now and whenever we are ready to apply for adjustment of status to send this notice in with it because they will have the file? Nothing to worry about?
  3. So if he gets approved for his interview and let’s say it was in may or June then delay enters to the USA until after September? They would automatically give him the 10 year?
  4. Yeah I was planning to go for the interview with him. With my luck I’m afraid to go and then approving it and me having no way to send everything to the nvc haha. I never knew it took this long. Because before it wasn’t taking as long then they said because of Covid but that ended already. I wonder why it takes this long?
  5. Ok thanks. Yeah I’m planning to add him to the 2022 return I also added him to the 2021 tax return already.
  6. Yeah we have been married for less than 2 years. We got married September of 2021
  7. Do you know how long it will take for Morocco? Or if you have any advice for when the i130 is approved to make the nvc process faster?
  8. Thank you. I appreciate your help. By the way, do you think the nvc process takes a long time?
  9. Thank you so much. Can I contact you if I need any help in the future?
  10. The earliest you can submit questions is March 12, 2023. Please do not contact us before this date. We will notify you if we need any additional information. We appreciate your patience while we review your case. Processing times may change – return to this page regularly for updates.
  11. Ok thank you. It’s just taking a long time. It just sucks because I recently just had a baby and I was hoping by this time it would all be approved so my husband can see his child. I wonder why everything is taking too long.
  12. “ Processing time for Petition for Alien Relative (I-130) at Nebraska Service Center 80% of cases are completed within 10.5 Months
  13. “As of June 15, 2022, we are actively reviewing your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative.” And that nothing is outstanding
  14. Hello, I’m in need of help and I don’t know what to do. I filed an i130 for my husband on January 4th, 2022. I’ve been waiting for a reply from them apart from the receipt notice and nothing yet. Everytime I check online it says “actively reviewed by USCIS”. I checked the processing time and it says “your case is taking longer than expected”. Is there any action I can take regarding this?should I hire a lawyer? thank you!
