How long does it take to get the i824 approved and sent?

Hello everyone, Our i130 got approved but I have a question. This is what it says. Does it just mean it’s going to go to the nvc now? And why did they said it was retained? Anything I should be concerned about? “The above petition has been approved. However, you did not indicate on the petition whether the beneficiary intends to apply for an immigrant visa abroad at a U.S. Embassy or a U.S. Consulate or will apply for adjustment of status in the United States. Therefore, USCIS has retained the petition. If the beneficiary intends to apply for adjustment of status in the United States, they should submit a copy of this notice, along with a Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. They can obtain Form I-485 from the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov, by contacting the USCIS National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283, or by visiting the local USCIS field office. Filing address information can be found on the USCIS website at www.uscis.gov. If the beneficiary decides to apply for an immigrant visa outside the United States based on this petition, you should file Form I-824, Application for Action on an Approved Application or Petition, to request that we send the petition to the U.S. Department of State National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC processes all approved immigrant visa petitions that require consular action. The NVC also determines which consular post is the appropriate consulate to complete visa processing. It will then forward the approved petition to that consulate.” does this just mean that everything will go to the nvc now and whenever we are ready to apply for adjustment of status to send this notice in with it because they will have the file? Nothing to worry about?

Yeah I was planning to go for the interview with him. With my luck I’m afraid to go and then approving it and me having no way to send everything to the nvc haha. I never knew it took this long. Because before it wasn’t taking as long then they said because of Covid but that ended already. I wonder why it takes this long?

Hello, I’m in need of help and I don’t know what to do. I filed an i130 for my husband on January 4th, 2022. I’ve been waiting for a reply from them apart from the receipt notice and nothing yet. Everytime I check online it says “actively reviewed by USCIS”. I checked the processing time and it says “your case is taking longer than expected”. Is there any action I can take regarding this?should I hire a lawyer? thank you!
