  1. WOOOOHOOOO!

I GOT APPROVED!!! I JUST GOT AN EMAIL FROM CRIS!

*** DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS E-MAIL ***

The last processing action taken on your case

    Receipt Number: EACXXXXXXXXXXXX

    Application Type: I129F , PETITION FOR FIANCE(E)

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On January 2, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!!!! THAT SHOWS HOW F*CKED UP THEIR SYSTEM IS!!!!!!!!!:angry:

AND IT TOOK 9 DAYS TO GET THE NOA2 FROM VT TO NY!!!!

We still haven't received our approval notice via e-mail. <_< I'm guessing some time around our 25th wedding anniversary.

  2. Asian food markets have some really interesting snacks. My fiancee always sends me things from Thailand like different flavored potato chips...kimchi, thai chili paste, spicy squid, nori sea weed to name a few. All very good.

  3. I am getting frustrated now because I had sent several email to embassy asking for the status of my case and still no answer. Does anyone know what is going on at the Bangkok embassy?

Any luck getting a response from the embassy? I just sent them an e-mail asking them if they received packet 3 from my fiancee. I couldn't believe that they responded in less than 10 minutes.

Interesting. I've wrote the embassy twice in the last few weeks and they got back to me right away. The first time within 30 minutes. I plan to write them this coming week to see if they received our P-3.

  5. When I was first diagnosed with Crohns disease. Pain so bad I would double over and pass out. I think recently was having a cut on the back of my neck that got infected with staph. Infection had to be cut out and then they couldn't close the wound up...rather it had to be left open to heal from the inside out...on top of that, it had to be packed with gauze twice a day.

  6. Hi folks,

We should be getting close and I'm trying to get a jump on the Packet 3. I've found the forms needed thanks to some help from the forum but I find the instructions confusing. Don't want to mess it up now after all this wait so would appreciate some help.

1.It says to immediately send in the D-230 Part1 to the BKK Embassy. Is that all that is initially sent? I assume that I can send this as soon as we receive our NOA2?

2.Next to be sent would be the checklist when all requirements have been met. Should we wait until we have the police certificate in hand and the medical exam completed to send in the checklist, or can we return it while those are in process? I'm guessing that it's just timing and as long as you have them by the interview you're OK.

3.Verification of unmarried status: is this required of everyone? Neither of us has been previously married.

Thanks in advance for your help and best wishes and patience to all. Chok dii!!

You may see this also in the general forum, I clicked new topic instead of reply and can't figure out how to edit?? I'm not very good with this stuff!

You really don't want to send anything to the embassy until your petition is sent from the NVC to the embassy. My fiancee hasn't scheduled her doctors visit yet and won't until we have an idea when her appointment will be. The police certificate takes about 3 weeks to obtain. Although it won't expire for 6 months, you really want it as recent as possible.

Your verification of unmarried status is just the form you sent in with the I-129F stating that you and your fiancee are free to marry.

  7. Jack Cafferty is CNN's answer to FOX's Bill Oreilly.....nothing more than a Oreilly wannabe. Prioir to these comments on CNN tonight, he engaged in a Bush bashing tirade....Fair and balanced on CNN? It's a joke.

Having said that, I personally feel sorry for the dem's this year given their limited choice; a black man that has little substance/experience and HillBilly, the travelling act that wants to be the first tag-team presidency......

    depressing to say the least....

Nice...the way you put that, as if the color of the person's skin has anything to do with the ability to run a country.

  8. I have stomach problems, but I noticed I felt better when eating the foods over in Thailand. As soon as I came back here to the States, I had problems again...all the processed ####### here.

I have Crohn's Disease and the only time I do not have issues with it is when I live abroad. To top it of, the stress you have to deal with here in the States in 10X more than anywhere else......

I think we discussed this at one time before. I have Crohn's as well. Doesn't bother me much, but when it flares up, it sucks.

  9. Dear Joyce,

Have you ever taken a tub of Cool Whip and frozen it and eaten like ice cream? It is over the top in sinful goodness, but with fewer calories than ice cream. Enjoy.

  10. The Giants will be destroyed by the Patriots. My only consolation.

Umm, did you even see the game on 12/29. No "destruction" there. I am not sure than the Giants can beat the Pats, but I will enjoy watching them try!

If the game doesn't have players wearing green and gold, it's just not worth watching IMO.

  11. I was a little kid when disco was big, but I've always liked it. Kind of like funk, you can't listen to it and be in a bad mood. It always makes me laugh.

Joyce? Is that you? I thought you were made honorary Disco Queen from '76 to '79.

  12. * :(RFE's will be sent only to those applications who failed/forgot to submit necessary documents .

    So, GOODLUCK :dance::dance::dance:

That's pretty generalized. We received an RFE for something that isn't required until the interview.

    What and why?

They asked for a copy of her translated birth certificate. I could understand if I had put her untranslated b.c. in with the package, but I was told I did not need to send her b.c. with the I-129F petition.

The "why" to go with that was likely to document a name change. While the birth certificate of the foreign fiance or spouse is not specifically mentionded as a required document, documenting name changes is mentioned.

    There was no name change.
