I wish Vista would go back to the bowels of hell from which it came from.

Oh my gawds, that's so spooky! I bet he killed himself because his heart didn't want to live in the other mans body! It made him do it!
I've heard of this. Others who have received transplants have taken on personalities or quirks of the donor.

One way tickets are not always the best way to go. Sometimes they are. I got a one way ticket for my fiancee and it was almost $500 less than a round trip ticket.

The Exorcist has to be one of the best. I am also a fan of Japanese horror.

How are you planning on getting creative? Get your ducks in a row now so you don't have to worry about it come interview time. Believe me, ours came up fast. Just because this particular person didn't look at our paperwork that closely, doesn't mean whoever your fiancee gets for the interview won't look at yours. It's really a ####### shoot. Some just ask a few questions and breeze through the paperwork, others ask many questions and go through the paperwork with a fine toothed comb. I've heard of some people being asked for a "single certificate" at the BKK Embassy now. This was something that had been asked for on a regular basis in Vietnam, now it is happening in Thailand too.

Congrats Jamie! Hope you have an easy trip home!!
How well did they check out your 134 support documents?
From what I understand he just paged though everything. He didn't look at much.

Alright, here is what I would do if I were president. I would first build a string of nuclear plants near large bodies of water. I would dedicate those plants to the production of hydrogen. I would at the same time build infrastructure to deliver liquid hydrogen to every home, business and gas station. I would also put money into the development of fuel cell technology for homes and cars. Every home would have it's own fuel cell to power its needs. This could eleminate our use of oil almost completely. There would be no need for oil or coal fired power plants, no need for new oil drilling and no need for gasoline. At the same time I would provide research money for nuclear fusion. That is an renuable energy that we would never run out of. When fusion becomes a reality then the fission plants would be replaced and they would start producing hydrogen.
Now there is a government project that I can get behind. One that I would be willing to raise my taxes over. It would also have the added benefit of getting us out of the mid-east and it would also take the money out of the hands of the countries that we are bankrolling to train the terrorists. It would also reduce our CO2 output and save the enviroment. There, I just outlined a way to save the world. Where is my Nobel Prize?
Your losing energy by converting to hydrogen. Most things can use electricity directly. You only need hydrogen if you need the power to be stored and portable. Your best off providing water and electricity directly to fueling stations.
But anyway, you would be lucky to get 20-25 years if you switch everything to nuclear and have cars running off hyrdogen generated by nuclear power plants. Right now cars don't impact the power grid, but if you made them all hydrogen, they would.
There is enough uranium to last 100 years. Your just wrong about the amount we can get. The ocean is full of uranium btw. All we need to do is filter it out. I am not sure where you are getting your information but it's just wrong.
ETA.
Here Dan, read and learn.

Start filtering then Gary. The idea of mining the oceans is not a new one. If you've noticed, no one is currently doing that, and I am sure you can figure out why.

Coal is more polluting than oil - by quite a significant margin.
The technology for clean burning coal power plants is available. We just haven't implemented it. Mainly because of costs involved seeing it is a newer technology.

Thanks everyone. Finally done with this chapter. Couldn't be happier. By the way, the interviewer didn't really look at our evidence (we had a lot), and he didn't ask her for the "single certificate" as I believe some others have been asked for. I was worried about that. She picks up her visa on the 8th.

Just letting everyone know my fiancee passed her interview today at the Bangkok Embassy.
I'm so proud of her. I know she was very nervous prior to her interview.
Questions asked:
1) How, where and when did you meet your fiance?
2) Since we met first online, they asked her to spell the website. Not sure why that was.
3) How do you communicate with your fiance?
4) How long did your fiance stay when he visited you?
5) Where did you visit when your fiance was in Thailand (landmarks etc)?
6) Did your fiance ask you to marry him?

And please explain to me how dog owners are somehow immune to the incessant barking of their own dogs? It drives me crazy. Had two neighbors like that whom I had to continue to call the authorities about.

Don't care how old this kid is or that he is "emotionally disturbed." Time for castration via a rusty knife followed by cleaning the wound with salt and iodine.

I was told on here 2 hours minimum, 3 hours to be comfortable.

1) Environmental Engineer for a mining company
2) I love most of it. Every day it's something new. With the mining industry booming though, we can't hire enough people in the environmental field, so we are stretched thin.
3) Definitely. It's pretty stable. With countries like China and India needing huge amounts of metals for their growth, mining will be important for decades.
4) Yes

Around how much should I budget for the cost of the doctor check in Bangkok? (Assuming they don't try and charge her 12,000 baht for a non-required vaccination)
We paid 8,400 baht...............extortionist!!
My girl called the hospital and they told her to bring about 8,000 baht.. In case she needed shots.
My fiancee got all her shots except Hep B, which she already got this past year and it wasn't 8,000 THB (shots and drs appt). Unless that Hep B (three shots) is expensive.

I think 6,000 THB for drs visit and shots is about right.

Hey guys, I emailed the embassy in Bangkok and they replied on March 16th saying that Packet 3 was sent to my Fiancee on the 11th of March. She still has not recieved it in the mail yet 10 days later. Any experiences of anyone else taking this long... don't know how slow the Thai mail system is or if they use a Fed Ex type of service or anything. Is there anything she will get in the mail that I can't just print and mail to her myself? I plan to fill it all out for her and mail it to her anyway as far as the forms go for what needs to be sent in, the rest I will bring over when I come to Thailand for her interview. Also does she have to do the medical and police certificates before she sends Packet 3 back or can she do it after? Any help is appreciated. We wanna get this sent in asap so we can get our interview date asap... not that any of you are in the same boat! lol
Thanks,
Steve
You are better off going to the embassy website and downloading P3 there. It took weeks for my fiancee to actually receive hers in the mail.

I expect the Fed to eventually cut the interest rate down to 1% or even less.
Bad news for your "high-interest" savings account
Bad news for inflationary pressures. I was watching a program on yahoo finance where one individual was predicting 20% inflation in another 2 years.

Not bad...a $1,500 loan in Arizona actually comes out to $1000. That is because there is a $500 loan fee
The APR comes in at a super low 141.42%!!! I feel sorry for people that are in such dire straights they need to go this route for cash.

Never had any problems setting up a wireless network with XP. Vista took me forever, and then it wouldn't work right. I had to get a tech to get it to finally work correctly.
Office 2007 is another story in failure. That suite is a complete joke.
