An I-864 from a new joint sponsor should be brought to the interview unless they obtain sufficient income before the interview (their current income would now be $0, unless the had income from other sources).

That said, be aware that IR-5 (parent of a USC) visas are currently banned by an Executive Order.

Thanks for the info. Do you think I should upload it in CEAC?

  2. (Im asking for a Friend)

My friend petitioned her mom and got approved. She uploaded all the documents including her and her household member's paystubs, tax, etc last February and got accepted. She request for expedite, and got approved. Now her mom is on the line for Visa Interview in the embassy. The problem is, the household member she listed lost her job last March due to the pandemic. Does she need to get a new sponsor?

Anyone has a similar situation? Thank you so much.

Is it true that MNL embassy no longer allow expedited Spousal Visa applicants to schedule our own interview and that they schedule both interview and medical appt?

Im not sure if they no longer allowed to schedule our own but I tried to schedule my own appointment but embassy has their own date so I just followed what they gave.

  4. We're done uploading all the documents on CEAC and got documentarily qualified and our case was expedited so my husband's interview date is on the 23rd of December. Then, when I checked the CEAC, It says there that in AOS documents, I am incomplete, and when I checked it, W2 Forms and Tax Return STatement is missing.

My question is, the W2 forms that they're asking is the W2 forms that employers are giving out to the employees, right?

    Thank you...

Thanks Jen! Are there any things I should keep in mind during the process? Could you elaborate the steps for me?

Also, What kind of evidence do I need to prove that my marriage is bonafide?

Yeah, @Quarknase is right. Theres a lot of guide here. If you guys have a joint bank account thats better too. What I use is The receipts of remittances, photos together, and also a land title together.

Woo hoo we got our interview date today! It’s dec 9th which is only a couple weeks away! Time to get her registered at slec and to find some health care insurance  just in case the proclamation goes into effect.

Search on fb for cr1/Ir1 k1 visa group.  Once you find it send a message to join. Lots of good info there.

Anyone have any any leads on aca health insurance that qualifies for the proclamation? Love to hear some ideas.

wow Congratulation. This long journey is about to end for you guys. I hope we get ours soon too 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

We are also waiting for the NVC interview letter as we were DQ’d on November 13th. Typically I hear it can be a few weeks to a month after but let’s hope it arrives sooner. On the fb group there are people from early nov still waiting for their letter. So time to gather slec docs and get ready for medical.

Oh cool theres a FB group. May I join the group so I can ask for some advices about the case? Thanks

NVC will send you an email/letter with your interview date.   And like said earlier everything else is online, DO complete the 5 steps as listed on the embassy website, DO have all the required documents as listed in the 5th step and bring them to the interview.

Yes Thank you. Do you have any idea how long is the wait time to get the IL from DQ?
