Congrats!!!! Got mine on Feb 9th!!
Do you, or anyone  know if medical can be scheduled online or we have to give them a call at the Montreal clinic?

Congrats! You have to call the Telus clinic to schedule an appointment. Call them early on Monday, I was on hold for at least 30 min when I scheduled my appointment in December.

It should've been her current Canadian address too since she's living in Canada and no longer in US. Perhaps you're right. This might be just passport-delivery portal and has nothing additional to do with our case after passport is delivered.

Oh wait, now that I wrote that and thinking about it, I think we did write this address when filling-out the delivery information. The instruction had said that US driver license could be used but must match the address exactly. Since she doesn't have an actual ID in Canada (only asylum claimant documents), we had given that address as per her valid ID.

    No need to panic :)

Yes exactly, I just saw that you need to use the address that is showing on your ID :) Congratulations!

I just checked status update on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-CA/iv and saw this:

    image.png.b9b2495ab83adc7770487ec01c789357.png

Document delivery location is correct, BUT the residence location is NOT correct. That's one of the address from her address history that she stayed at (so not sure how that was marked as the address for Residence Location), BUT will not be staying there. In fact, she'll be staying in Missouri instead of California.

We don't want any of her documents to go to the wrong address. Is that something to be worried about? Should I send an email to the consulate?

I have used my Canadian address for the Residence. So I guess it is not where the SSN and GC will be sent .

Thanks, definitely check back today (I'm sure youve been doing that anyways and no need to tell you..)

I have been obsessing over how long it takes, and although I am sure you are super worried and the majority of cases are within a day, I have read about a few that took between 1-3 weeks. And they were issued after that, no problem. So stay optimistic. It is frustrating though, I know your interview was delayed too. I wish they were more systematic about it.

Thanks for your kind words 😊

  5. Hello everyone!
it looks like there is no more specific day that the consulate ships passports and emails tracking numbers. Is it done everyday now? I see that some of us received their passports earlier this week (Congrats to all of you :)) I thought it was only sent on Thursdays… I am waiting anxiously while refreshing my ceac status and email inbox…😅(still Issued AP)

    Hi 👋

    Nothing to share 😆

Well I do have something to share!!! Dr Lyndon in Toronto gave me a sealed envelope in case my medical didn’t arrive on time, and it didn’t. He said Public Health its focusing on covid tests and leaving lifelabs bloodwork until last.
I just arrived to Montreal, boy it’s chilly!! I read  on priceline that the Best Western close to the Consulate was being used as an homeless shelter and someone woke up with bedbugs bites. Considering that, I booked the holiday inn but jeeez 12 minutes walking from the train station seemed like a piece of cake but it felt like an eternity at -29C  even with a parka 😂

My appointment its tomorrow. I must say @ifh just made me nervous! I have an i-864 from April 2021, and my husband changed jobs just in October😅. Nothing I can do,  he is at work on rig, no way I can update it now.

His income hasnt changed… Holiday inn doesnt have a business center and I wont be emailing this kind of paperwork to print it even if I had it in time.  I have his new job contract, and proof of  insurance, 2020 tax trascript plus 3 other years, I seriously doubt it will come up unless I bring it up.
I could print some paystubs to be on the safe side but again, I don’t want to send it to the hotel desk.  Whats done its done I guess…

I was more worried about the proof of domicile, since he stays with me in Ontario and works in the US. Thats why I brought the car insurance, health insurance bill and I guess I could upload some paystubs to Ceac but then again I think that would open a pandora box of questions regarding his job.

    Do I make any sense?

    Anyway,  wish me luck 🍀

Don’t worry about the I-864EZ, I uploaded a new one because the last one dated from Feb 2020. I think you should be fine with his job contract. The CO just asked for a proof of employment for the new job. Good luck!!

    @dmitch, @ifh, @Ilovecancun29, @DMV have any news to share?

    Hello!

Sorry for not sharing my experience earlier. To be honest I was waiting to receive my passport with the visa first.
My interview was on Friday morning, it went smoothly and the CO told me that he intends to approve my visa. (I will believe it once I will see the visa)
The whole process was similar to everyone else. I was there early which is useless, the security guard came out and reorganize the line by interview time so the people that had their interviews scheduled  before mine were moved ahead of me.
Once I got in, I went through the security check and was directed to go the 2nd floor and waited for my number to be called. After 5 min I was called to give my documents. The CO asked for my passport, one photo ID, marriage certificate, birth certificates (mine and my husband’s!!). I did upload my husband’s BC at the NVC level, I guess that is why they asked for the original. I also provided my police certificates (I lived in 4 different countries) and my new I-864EZ + husband’s 2020 W2 and 2020 tax return that I had uploaded a couple of weeks ago. My husband changed job in 2021 so I also provided a letter of employment + last 3 months pay stubs.
This process took 15 min at least, the CO was really nice and friendly while checking my documents.
Then sat for 30 min before being called for the interview. I was really worried about AP because I’m a Canadian PR + I’m from the Mena region + I travelled a lot.
But the CO that conducted the interview was really nice, it really felt like a friendly conversation. He started by asking how I met my husband, then questions related to my husband’s job and my job, countries i lived in and visited, where I intend to live…I was a F1 student , so he also asked about my time as a student in the US.
Then, he told me that I did well and that he intends to approve my visa. He said it would take 2 to 3 weeks to have my passport back.
My status is still Issued AP, I will keep you posted.

Congratulations to everyone who received ILs today!

Great to see Montreal clearing the backlog. I was hoping they would reach October, but September is not bad...

Very happy and relieved for @canuckchic and @ifh.... I hope you are swiftly approved so you can reunite with your family.

    Thank you very much.
    Congratulations on being approved!

Happy   that everything went smoothly on your end :)  I wish you the best for the next steps!

Thank you again - sorry for all the back and forth. Appreciate your quick repsonses. We've emailed the montreal one multiple times and have never received a response. We will try the NVC - did you just use the email that they give us during the process?

No worries, whatever I can do to help. Write to the NVC using this link https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/ask-nvc.html

Fill out all the information and write your request in the message box. It’s the only way to communicate with NVC via email.

Did you get any info from the NVC? They were no help to us.
what is the ACS email? Thank you!

NVC didn’t help at all. They told me that I was in line to have my interview scheduled and that all I can do is wait… I did send a message to NVC as well as I have been advised by the consulate but I don’t think it will help more than the phone call I had this morning..

The ACS email is montreal-acs@state.gov .

I just checked the email that my interview letter came from and it is from national_visa_center@state.gov
    So I guess the NVC

Also, if you don't mind me asking, did you email the consulate today and they got back to you today as well?

Thank you for your response. To my big surprise yes I emailed them today at 10:06 am and they responded at 12:35 pm. Not helpful at all but still a response I guess..

  12. The consulate responded to my email and they asked me to reach out the NVC to get the status of my case… I’m so confused, I spoke to the NVC this morning and they told me that all was good on their end and that my case was in line to be scheduled for an interview and that basically it is in the consulate hands.
Who schedules the interview NVC or the consulate ???
