My husband picked up visa the day before everything got shut down and has to leave before aug 14th. Were thankful but nervous at the same time. Apart from waiting until travel restrictions are lifted, were also worried about the how the economy has been affected as hes  leaving behind elderly parents who really need him under these circumstances. Hes the only one working in his household with a job that he can do from home

 it says doesnt apply to existing visas would that mean if my husband got his visa already in march just didnt book a flight because of the covid 19 issue, are we still ok. We even paid the immigrant fee already

They will always assess whether or not someone is likely to be a public charge (form or not) and some consulates are already asking for the form whether you were DQ before Feb 24 or not. They do not always ask for the form though (they’re never required to look at anything you bring) and it is still in the best practice of everyone to fill it out in the case it is asked for at the interview, as it’s better to have and not need than need and not have. Thats correct that its better to have and not need than to not have it. Thats why i did it in the first place. It was incorrect that they cant proceed with the interview without that form as you dont know that for sure.

This is incorrect. My husband went for his interview and they didnt even bother looking at the public charge form

Question:

my cousin and his wife are currently waiting for documents to be reviewed after 2nd submission. Does the public charge form apply to them since they havnt received DQ and its past feb 24th, Its a IR/CR1 case

I have question we received an email with our interview date but no message on the online portal. The medical facility is requiring the letter with interview apt, the email that we recd has both invoice id and case number on there, i thought those were private and cant be given to the medical examiners office

Our last submission was Dec 17th. Hopefully, we'll hear something soon as well. Seems like they're making progress on cases for Islamabad.

Not really 2nd submission, i had submitted most of my documents ok the 23rd on nov but i added another extra document on dec6th just In case they needed it
