Okay the alien number is your registration number.
You will need to add an A and likely also a zero to the beginning so that it is A123456789
DOS# is your NVC number.
Thank you for your response. That's what my guess was. But I was not sure. How could I read their mind if they're not being specific. Is that what you've used to pay your fee and successfully done with this fee?

I need help finding out Alien #, is it the same # listed on your visa as "Registration Number" with 8 digits #?
DOS case ID: Is it the same as your IV case #, starting the 3 letters following by 10 digits #?
I need to make sure this before I go in and pay for new uscis fee $165.
Thanks for your help!

Come on guys, need help here...No one departing Vietnam lately?

Hi all
After you have passed the interview for IR5 , they'd stamped the IV visa in your passport. I can't find the alien # on the visa page. Do the embassy send you a different envelope with your Alien # and DOS # in order to pay for this new fee online at uscis.gov? Anyone has gone thru this please help me asap. Thank you all...

How do I pay this fee and how do I find out my A# and DOS id #??? Passed iv interview already and entering the US on Sept 17.

You don't get a bill you need to look at your passport with the visa it should have your number there.
Customers will soon pay the $165 USCIS Immigrant Fee using USCIS ELIS after they receive their immigrant visa package from the Department of State and before they depart for the United States. USCIS ELIS is easy to use and provides direct access to case status updates. New immigrants will also use USCIS ELIS to file future applications and petitions when they become available in the system.
Visa does not show your Alien #. How do I find out Alien# in order to pay for this fee?

Implementation of New USCIS Immigrant Fee Feb. 1
New fee allows USCIS to recover the costs of processing immigrant visas after individuals receive their visa packages from the Department of State abroad
WASHINGTON—On Feb. 1, 2013, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will begin collecting a new USCIS Immigrant Fee of $165 from foreign nationals seeking permanent residence in the United States. This new fee was established in USCIS’s final rule adjusting fees for immigration applications and petitions announced on Sept. 24, 2010.
USCIS has worked closely with the Department of State (DOS) to implement the new fee which allows USCIS to recover the costs of processing immigrant visas in the United States after immigrant visa holders receive their visa packages from DOS. This includes staff time to handle, file and maintain the immigrant visa package, and the cost of producing and delivering the permanent resident card. The implementation of this new fee is further detailed in a Federal Register notice scheduled for publication tomorrow.
In order to simplify and centralize the payment process, applicants will pay online through the USCIS website after they receive their visa package from DOS and before they depart for the United States. DOS will provide applicants with specific information on how to submit payment when they attend their consular interview. The new fee is in addition to fees charged by DOS associated with an individual’s immigrant visa application.
USCIS processes approximately 36,000 immigrant visa packages each month. Prospective adoptive parents whose child will enter the United States under the Orphan or Hague processes are exempt from the new fee.

If the certified copies came from vital records county, then you have the right copies. I kept my original marriage certificate/license that we got the very first time after we got married.. The only marriage certificates I sent off for my immmigration paper works, I got certified copies from vital records of my county
Thank you. I think it's the same paper-certified copy from the county office. I'll plan to send in that if RFE, will send orginial marriage certificate.
-
A certified copy is a copy from the original issuer. So if that's what you did, that's what you have
You're saying I will be OK or not?
-
Haha, I can't be an expert ,just share about my case CR1
I submitted the Extract of Marriage Certificate. To make sure, you should call to NVC. My husband called to NVC before mailing.
What is Extract? You meant certified copy?
-
Anyone??? let-it-be, my expert, where are you??
-
Hi all:
May I send in to NVC certified copy of Marriage Certificate of me (Petitioner)? I am not comfortable sending in original Marriage Certificate. Is it a black and white paper with all information of you and your spouse you get it from your county office with the Deputy Clerk signature on it and sealed stamp on it? I paid $1.50 fee for it. Is this the right one? I just wanna make sure before I send to NVC. Thanks!
