I just called NVC, my petition was received on Oct 15 and was sent to embassy today Oct 17. I was so happy I forgot to ask for case #. But she said I will get a notification letter soon. I was approved on Sept 7.

Is the processing time through NVC only long for petitions from CSC, or is it long for VSC also?

Looks like only CSC is very long. Other centers are fast within a few days or a week! CSC

Has anyone called NVC lately to ask for their petitions' status? I heard different answers: 4 weeks and 90 days waiting? Which one is true?

I was approved on Sept 7 re: I-129F, haven't heard from NVC. I'm afraid to call them cause I heard they're not nice! I guess I just wait a little bit more

He/she is so clueless and gave you wrong info. That's just sad and pathetic. I got approved on Sept 7 and still waiting to hear from NVC. I was reading on other topic and found one case which took about 5 weeks from approval date to hear from NVC. So I'm expecting something soon from them, I hope!

90 days is too long wait. At first she told me to allow 2-4 weeks to receive petitions; and now is 90 days? What are the reasons for this long delay? Anyone knows? Please help!

I was approved on same day as yours from CSC. I called today to check status on the phone, and system has no record of my file yet. I will let you know when I find out something, and you do the same for me cause we were approved on the same date. I'm hoping to get a letter from NVC by this wkend

My I-129F petition has been approved by USICS and forwarded to NVC. What has to happen between now and my fiance's medical exam and interview with U S Embassy/ Consulate?

Your case was from CSC and they're very slow in sending approved pettion to NVC. So it's not forwarded to NVC yet as says it did in the approved letter from uscis. Wait at least a month to hear from nvc. My approved date was Sept 7, and still haven't heard from NVC. It might take longer than a month; who knows what are they doing! Anyway, Congrats that you got approved!

The approved petition is only valid for 4 months, so if the interview is not done by the 4 months period, are they going to renew it autimatically? A month is already gone by and case is not at NVC yet; I still have 3 months, but looks like time is running soon b4 the interview.

I checked case # with NVC in NH, and system said no case found yet. Why is CSC very slow in sending approved fiance petitions to NVC? Does anyone else have same issue?

I just called NVC today Sept 26. They haven't received my file yet. They said it could take from 2-4 weeks to receive it. They said I could call CSC to ask if they have sent. In the approval notice letter from uscis states: If you have not heard from nvc in 4 weeks from date u got approval notice, then call NVC. Can you even call in a few days? I'm confused. And what is longest wait for anyone to get a letter from NVC?

Why One does not speak English has to do with anything for being denied visa? That's so stupid excuse. Plus there are 2 people there: one translator and one CO, the translator can translate for your fiancee' and also the CO can understand your fiancee' native language also.

And how does that work for every day life? The need to communicate in America?????

I'm talking about not speaking English at the interview in their native country. I'm not talking about everyday life! Once he/she comes to America, they can begin learning English. Thank you!

Call CSC and get a status of the RFE.

I sent in RFE on August 3rd,07. It's been over 2 weeks and I checked my case status online and nothing has been updated. They don't ever acknowledge that they have recieved my RFE. It was sent to CSC. Anyone is having same issues??? It's really delaying my case and is no fun I sure sent to the correct PO Box address. What should I do? Call them to ask about it-or or I wait, wait, wait....I am really mad cause I sent in August 2, and now is August 20.

How long to get a RFE letter ? I have been waiting for more than a month since we got a email but nothing in our mail box yet.

My husband called asking for re-sent it 15 days ago !!

One week to get the RFE in the mail, and about 17 days from the day u mail it in for them to update on the web that they receive your reply. You should call them and ask what info they're requesting in the RFE.

Hi there,

You need to register in the US CIS website, create a log in and password once you do that, you need to enter your receipt number to add to your profile. You can then check the status daily and you can see the date it was last updated ("Touched").
