  1. As with most time frames it varies. All I can do is strongly advise to start calling a week to two weeks after NVC has received your case. You can call as much as you want. They will not tell you to stop calling, it is your right. They are trained to give an estimated time frame, it is in their script. Use your own judgement. My case was received by NVC three days after email notification. No case number yet, but I call every two days now.

  2. I re point the mistake because in life you always educate yourself on something before acting on it. This is why I made the statement in which I made. It is like saying would you buy a car when you dont have a license to drive and not sure you are going to get it. This is a process that you have got to study prior to going forward with it. If you dont you will make mistakes that will cost you in the end. When it comes to a wedding they will not give refunds. If you cancel you will mearly be at a lost. With this process you cannot jump the gun. There are enough timelines posted on here just to get an idea of reality. Look at how long some cases may take. Regardless of what USCIS or NVC says it comes down to the interview and them saying approved! If she had taken the time to read some of these posts she would have realized it. All she can do is speak with the vendors and explain the situation and try to ask for another date much further out hoping that her fiance will be here by then.

  3. I feel your pain. I am angry alot and I tell my husband it is not because of him, but because we have to be apart. I spent many nights crying wanting to give up but my husband will not let me. Alot of the things you list I as I am sure alot are experiencing. I sleep with my bible every night. I read a particular reading from psalms for some inner strength. I wish I could say it is a breez but I would be lying. Just continue to speak with people out here. Some have some really spiritual words of kindness, encouragement and hope to help you through. I wish you well and plenty of patients. Do not let this process wear you down!

  4. Received NOA2 email notification on 5/4/12. Called back again today to see if Case number yet. No Case number but it was actually7 received by NVC on 5/7/12 that following Monday not on 5/9/12 as originally thought. Even better, but now it's the case number I am waiting for and who knows how long that may take. Just going to keep calling every couple of days though!

  5. Listen do not go by the timeline. My I130 got approved just under 5 months. At one time during my wait it had changed to like June 2011. It will continue to fluctuate because they some how review and realize that they may have a couple of cases that still need to be processed from that time frame, and then next thing you know it will say 5 months again. You need to just at least wait out the five months before you start to flip. If the timeline did not exist we all would feel better. Please just stick to the 5 months. Once it hits that then you call and question.

Also, I never had a touch and then my case was approved. Trust me dont feed into a lot of this stuff.
