    Hey guys,

I submitted AOS on March 10th 2022 from K1 visa. Received EAD on December 22nd 2022. I currently still have a pending AP and form I485. My status changed today to case is being actively reviewed by USCIS. So i sign into my account to see there is a notice requesting my marriage certificate which i already sent with my original application and a request to get a medical

examination done. I did do a medical exam in my home country before coming to the US with a K1.

what’s more confusing now is i see on my USCIS account that my status updated 3 times today. First said request for RFE was cancelled, then request for RFE was sent and the current says case is being actively reviewed and nothing is outstanding. The notice is still there though and i have already booked the medical exam. Has anyone experienced such updates? how did you handle it? Hi all! I got an RFE notice today regarding a copy of our marriage certificate, proof of ongoing relationship, and a medical form. Now my partner did the K1 medical, which was done I believe in October of 2021 and I just want to make sure we don’t have to pay for another one. This is what the notice said:

Submit a completed Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record. A USCIS civil surgeon must complete and sign the form, and you must also sign the form. If the civil surgeon refers you to a specialist, the specialist must include his or her medical exam results and complete the proper sections of the Form I-693 before the civil surgeon may sign the form. Once everyone has signed, the civil surgeon will place the completed Form I-693 in a sealed envelope and give it to you. You must submit the sealed envelope containing the original Form I-693 that the civil surgeon signed and the medical exam results; we will NOT accept photocopied Form I-693 and medical exam results.
Civil surgeons must use the current Edition of Form I-693. You can find the current edition of Form I-693 on USCIS’s website at www.uscis.gov. In addition, the civil surgeon must ensure that all parts of Form I-693 were properly completed.
Please Note: All Forms I-693 signed by civil surgeons on or after October 5, 2022 must use the 07/19/2022 edition of Form I-693. USCIS will not accept the 09/13/2021 version (or any previous editions) if the civil surgeon signed the Form I-693 after October 4, 2022. Therefore, the civil surgeon administering your immigration medical examination must complete and sign the 07/19/2022 edition of the Form I-693.
Reminder: Effective October 1, 2021, applicants subject to the immigration medical examination must complete the COVID-19 vaccine series before the civil surgeon can complete an immigration medical examination and sign Form I-693. This applies to Form I-693 signed by civil surgeon on or after October 1, 2021.

    any thoughts?

Go ahead and do the medicals. I got the same RFE as a K1, i guess its no longer valid.

That’s weird! But I’d wait to see what comes in the mail from them in the next week and hopefully they don’t ask for the medical exam to be done again! If it’s the marriage cert you should be able to just upload that online but I’d recommend mailing a letter stating that you completed a medical exam in your home country. That’s what I did and they cancelled it 3 weeks later and then 2 weeks later my green card was approved and came in the mail today. I submitted AOS march 10th too!

Thanks for the advice! Will do so

    congrats on the approval.

    Hello VJ fam!

I need so help to explain this. Just got an email see the attach.

But when I login into my portal with US travel they indicated that my passport is ready for pickup does this mean that is with DHL now?

Has anyone received his/her visa at home address or this is just normal way of them telling you to come pick it up?

I just called but didn't answer.

Yes they won't accept the passport because nothing checked in the form attach in email to submit your passport.

This is what happen prior the very day I did my interview which causes the delay of why I'm still waiting for my visa now. The IO told me to submit the requested documents along with passport after my interview he gave me 221g form checked the documents that I'm to bring but forget to check the box that says submit your passport (only if requested). When I got to the DHL and I gave them the 221g form that I was given with the approriate documents, they took everything from me except my passport. Why? because the box wasn't checked.

So this last time when I went to pick up my passport for the redoing of my medical exam the IO almost did same thing. He told me to take my passport and do the exam then after the exam I should go to DHL and submit meanwhile the email sent to me didn't ask me to submit passport cos the passport was already there with them so I had to tell the IO that I'll need him to give me something to show to the DHL staff so they can accept my passport for submission and quickly he said 'oh right' then he gave me 221g form but this time he wrote my full name on top and my case number and checked the box that says I should drop my passport and then sign on it.

After getting all my documents together I went to DHL office and submit everything including the passport. Hoping to hear from them soon🙏🙏🙏

Hi, have you received your passport back? How long did the visa take to be issued after you submitted it.

  7. Pls does anyone know what it means for your ceac status to change to refused. Mine just changed today to refused. And it says pls follow any instructions provided by the consular officer. If you were informed by the Co that your case was refused for admin processing you will receive adjudication once such processing is complete.........I didn’t get any email, My medical has also expired. And my interview was In March

has this happened to anyone recently?

    Hi fam,

please I need your advice/opinion/ Experience on this issue.

I was pregnant when my husband started filling process, hubby was still LRP then, and when I gave birth, case was still with USCIS and he called to notify them and they told us he doesn’t need to fill another form I-130 for our baby, that when we get to NVC stage we should include her name, And we relaxed. In btw this period, hubby became citizen. Fast  forward to when we got to NVC stage, we included her name when fill out ds-260 as said, and she was placed under review, but they approved mine and asked me to pay for further processing. The day we got dq’ed was the day they cancelled her application that there is no derivative visa for her, we should go and start her own case afresh, hubby had to call them back on what we should do, cos that time we were only waiting for interview date, they told us that she would be the principal applicant beneficiary at the time of interview. Truly, when they sent interview appointment letter, she was added as beneficiaries to attend the interview, but due to pandemic we were not able to attend the interview. Now my question is this, do you guys think she will be granted visa, hope consular won’t put me in Ap cos of this and ask me to start her own afresh, seriously it baffles me a lot.
    Thank you.

note: we were asked  to provide more evidence before our case was approved with USCIS, so hubby had to provide his naturalization certificate, our baby’s birthday certificate, pictures and all that. Not too long our case got approved and upgraded to CR1

If your husband is now a citizen, shouldn’t you be applying for a CRBA for your child? Check if your husband qualifies to pass on his citizenship.
