Hi everyone. We made it in the USA last night! We spent 15 days in Mexico and took a flight yesterday on American Airline, 1:30 pm flight to Miami, Florida. Airport staff was nice. We had to fill out a health form. I filled it out online after fumbling through getting WiFi at the desk and getting the app to work. My fiancee and her son filled out a paper version and they finished before me.

The flight went smooth. We arrived in Miami at about 5:45 pm Miami time. Since I had my American passport I went to the machine for entry processing, but not sure if I did it right because my receipt was X-ed out. My fiancee, her son and I went to a CBP counter and handed our passports. Mine was returned. My fiancee's and her sons were kept and we were escorted to a room where we sat while someone was handling their paperwork. After about some 15 minutes an officer called out my fiance's name and her son. He asked when is she getting married. Asked if the guy sitting there (me) is her fiance. He then asked where did she come from. She replied Mexico and he asked how long she was there. She said replied 15 days. He said congratulations and handed her the passports and told us which exit to through. We arrived at the baggage claim and our luggage was already pulled out and sitting on the floor. We got the rental car and drove 5 hours to Gainesville.

I want to thank everyone before us for the bravery they demonstrated in going through a similar journey through Mexico. I was sick to my stomach in fear and anxiety before we took our respective airlines to meet in Mexico City. When we arrived all my fears were removed. We enjoyed our stay in Mexico City. In the evening we would go out on a long walk in Polanco along a walking path that stretched for many streets under trees and along plants and benches. People were very nice and helpful. I felt more protected from coronavirus there than I do here in the USA. In Mexico City you enter a store and get your hands squirted with sanitizer, store employees wear a masks and in the grocery they take your temperature. My fiancee went to shop for wedding shoes on Thursday and in the shoes stores you enter a basin and soak your feet in them before you enter the store. She did find her wedding shoes! A very beautiful and comfortable pair made in Spain. Overall, the experience was great.

Yes that is absolutely true, he doesn’t know your situation and will not understand the rules. The first day comes with anxiousness and doubt but stay positive. Things have worked out well for many others on this thread and I’m sure all will be well for you guys too!

Try not to spend too much time stresssing and worrying over situations we have literally zero control over. The one thing we can control is taking action to try and enter the US. After that, as much as possible, we have to just try and let the two weeks happen!

I know it’s easier said than done, but it will be a long 15 days otherwise!

Hi everybody, I made it to US yesterday  🙏
I was going to post it yesterday but I was too tired, sorry!

I flew from Mexico City to Salt Lake City and the US CBP process was very very chilled, it lasted like 5 minutes.
I handled my passport, a health check form and my sealed envelope to the Officer. He opened the envelope, took my digitals and photo, stamped my passport, explained again that we had to get married within 90 days and apply for adjustment of status, congratulated us and we were ready to go! He was very nice and did not ask me anything, not even for how long I was in Mexico.

When I decided to fly to Mexico 3.5 weeks ago I was so worried that all would go wrong, that I would not make to Mexico City or that, when there, a new ban would come about. But then I had to put myself together and believe that the Universe was working for my best! I kept positive thoughts as much as I could and put my future in the Universe's hands!

I was surprised by how smooth things worked for me!

I did not have any problems with the airline I flew from Paris to Mexico City, I had no issues at Mexican CBP (I was not asked anything, not even why I was going to Mexico), I got an apartment with a swimming pool which was opened so I enjoyed 2 amazing weeks of sunshine, I got to know few guys who showed me around the city and became really good friends and, finally, I made to US without any problem.

So guys, keep positive thoughts and believe that all will work well, because it will. ❤️

I want to thank you all for your inspiring stories which gave me the confidence to make decisions and go through this process.
Best of luck to you all!

P.S. to those who are afraid of flying to Mexico because of the rising cases of covid, I have to say, I felt much safer in Mexico than in US lol
In Mexico everyone was wearing masks and temperature was being checked in every single store, very opposite of what I am seeing here in SLC. The number of cases in US comparing to Mexico speaks for itself...scary!
Also, comments of travel bans without any solid verifiable sources scares people without any need, so lets keep negativity outside the forum! 😉

    I. Am. Here.

Thank God. But it wasn't as I expected. I got the biggest spook of my life. Right before landing the flight attendant told me to wait at the door so I could be the first one to leave. When the hatch opened 4 guys from CBP were ready to escort me. The head of the squad asked me how long I've been in Mexico for. I showed him the stamp in my passport and that's all he needed to know. We then joked about how scared I was and talked for a little bit; very nice people. I just had to go through second immigration just to confirm my arrival. This is Orlando airport btw.

BUT what counts the most is that I'm here. Thank you all for your inspiring messages and stories and I wish the rest of y'all good luck. So; if the CBP squad is waiting for you just know it'll be fine.

I’ve been here since the 11th! Food drink transportation is very cheap! You can have a decent meal with like 10 euros or even less. Supermarket is cheap too. People are very nice and friendly, most people speak enough english to communicate. You can order food with wolt application (menus in English). Cargo is a taxi application to use. You can also ask the hotel restaurants etc to call you a taxi. The pink company is the cheapest one (here taxis are 4 private companies and have differences in prices). It is advised not to take taxis from the street or the airport cause they charge way too much for tourists.
people are wearing masks and there is antiseptic hell everywhere.
There are a lot of exchange desks in the city with better rates than the airport so keep that in mind too.
The castle is very nice to visit.
Zdravo is hello and hvala is thank you!
    good luck to your fiancé!

I'm in! I had the passport check in Dallas, got asked a bunch of questions, as I was entering with the ESTA, but as I was with my fiancée it was kinda easy. I got asked my reason for traveling, how long I am gonna stay, where did I came from and how long I stayed in Mexico, what do I do for a living and where, and then a bunch of small questions related to that. After that we were free to go and I was able to travel to St. Louis withot problems and here I am! So I'm glad to say that it is safe to enter with the ESTA to visit during this times as long as you stay away the 14 days from the banned countries.

I wish everyone else trying this the best of luck, I'm rooting for all of you!

I couldn't check-in online for my flight to the US so I had to go to the airport a couple hours sooner than planned. Check-in and security went smoothly.

Before security, you need to scan a QR code and fill in a health form online, so be sure to have your phone's data/Wifi ready. 4 hours away from flying, 8 hours away from finding out if I can enter the US. If you can, please pray!

I can’t speak to POE directly or from experience but If they have jobs, or other things that require them to return home, they should bring a printout of any letters or documents that prove their plans or needs to return home in case questions are asked.

Keep in mind many airlines are offering flexible cancelation/rebooking options where you can cancel a flight and have the cost of it count towards another flight until the end of the year. Look at the airline’s COVID return/cancelation policy updates for details.

I made it across last Friday.
No issues at all - grumpy staff at Miami - took about 20 mins in total.
    London-Amsterdam-Mexico City-Miami-Nashville.

We had a great WhatsApp suport group.

I was in an Air BnB for 15 days and never left it - bar a shopping trip for food.

I booked a flight for my fiancé from Manchester to Belgrade, Serbia for June 19 and he will be there until July 4. From there a direct flight from Serbia to New York and then from New York to Detroit. I’m going to be white knuckling this until he’s finally here. I hope this works.

Oh perfect I didn’t realise! Have a good trip and good luck! FYI don’t use a taxi from the airport or generally from the street as they charge way more than they should. They have a local app if you want that’s called cargo. Also you can ask your hotel to come pick you up if they have that service. I did that. If you want to exchange money they have better exchange rate if you use the places in the city instead of airport. They have them everywhere. They also accept euros a lot of times but it’s better to have the dinar.
If You want to order out they have Wolt and the menus are all translated in English too.
most people speak enough English to communicate on super market restaurants etc and they are very friendly.
people are wearing masks a lot and they have antiseptic gels everywhere but life is normal and everything is open.
    That’s all I’ve gathered these 4 days I’ve been here 😊

So I asked my hotel and they said all hotels already report that to the police once you arrive. Actually I think this is something they do in most countries.
They gave me a copy of the report in case I need it but they said normally I wouldn’t need it.
so make sure to check with your hotel just to be safe.

Hi! I’ve been in Belgrade since the 11th and will be flying to New York the 27th. Let me know if you need anything!
I have a friend that lives here and he have me info tips etc. Belgrade is safe.
I came in from Athens to Frankfurt and then Serbia. I had no questions asked in any of the airports and I went through like any other time I’ve traveled. They also stamp your passport when you enter Serbia so you definitely have proof you’ve been in the country before flying to the US.
You should contact air Serbia and ask them about their flights to US in July though. When I asked them about a week ago they told me only flights in June are 100% confirmed and suggested not to book something after June until they have updated this list here: https://www.airserbia.com/en/information/flights/relaunched-services-and-regular-flight-schedule/belgrade?__cf_chl_jschl_tk__=983211ec8d5809ab722defd28796b126e1bafafd-1592169162-0-AUWLeBNZWs1W6y03cWW6wmFBkapQZD-_JJZbmnEG1ZI7F3yFY5DiQXpdFv4a93S5Cee5_yQW9EUqkZ6JrKb8DYL8oa7ojAM7eF5Uvfl_AIpWQfyRgwxUubnFBqacVxVVlSexLEp_t4JsDoF6EGx46Y2tIocT3_A6j0yxKJdIOvuMV9xLdZ-1hUL7L-hptWR1YANERSC9EkfdckRzJkgQrcYRYpehbEoFowNgmFiSY0ebo2T8rg0vD63n6BRtrZTvKDPuCH4AV_ZOyOW-X7tIkWXIAORPHOqx6tAiwkVNjiszkCkE0iCofuHZvyhWv_G5yOGsSGTZCiqVkSJon65KNr97XybRMUK1YLcl3zFpbaAgPXlJNa_dt7kpuDYusEkxgQ

Yeah I feel the same way! The Mexican people have been extremely friendly and relaxed. I’m trying to be as positive as possible. I accompanied my friend to the airport today, she left for the US after quarantining here for 14 days (we spend 9  days together), and she just got to the USA! And had a pleasant and easy experience!! When I took her to the international section of the airport I was really surprised, it was empty and she was checked in after 5 minutes! No questions asked! I asked the stuff right there, if I would need a health certificate to fly next Saturday and they said no, and there are currently no plans for such measurements. (American Airlines). I’m so happy I went to the airport, because it gave me a lot of hope! Her flight was at 1.30 pm, we took a taxi at 10.30, arrived around 11.15 ish and she was checked in before 11.30! 🙌🏾 I’m so happy to know, she made it safe and sound and is with her fiancé now!!
