Hello friends, just received a text from USCIS and was hoping to hear that my case was also transferred and will be worked on. However the message said that my I130 was approved and NOA2 was on the way!!! My anniversary was last Sunday, could not have asked for more. Called my wife back in India and we both cried and smiled and now I'm out to office. Will be updating after NOA2 also. Just want to say thank you for all present in this community and staying positive and sharing their experiences. It really helped me stay calm for the last 12 months or so. I pray for everyone to have their loved ones near them very soon!

Yay !!!  So happy for your and your wife !!  May the rest of your journey go smoothly !!

    Thanks @TBoneTX.

    UPDATE:

Yesterday's yield was one of the highest case processing, and more so for approvals. Actually, I've never seen so many approvals in one day, except once!

Anyway, good news for everyone I hope .. will post some statistics later.

Yes, there is. For green card holders filing for their spouses .. does that apply to you? or did you mark this in your petition by mistake? Check if you have copies.

However, if the answer is NO to both questions, and you're sure 100% of this clear error, then you are qualified for an expedite based on the grounds of a "clear USCIS error". All you have to do is call USCIS, confirm the transfer to CSC, and IF this is the case, then directly and immediately ask to expedite the case and mention this category and explain the situation .. you don't even have to convince the officer on the call.

Let us know how it goes.

So I smoke to someone today and they said that they have started processing spousal of USCs i-130s in CSC now.  Is this not true ?   I have spoken with at least 5 other people who were transferred there with the same type of petition as well.  Now I’m really worried.

  4. Go to your registry and request for your long form birth certificate. I had to have it for my kids when registration then with the US Consulate as foreign born citizens.  It’s a sheet that has your birth weight , time of birth , dr , all of that.  You don’t need your mom to get it -just go to the registry with two forms of ID.

Ok so editing -looks like what you have is the one I’m talking about. Not sure why they won’t accept that ...very strange.  However just request a regular birth certificate then and hopefully that will work.  Here in Alberta they are a small paper with name of parents , your name, and birth place ...maybe that’s what they want ??  Other than that I’m lost

Wow, I am tentatively pleased to announce that today (Feb 19) I got an email from USCIS that implies my I-130 was approved; my case status was changed to "Post Decision Activity" and informed me that they have sent my case "to the Department of State for visa processing". It further directs me to consult the website where I "can find general information on Consular Processing" and that the "website will provide information on what do next, who to contact and how to inform us of any changes in your situation or address."

I believe that, regardless that I do not have the formal NOA2 letter in hand, that this is effectively what this means, based on the language in the email and on my USCIS account.

My file was only transferred from Nebraska to the Vermont service center on February 4. So if I am correct in interpreting this, it took only 15 days for a decision on the I-130 after transferring!

Awesome news !!!  When did you submit your i-130 ?  Ours is processing through Nebraska as well.  I have heard that there have been transfers made but haven’t heard how many ext.

    Please, see inbox

Only random cases across April were processed. Nothing regular, yet.

How do you find this information on what caesed are being worked on ext ?  I’m sorry , I’m just new to all of this and have no idea what anyone is talking about.  I received my first NOA on October 2 and then had on update that it was in process as of Nov 18th. I have heard nothing more since then.

Why does it not even show up on visa journey of unapproved cases is what I'm asking. My I-130 shows up. Just curious.

Sorry to cut in -but where are these lists you are talking about ...when you say Igor’s lists -or the list of visa journey .....also with whom and where are you having these live chats ?   I’m very new to this process and It’s starting to feel over whelming.  I received my first NOA in October of 2019 for our I-130.

Domicile is likely to be your main issue.

That is what I’m thinking too.  Although i do have a lot of things already to plead my case.  I have a Florida DL, my voter registration, credit cards going to my American account, I’m enrolled in collage in FL, i will have a signed lease agreement , i will also be transferring jobs with the same company ( but i won’t techinally be employmed there until we move) and there are a few other things.  So ilI think as long as i register my kids in the school back home I should be okay.  I have a while before i have to worry about this part but i just want to start getting things in order to be prepared.

Mmm. For I864 it is joint sponsor as per USCIS..

I understand that the wording used by USCIS is “joint”. When I said “co” I’m pretty sure everyone understood what I was referring to.

You income can't be used if it doesn't continue once you move back to the USA.

Only a portion of my income will continue, that is why I have my mother has a co sponser.  Her income well exceeds the required amount.

How will you be dealing with sponsorship?

I will be sponsoring him and my mom is co spounsoring. My husband makes the majority of our income and my income is just at the level that sponsorship requirements.

  12. Hi Everyone,  I have just started the process of immigrating my husband to the US.   We live in Canada and have been married 17 years.  We are now wanting to move home to be with my family.   I have the 1-30 ready to send out on Monday morning.   I have a couple questions about the rest of the process.   In specific,  I know I have to prove my intent to establish domcile but when do I send the letter of intent in ?   I see it says that it is good to have enrolled our kids in an American school and a having a job in the US.  My issue with this is we are all planning on moving home at the same time.  How can I enroll my kids in school when we are not down there yet.  Same thing about having a job in the US when I wont be going down until  he is approved.   I do have an active American checking account, credit cards, and my voter registration card.  I will also have a signed lease for a place we will be renting when we first move back.
