Hi everyone, so I had my interview on 10/23/19 and was recommended for approval. I was then told the oath ceremony would probably be scheduled in the next few weeks. It’s now been around 45 days with no update. I’m not that worried about it. Should I be? I’m thinking they are just overwhelmed with the quantity of people needing the oath in my area along with holidays. @Atnabz have you had your oath yet?
@scottsvisanope. still waiting for my oath date too. My friend who had an interview september 23 is still waiting as well.

For those with a marriage-based green card, did you/will you bring copies or originals of your marriage certificate and spouse’s birth certificate?
I did brought all the originals at the interview no copies thou. But the IO didnt bother to check it. She just asked for my IDs (gc, drivers license and passport)

I had my interview this morning. It went pretty fast. In and out for like 10minutes. My appointment was actually 8:30, came there like 7:35am. She called my name 7:40ish and was done before 8:00am. The IO wasnt intimidating at all, she's sweet and didnt go thru my previous addresses much as she said my application is based on 3 year rule. Civic questions are: What does the judicial branch do? whats the name of the Vice President? Who is the governor of your state? Who is the representative of your state? Who signs bills to become laws? Who is the commander in chief?
Goodluck everyone!

Yes could be - for me , the old site says we are actively reviewing your case and the new one still shows'' we've scheduled your biometrics....''
Same with mine. Old site says they're reviewing now. New site is still the same - "we scheduled your biometrics"

Had my biometrics today and my case completion change from december 2019 to november 2019.

I somewhat impulsively put that I wanted a name change on my application. My legal name is too long and so in the form, I indicated that I wanted to change it (to a shorter but same name) anyways, after stupidly doing that, and having everything submitted, I found out that name changes delay your oath taking since you can only do judicial ceremony (with a federal judge) vs the more common administrative ceremony (with an IO) so yeah there’s my big regret. But anyways, I will just let the officer know in my interview that I changed my mind and will not proceed with the name change anymore. I’m sure you can change that minor info in the interview. If you have included his year of birth as well, that is an obvious mix up in the approving officer’s eyes. A mistake that was certainly made in good faith, so I hope it works out. Maybe you can try messaging USCIS about it as well using MyUSCIS?
They replied and said that they can't verify it they will send an RFE. But errors can be verified/corrected during my interview. Now thats a relief! Thankyou 😊

I cant stop thinking about the mistake i made with my application online. Most said not to worry as i can always settle/correct it during interview. 2 days after i submitted the application i noticed that the date i entered marriage with my spouse, it put his birthdate instead of our marriage date. I cant remember how it happened as i did put his birthdate right. Anyone made a mistake as well or is just me? 😔

Whomever made Google Sheet changes between 9:28 - 10:07 PM PT needs to be more careful. Aside from @neoblast adding details and formatting, there were additional changes to rows for atnabz & MsGazelle.
I have fixed/restored A2 @AI135 and A3 @Patsgal54 to there original values using version history.
Updated mine. Got biometrics schedule date as well.

Oh i didnt know we can do that. Thanks!

Im Curious about the timeline.
Why is the biometrics done part date is early compare to the biometrics appointment. Does it mean that you did the biometrics early before the appointment date?
-
Same here. My status change from recieved application to biometric was scheduled. 😊
