  1. Anyone here had a Antigen Lateral Flow Fit to Fly test at Heathrow Airport to fly to the US within the last few weeks that could share your experience with me please? x

How quick was it (Website says 40 minutes but I have doubts)?

    Thank you x

Ask to speak to the practice manager..I had issue's trying to get record's/letter from my doctors (they were just very very slow with returning information I needed). Had to call up numerous times. In the end went into the GP and waited to speak to the practice manager..it worked. Maybe try that?

I'm gonna give it till Monday and contact my GP to ask about any updates and if not I will contact the manager.

No wonder my GP surgery has less than 2stars on Google reviews, haha

  3. So I had my Visa Interview on Monday and it went well. They said they were still waiting on my medical and thought that was a little odd, but okay I'll wait a couple days to see if they change it.

I had to pay a fee to my GP on Friday to send some updated vaccination records to Visa Medicals and I called up my GP just now to ask about the status about that,
they said it could take 28 days for my GP to sign it and send it off to them!?

I'm baffled and stuck on what to do.

  4. How strict are they at enforcing the medical paperwork to be at the embassy for? I have my medical on the 4th but I needed to take my second Pfizer shot yesterday so they didn't have my full vaccination record on hand.
I had to hand in some paperwork from the Medical to my GP today (Because I took tetanus and flu shot at the medical) to fax over to the Visa Medicals office along with info about my non-suicidal or violent depression episode I had a couple years back
and my actual visa interview is Monday next week.

Heard that they're not denying people for not having their medical record at the embassy yet and just put them on a temporary waiting status but want to make 100% sure.

That is what I assumed so if they do not they will have to hold visa issuance assuming everything else is OK until they have the Medical.

So I am still able to attend my interview on the 22nd with no problems except them waiting on my medical to come after? x

I assume you will just have one, most people just have one.

    I think you misunderstood.

I had my medical today, great but they can't send it off till I have sent proof of my 2nd covid jab on the 17th of this month
Problem is my visa interview is the 22nd, but I don't think that's enough time for my medical to reach the embassy.

  7. I went for my medical today which went really well. I however need to get proof of my 2nd covid vaccine which I am taking on the 17th of this month.
But my interview is on the 22nd of this month and I feel like that simply isn't enough time for the medical to get to the embassy and I am worried.

What's the chances of an appointment slot opening up this side of Christmas but after the 22nd of this month? Thank you.

Here’s my suggestion for London K1s

    I would suggest:

    1. Submit DS-160.
    2. Gather documents. (for interview as well as documents for medical appointment). You don't want a looming appointment if you hit a hiccup and won't have what you need for the appointment.
    3. Book your medical date by calling the clinic. 020 7486 7822.
    4. Book the courier, pay, and pick an interview date all at the same time on https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb/iv. Select “I have received a letter from the consular section with instructions to register or schedule a K visa appointment”, whether you have the letter or not.  Leave 5-7 calendar days between medical and interview for best results.
    5. Attend your medical.
    6. Attend your interview.

Gather documents step is important. See lists:

    https://uk.usembassy.gov/visas/fiancee-2/required-documents/

    http://www.visamedicals.co.uk/us-bring.htm

And do read all the information and FAQs on the embassy website instructions. Don't assume you picked up everything you need to know in the K1 threads. Each embassy does things in their own way.

Thank you for all of this!! Major help!!
