Congratulations! And thanks for sharing your experience. Really hoping DFW continues to actively schedule interviews.
Btw the way, our scheduled appointment was at 1030, we walked in at 1015 and walked out at 1050.
At first we got there really early since we love far away and stranded in the security line because it was long. It looks long but goes fast, we had to step out and wait till it was closer to our time

5/27/2021 - DFW - Had our interview today,
lots of people where there, they didn't care if you were on the phones if you're waiting, no signs there stating otherwise.
We saw some people come out and had issues, one guy was really strict. Lots of people had lawyers there, we didn't.
Their was about 10+ people doing the interviews. We honestly didn't wait long and they went fast. There was about 50 people waiting.
Our agent we got was a nice female. She asked the basics, How did you meet, do we have a job and she asked for evidence, we gave her all our credit card statements, joint checking, joint titles, joint bills and about 100 pictures. In the end she only kept 1/10 of the items. She didn't ask for W2 or Tax stuff. She did go on to confirmed everything was correct on the I485. She couldn't given an answer and just stated everything looks good. 2 hours later , status got changed to new card being produced. Good Luck Everyone.

We have our interview on Thursday. Equal parts nervous & excited! We're compiling all of our documentation today. For my I-864, I am brining a copy of what I submitted last year, copies of the supporting documents, AND updated documents (latest tax return, W2, and current paystubs).
Is that right? I don't fill out a new I-864, right?Thanks!
We have our interview on this coming Thursday as well, The "What items to bring" did not state anything about any new forums, just proof of joint assets and relationship stuff. We are nervous and excited! Good luck to you!

Our appointment is 6/1 in Santa Ana, CA. Now I'm worried about the physical exam. My wife and child both had the physical exam in the Philippines over two years ago now in January 2019, entered the USA just before the six month expiration of the visa on July 7, we got married Sep 21 2019. Do we need another physical? No RFE. I just hate to spend at least $500 on physical exams that might not be needed. When I read the policy, it appears that we do need them. Should I wait until the interview to find out? Then what happens?
i honestly don't know the answer for that. I do understand spending unnecessary money is frustrating, but if you need it and don't have it, It will delay things more. If you get it and don't need it, it's frustrating but at least you were prepared just in case.

My EAD package was not returned. The EAD package I sent included everything minus the I-797 for AOS. To my surprise, I received 3 I-797C notices. The first I-797 states the I-765 renewal was received by the office and is in process. It also states that if I timely filed my EAD for renewal, the renewal is under a category that's eligible for 180-day extension, and if I don't receive my EAD before it expires, then the I-797C is proof for the employer that my EAD is automatically extended for up to 180 days after the expiration printed on my combo card. The 2nd I-797 gives me an online access code (expires 90 days from the receipt date of the I-797) to give me access to an account that USCIS has created for me. The 3rd I-797 states that USCIS is able to reuse my previous biometrics data and it's not necessary for me to appear for another biometrics appointment.
I recently sent in the AP application with the above mentioned requirements and yesterday I received a text message stating they have received it. Hope this helps.
which address did you send it too? TIA i thought it was the original one, but wanted to make sure.

Congrats! That’s encouraging to here. I felt like it was radio silence for interviews in the DFW area for the longest time. When did you file your case?

Congratulations ! Did you call Social Security to see if the immigrant name is in their system ?
I did call SSN and they said they can't look up someone unless they have a SSN, I explained the situation and just got the run around. 2 days later, the Social security card that says limit to work came in the mail. I think it was just delayed, but its an official card so I'd assume its in the system.

I-131 Case Was Approved 9/22
I-765 Case Was Approved 9/22
Is it "normal" for the I-765 to go from "New Card is Being Produced" to "Case Was Approved"? I guess the next notification should be "Card is in the mail"???
yes, next update should be card has been shipped and it should give you a tracking number.

Ok guys....here it some great news for all April 2020 AOS Filers:
My wifey’s card status changed today to “New Card Being Produced”. It changed just moments ago (at about 5pm PST). Status went from “Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken and applied to case” to “New Card Being Produced”. The advance parole application still says “Case was updated to show Fingerprints were taken”. We will wait to see if it comes as a Combo Card but I am fairly confident that it will 😄. I filed on March 28th, 2020 and USCIS Received our case (NOA date of) April 1st, 2020. Thus it looks like we are the 1st April 2020 filers to get approved without any expedite request.
I will keep you all posted to confirm that it is indeed a combo card once we receive it. Good luck and I hope that this paves the way for April EAD/AP approvals!!ours just updated to this as well. AP just shows the bios were taken, hope it does come with combo

Thanks for the reply. How long did it take for you to get a biometric appointment after "fingerprints fee was received'? Btw which city is your ASC?
they sent our first NOA that they received it around April 10, 2020
Its a K-1 Visa, not sure what yours is, or if they make a difference,
We got a Bio appointment about 3 weeks ago. no RFE. so April to August was our first update.
Fort Worth, Texas.

I am an Aug filler. An update for my and my wife’s cases. They were received from USCIS on Aug 18th. Receipt notice was mailed 1st of Sep.
Interesting is that I-131 and I-765 status is case was received. But for I-485 status is “fingerprint fee was received”.
Does anyone know if that means that they plan to send me a mail with biometrics appointment? Weird is that this is only updated to my I-485 case and not at the other two (I-131 and I-765).
Service center is: NBC
pretty sure thats just how it goes, ours was that way till we got our bio appointment in September. You'll either get an biometerics appointment or a RFE. just be patient, i wouldn't expect it anytime soon.

Thanks!
My health insurance enrollment is coming up and I need either an ITIN or SSN to add him. I’m hoping we will get the SSN in time, but who knows with the current environment!
i thought the same too initially, however, we have united health care, ive seen this from another post, and also confirmed it with my employer. just put all 999-99-9999 as a temporary ssn.

Hey Kayden, Did you get your biometrics letter for all three applications? I'm curious because mine just said for I765/I485. I had my biometrics yesterday and I asked the officer about my I131 and she said it was not scheduled yet for that particular application, which I found odd. Anyway My I765 and I485 status changed to Fingerprints were taken but nothing on I131.
We had 2 letters from USCIS, one was for the 485/765 and the next day we received another one for 131, but for a different date/location. (the different location was probably because they didn't update our change of address on the 131). Contacted USCIS and they stated just to take both notices to the appointment that was near us.
in other words, yes we got a separate letter for the 131, and uscis stated just take it in with the others and get it done. I don't think they'll do it if you dont have the letter for it. then again, i cant see why they cant just copy the bio information from the 485/765 to the 131 later on

Great! Thanks! I am in Texas as well. Any updates on any of your cases after the biometrics?
485/131/765 all show
Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken

same here, they actually gave our 485/765 in one state. and the 131 the next day in a different state. (we had a change of address and i guess it didnt update on the 131) contacted the USCIS agent and they said just take all the letters to the closest/first appointment and they will do it all together there. we got it completed yesterday and its already updated on the case tracker for all 3.

Does my wife needs to be present with me on the Biometrics appointment?
at least in our area, they only allow the person getting the finger prints inside, no one else. it took 5 minutes.

Small update. I had a change of address from New mexico to dallas texas back in may. I notice recently most bio appointments people were getting, including me, were for 485/765. which was fine, i think someone said that they'll do 131 with the 765. Anyways, our appointment is this monday for 485/765 in fort worth texas. Today i received another letter for our 131 bio appointment back at our old address in new mexico for tuesday. just a heads up, since i guess they're sending some separate. (we filled all 3 together).
agent stated to bring all appointment letters to the first scheduled appointment regardless if its different times/dates/locations and they should clear it up

Our case updated on July 28th saying that the biometrics has been scheduled. But we still haven’t gotten a letter in the mail with the details. Should we call? I see lots of people are getting appointments for next week, I’m worried we’ll end up missing it!
I would call, our notice states if we miss our appointment, the case would be considered "abandoned"
