Is there any official source or data backing up the notion that the I-751s approved in approx. 3 months is exclusively due to a military spouse being involved in those cases?

Not really because Mil spouses living overseas can jump straight from AOS to expediting their citizenship. If a mil spouse goes through ROC they are living stateside and have no priority whatsoever. We are going through the process like everyone else. The only cases I can think of is the spouse getting orders to go overseas in the middle of the process and then (maybe) getting it expedited but I don’t even know if this would be true

its not really.  what is it that entitles a military spouse for priority. Its not like the spouse is participating in war

There is no entitlement. And you should know that the only ones getting priority are those living overseas because they obviously need to be on 100% legal status. But even then, mil spouses living overseas don’t even need to do ROC. They can expedite citizenship for them. For us mil spouses stateside, there is absolutely no priority whatsoever. But even if we did have any, it’s still a poor take on your end.

This is for all march submissions and also for future filings below is my current timeline for I-751 and a very close call and mistake I hope everyone in VJ avoids moving forward.

DACA to AOS (DONE THROUGH ATTORNEY):
    •    11/05/2019 - AOS (I-485, I765, I-131 Mailed)
    •    11/07/2019 - AOS (I-485, I765, I-131 Received)
    •    11/18/2019 - AOS (I-485, I765, I-131 NOA’s received in mail)
    •    11/29/2019 - AOS (Fingerprint notice received)
    •    12/13/2019 - AOS (Fingerprint appointment)
    •    02/24/2020 - AOS (I-131 Approval notice Received)
    •    02/25/2020 - AOS (I-765 Approval notice Received)
    •    02/05/2021 - AOS (I-485 Interview notice Received)
    •    03/10/2021 - AOS (I-485 Interview appointment)
    •    03/10/2021 - AOS approved on the spot and status changed to card in production.
    •    03/12/2021 – Green card received in the mail.

REMOVAL OF CONDITIONS ON PR CARD (DONE BY ME):
    •    11/05/2022 – Reminder to file for I-751 received in the mail don’t ask why I filed it so late was chasing my lawyer around for the costs and the process didn’t get back to me until February I don’t know why I waited so long for him.
    •    02/19/2023 – ROC (I-751 mailed)
    •    02/22/2023 – ROC (I-751 received)
    •    02/24/2023 – ROC (Credit card I used capital one got declined)
    •    02/27/2023 – ROC (I-751 rejected due to payment being declined)
    •    02/26/2023 – ROC (I-751 2nd package mailed because I knew first one got declined so automatically, I knew it got rejected P.S I USED A PERSONAL CHECK THIS TIME)
    •    03/01/2023 – ROC (I-751 2nd package received)
    •    03/03/2023 – ROC (I-751 2nd package rejected yet again because I thought I didn’t include the rejection notice but what had happened is I included a copy of my G-1455 from the first filing so the officer thought I was trying to use 2 payments but I expressed this in the cover letter it’s just for evidence purpose, but I guess they didn’t read it)
    •    03/03/2023 – ROC (I-751 1st rejected package received in the mail)
    •    03/08/2023 – ROC (I-751 3rd package mailed at this point I am in super panic mode because my 90 day was up on March 10th but because of the previous mistakes it came to this)
    •    03/09/2023 – ROC (I-751 3rd package received literally a day before my GC expired this time I only mailed a personal check along with the first rejected package I got and also included a fresh new package in case because I didn’t know you can include the rejected package ONLY and it will be fine)
    •    03/14/2023 – ROC (I called USCIS to get an update and told me the magic words “your case has been accepted” oh man I was so relieved to hear this I was jumping up and down I also got the receipt number for my case from them)
    •    03/15/2023 – ROC (personal check was cashed and was posted on my checking account the same day I have never been so happy to see someone take $680 from my account ever in my life)
    •    03/20/2023 – ROC (NOA’s received in the mail but I have yet to get a text message from USCIS)
    •    03/21/2023 – ROC (Extension letter received in the mail)
***PLEASE ANYONE FILING ANY USCIS FORMS DO NOT USE DO NOT USE!!!!! CREDIT CARD AS A PAYMENT OR YOU WILL REGRET IT TRUST ME LOOK AT MY CASE***

reading this gave me anxiety 😭 I paid with credit card and was one of the few lucky ones it seems!! I used a credit card for every case I’ve sent so far.

So glad it finally worked out for you!

My online access code letter says my case will be processed at Nebraska Service Center

I don’t see anything on my docs tab either! Or I don’t even know if I am looking in the correct place lol. The only documents tab I see only asks me if I want to upload any evidence

Thanks so much for everyone who gave me the answers/advice to the questions in my previous post!

I don’t need to submit the copies of passport, correct? I just want to clearfy that because I got a new passport to change my last name to my spouse’s after I got my GC. Also, I thought some people submitted their passport copies for identification purpose…

I saw the comments that submitting the copies of driver license is a good evidence to show that we live in the same place, but my spouse has the driver license but I don’t have mine, so it doesn’t work. Like I mentioned above, I thought we needed those for identification purpose :’(

    Thanks,

I sent copies of our passports and my US spouse’s birth certificate just in case but it is not necessary at all! I just did it because 2 extra papers wouldn’t make a difference in our stack (which was already small enough anyway 😅

    I-751 Packet sent March 3rd

    Received by USCIS March 6th

Text confirmation with IOE number March 8th

Case being actively reviewed by USCIS March 10th

Same exact timeline and status change on March 10th to actively being reviewed! No letter yet for me. Hoping to get it this week!

just wondering, so are IOEs like they scan everything we send and the IOs just review it on their computers when it gets assigned to them?

    that's a lot of scrolling.

also can someone post the bottom of the page of the NOA that shows the service center? blurred out some details of course.

I can share a photo once I get my letter hopefully this week

We sent our application via FedEx on 2/14/2023 to Elgin Lockbox....exactly the 90 day mark. Got notification 2/17/2023 that credit card was declined. Thank you Discover for flagging the purchase as fraud! Their approach was have the vendor resubmit. Here's to another chunky fee to FedEx the package again, once we get it back! Definitely will send a check this time (did credit card because thought it would move faster...I stand corrected!) and should be good to move forward. Good luck everybody!!! :joy:

Oh wow I can’t believe I didn’t read this before sending my package with my Discover card as the one used to get charged! I’ve been lucky I guess since it got charged yesterday and I got my NOA text. I did give a heads up to the bank a few days prior letting them know I was going to get a $680 charge from USCIS/Dept of Homeland Security. I made sure to remove any limits as well just in case. Crazy!

I’m a March filer but lurking in February to see where everyone’s at :)

My receipt # also starts with IOE. I tried adding the case to the MyUSCIS website but then it asked for an “Online Access Code”. I’m assuming that code will be in the NOA. I don’t know much about it 😅 still waiting for that letter.

Same I literally just tried adding it like half an hour ago and it asked me for the code! Well I guess all we can do now is wait but I’m so impatient especially with the uncertainty around IOE cases 😂

omg yes I saw that one! I actually contacted my bank and I gave them a heads up about USCIS/Dept of Homeland Security charging $680 to my card in the upcoming days. I made sure I had no limits at all set just in case. They made a note for it. Not sure if this helped any more or less but always better to be precautious just in case!

I called USCIS, the lady from call center said that either way that will not affect my immigration case. Also our tax specialist said that is better to file taxes with SSN, this way we can get refund faster, filing with residential status and with SSN I might be eligible to get stimulus checks that people got in 2020. So guys that information for everyone who is having this concern.

How can we claim our stimulus checks? I have a SSN as well and we’re filing taxes soon but I have no idea how to do anything. I only know I have to file them as resident alien since I’m married to a USC. How do we know if we’re eligible?
