Did you guys sent in your packet 3 info upon receiving your first "Ready"? I just got my first "Ready" today and wondering if I wait to send in the packet 3 until next week...

I am just a couple of weeks behind you all and have found your thread extremely helpful. Super excited to see you all getting approved and wishing you luck with your move :D

We waited one or two days before sending packet3 after the first ready. When the date changed but still in ready status, we sent it again (sept5). That was after a week, if i remember right. The next day, we got packet4 via email. I think we never got packet 3.

We sent ours as soon as we saw the first ready on Aug. 28, but may have been too quick to the draw. They sent us an email back right away saying please wait to send your Packet 3 materials until the Visa Unit is ready.

Then we got the second ready on September 5, sent an inquiry email (whether or not to send the materials again), they responded the next morning telling us to send the Packet 3 components, and we sent the materials again. They responded on September 10 with Packet 4. Based on what people here had recommended, it worked for us to just keep communicating with them until they told us it was okay to send, then wait for them to send Packet 4. This was SO much faster because we only received the actual Packet 3 request in the mail weeks later.

Woohooo we got ISSUED this am!

We will breathe normally as soon as we receive the passports... One more wait and done!!!

Good luck to all of you ... the struggle is real, but this forum helped tremendously!

Thanks to everyone here.  See you guys at AOS

    God is great!

We've been ISSUED too!! About two hours ago, so happy. My sentiments exactly - thank you to everyone here, this forum provided much needed support and information during this process.

See you on the other side!

True, my fiancé's was at 9am and they closed at 3pm, so that would make sense.

Haha, so true. And to think we thought approval was the end of the tunnel...Yes, let's all update.

Latest update, ours has now changed to 'Application Received' and from IMMIGRANT to NON IMMIGRANT. Things are moving!

    You're welcome @pandp

My fiance's appointment was at 7 am.  So they had more time to process most likely...

Let's update each other here. We are ALL on pins and needles until visa's are on hand.  Waiting continues.

Yes, on CEAC website.  The day of the interview (a couple of hours later), it changed from READY to APPLICATION RECEIVED and also switched from IMMIGRANT to NON IMMIGRANT.

You can check NON IMMIGRANT status on CEAC using DS-160 application number.

Okay, thanks CON, that's useful information. I'm not sure why ours hasn't changed if we were all there the same day, but I know sometime's their updates are fairly arbitrary. Thanks again.

Still shows Application Received as of now, but last updated yesterday Nov 12th.  I'd say that's a good sign... maybe passports will be mailed soon.

Hey Con, does your status say "Application Received" on your CEAC page? Ours only says 'Ready' but perhaps that's because we had a later interview time? Pretty frustrating that their office was closed all day Thursday, Friday, and Monday.. we definitely did not factor that in as they reassured there wouldn't be any delays.

Hoping to see a change soon..

Hi wingman23! Any updates on the tracking # or delivery? I did the interview on the 6th as well, but nothing so far ...

Hey @Oh_Canada, no movement on our end either following our Nov 6 interview. I sent an email today and got an auto-response that notified that they were closed Thursday, November 7 and Friday, November 8, as well as yesterday, November 11, so we're hoping they're just a couple of days delayed processing the approved visas from last Wednesday. That seems to make the most sense..

As soon as anyone gets an update let us know!

Nov 16? Hope u ger ur documents on hand before that! (That's my fiancee's bday too!!) Great day indeed. 😉

Yes, updates on CEAC. But I believe once issued, we can track on ais.usvisa-info.com website - this is where we scheduled our interviews.

    Goodluck to us!!!

We need our documents by Dec 3 - going to the Phil. Then off to the US by Jan25. We have time but hopefully no delays.

Yes, November 16!! Can't come soon enough. We're lucky that we get to see each other very often but finally he's coming down and doesn't have to leave again! Okay, we've been checking there too, where it links to 'Check DS-160 Status.' It's most likely a case of them moving offices and now Remembrance Day, I'll be calling tomorrow if nothing changes. Congratulations again and good luck through the rest of it!!

Hi Pandp, what time was ur interview? Me and my son were #7 (at 7.30AM).

We checked CEAC same day and it changed from READY to Application Received.

Hopefully, it will be AP by Tuesday when they re-open at their new location.

Hi wingman23, my fiancé's interview was at 9am. We were so happy on Wednesday that we didn't check CEAC until the following morning, at which point I saw that it said last updated on Nov. 6.

We paid for premium and are really hoping to have it in hand in the next few days (he's moving down on Saturday!). It is the regular CEAC site that we checked in the past for all other case updates, correct?

Just an FYI to anyone curious about visa shipping. We paid for premium shipping and received the visa the very next day in Toronto. We were still in Montreal and they let the beneficiary's mom accept it without any ID. 😳 I feel like we got extremely lucky at every point throughout this process.

    Hey ScooterJones,

Quick question! We just had our interview last week on 11/6, were approved (!!) and also paid for premium - when did you see that your visa said 'ISSUED' on CEAC? Is it on CEAC that we check this??? Ours still just says 'Ready' but updated last on 11/6.

You are so smart... I didn't think to look on their website.

We did check our appointment to see if it got cancelled, it looked okay.

    GOD IS GREAT!

We also did not receive a notice! Seems like our appointments will be fine, but I agree, way too close for comfort!  Thanks for double checking, glad we're all in the same boat.

  12. Hi everyone, I just wanted to check in to see if anyone has any insight on the new presidential decree released yesterday.

According to NY Times, Guardian, etc., "Immigrants applying for US visas will be denied entry into the country unless they can prove they can afford health care within 30 days of entering or can’t pay for it themselves, according to a proclamation signed by President Trump. The new rule, which comes into force on 3 November, will be applied to people seeking immigrant visas, not those in the US already. It does not apply to those seeking asylum seekers, refugees or children. But it would apply to the spouses and parents of US citizens. That could have an impact on families who are trying to bring their parents to the US."

I do not mean to stir a panic and I don't think it applies to us K1 applicants anyway as the K1 is non-immigrant visa. In any case, my partner would be able to afford healthcare once he enters, but we haven't seen anything on VJ yet so thought we'd just check in. I suppose this may come into play for us when we do AOS after we get married. Any thoughts on how this new requirement might affect our processes would be much appreciated!

Thanks all, ever grateful for this community.

My pleasure. I had the same feeling, but was starting to lose hope because it is already getting late.  Thank God, I didn't quit refreshing :)

Actually after I made the payment, I saw the others dates as well. But in the initial screen, it just said Nov 6th.

I feel you, I refreshed maybe 5 minutes before I saw your post (and every 10-20 minutes before that 🙄) and they weren't available. Then saw your post and called my fiancé to book immediately (he's the beneficiary)! So happy they came through.

Hi everyone! Has anyone with NOA2 from 07/19 got their NVC case number yet?

Hi everyone! First time posting :)) I just called the NVC and our case number was assigned on August 9! NOA2 of July 16. Hopefully that means we will be on the August 20 shipment to Montreal.

@Greenbaum, apologies if this has been stated, but could someone confirm that our next step is to fill out the DS-160 as per packet three instructions? Thanks so much!!
