    I honestly think it has more to do with the fact that you got the National Benefits Center... Looking at different timelines, they generally seem to process I-751s quicker than the other service centers.

    Das neue Staatsbürgerschaftsgesetz ist jetzt endlich im Bundesgesetzblatt erschienen! Soweit ich das verstehe heißt das jetzt, dass das Gesetz in drei Monaten in Kraft tritt. Ich denke ich werde noch auf jeden Fall einen Monat warten um meine US Staatsbürgerschaft zu beantragen, weil mein Fieldoffice manchmal innerhalb zwei Monaten das Interview und die Oathceremony scheduled. Was sind eure Pläne? Wollt ihr überhaupt Staatsbürgerschaft?

    Jetzt hat der Bundesrat das Gesetz auch beschlossen! Also steht dem wohl nichts mehr im Weg.

    Auf Seite zwei des angenommenen Gesetzentwurf heißt es: "Mit der Rechtsänderung entfällt zudem das Antragsverfahren zur Beibehaltung der deutschen Staatsangehörigkeit nach § 25 Absatz 2 StAG." Also alles gut für uns!

    Also ich habe vor zwei Jahren meinen Reisepass und meine Namensänderung gleichzeitig gemacht. Das ging dann so, dass die den Reisepassantrag angenommen haben und ich dann mein heimisches Standesamt angerufen haben und die gebeten dem Konsulat eine Kopie der Namensänderungsurkunde per Email zu schicken sobald die ausgestellt wurde. Das haben die dann gemacht und das wurde auch vom Konsulat akzeptiert. Alles in allem hat das ganze vielleicht zwei Monate gedauert. Das war übrigens das Standesamt in München. Also denke ich, dass der Reisepass ohne Namensänderung recht schnell geht (sollte auch eigentlich kein Problem sein, weil die nur auf den Deutschen Namensstatus schauen glaube ich).

    Für noch ein Jahr im kleinen Lexington, Virginia! Kann ich nur empfehlen. Wobei ich gerne näher zu einer etwas größeren Stadt wäre.

    Ich wohne in Virginia am Rande der Blue Ridge Mountains und kann nur zustimmen. Wunderschön, vor allem jetzt im Herbst wird das toll!

    Ich habe gerade hier gelesen, dass die Koalition morgen über den Gesetzentwurf im Kabinett entscheidet und dass der Entwurf dann nach der Sommerpause vom Bundestag diskutiert und hoffentlich schnell abgeschlossen wird.

    Wow that's awesome! Congrats on the citizenship! I will have to wait for my three years of residency before filing my N-400... I assume most of us do.

    Same for me! And I don't have an extra 'USCIS Notices' tab, just the document one.

    They are now scanning the paper applications upon receipt, this allows them to process the applications electronically, hence the IOE numbers for physical paper applications.

    I don't have that tab either! Wondering if anyone does for their I-751...

    That was the case for us, yes. And I would say that's generally what happens.

    Did you try looking your own case number on casestatusext? It gives you a list of other similar numbers (filed around the same time) and what status they have. Also are you selecting the right service center? For IOE numbers it unfortunately does not give you an option to see what service center they are being processed.

    It would be interesting to know what service center these are being processed/approved from. Whether it is those cases generally or only from one of the centers.

    Wow, that's interesting. How do you filter for the March cases?

    This been like 2 years ago, but I found that asking for "technical assistance" during the prompts got me a live agent. I'm not sure if that still works, but may still be worth an attempt!

    Ugh, I'm sorry you have to deal with this. Maybe try to get a higher tire officer call you? The normal agents usually aren't super helpful.

    Did you ever receive a case number/NOA1? Have they charged your card/cashed the check? Maybe they never got the package...

    Same here! They won't refund anything though 😪

    Ours was labeled "USCIS (Phoenix Lockbox)." It may differ depending on the CC? Not sure. We used Discover.

    Pretty sure there are multiple people on here that got the letters on different days, so no cause to worry! It's in the nature of USPS that letters may not move through the system at the same speed, even if sent from the same place.

    I got a third letter with the access code to my uscis online account!

    That sounds like the National Benefits Center is your service center. I didn't know they process I-751s... I know some I-751 get transferred to the NBC after you file your N-400, but I didn't know they also process them before that.

    1. I'm not sure why some people get a 'biometrics reused' and others not. My assumption is that it has to do with the how long it was since biometrics were last taken, but I'm not sure. 2. You can find your service center on the bottom of your NOA1 (the 48 months extension letter). It should tell you where it is processed.
