    Only God, the embassy and probably DHL knows why we haven't received our passports yet. Just try your best and be active, do something to take your mind off  it. You'll surely get your passport with your visa placed in it. Next year by now some people experiencing this will also be reading what we went through after our interview. You are not alone.

    Yeah but most people usually got their passports around week 3. I'm surprised the embassy sent out K1 visas for interviews held on May 28 & 30 but couldn't send for CR1. I don't know if DHL has been communicating to the embassy about people coming there to request for their passports. they are the middlemen between us and the embassy. Also we can't see DHL as an angel, sometimes they cause the delay. Someone told me he was able to get his passport from DHL (I don't know how)  and got the message 2 weeks after the pick up. Sometimes people don't even get the messages at all. So those in Accra should try and go there time to time to check for us.  But since there are many of us experiencing this I guess its the embassy holding our passports.

     

    PS. We all reserve the right to be worried. If you can contain yours that's great but I dont think its good to tell someone how to feel or behave, its kinda disrespectful.

     

    May 30 to June 26 is a very long waiting time, so @Mrsamoah2019  has every reason to be worried. @GodTimeIsTheBest You had your interview just this Friday and you were even asking about the CO keeping your original birth certificate. So you simply have no idea how she's feeling now. It's not her fault other people weren't successful with theirs. I guess you know the right thing to do. 

     

    We all going through this together. Tomorrow is another day, let's hope for the best.

    Some of the CO's keep it (probably to verify the authenticity of the document). You'll get it back when you picking up your passport and packet from DHL

    traveldocs website  says Deliverly Information and nothing else...

    Welcome to the group 😀....I'm pretty sure they've sent all Issued Visas from that period to DHL now...Let's hope to get notified to pick up tomorrow morning

    Most of the people are not on VJ or have not updated their timeline. In May, it was just me and your hubby with interview on VJ but on the day of interview i realized there were a lot of other people coming for IV interview and i think on the day of your hubby's interview there were a lot more.  The process is just not predictable. For our passports i just can't think of any good reason they will hold it for this long. I hope we get pick up messages this evening or tommorow

    Wow that's a big risk you took. its recommended to have the visa in hand before you make certain decisions. Anyway I trust the passport will be ready before June 30. I've realized from previous posts that they usually send pick up messages on Wednesday evenings. Let's hope we get it this week...

    I am not complaining, I needed information from what may be someone has been through and how it was resolved, though  we may not be at the same location?

    Lol....Almost everyone I know who had thier interview on May 28 & May 30 have not received their passport yet. When DHL recieves it from the embassy we will surely get the notification. I've read previous posts about others who received their passports 3 weeks after the interview, so it not something new

    Dont worry, Also had my interview on May 28 but haven't received my passport yet. The embassy have not send it to DHL yet.
