    I got a letter saying that the case was transferred to NVC but it didn't update my status online. Will it update after it is at NVC or what?

    i THINK you will receive a new case number!

    YOU WONT BE ABLE TO USE THE STATUS CHECKER ON THE USCIS WEBSITE AFTER YOUR CASE HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO NVC. CALL NVC TO GET UR CASE NUMBER. CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!

    YES!!!! NOA-2!!!! APPROVED!!!

    Checked the USCIS website this morning and the petition was approved yesterday. My account was touched yesterday and the website was updated sometime between 7 pm last night and 9 am this morning. Finally, the long wait for the NOA-2 is over.

    Now comes the wait for petitions to be sent to NVC!

    Thanks for all the support and kind words from everyone, it really helps get thru this mess! Good luck to all apporved and those still in the wait!

    Is the beneficiary allowed to travel using tickets purchased in the petitioner's country?

    Absolutely! That's what we did...

    The beneficiary may pick up the plan ticket(s) purchased by the petitioner at the ticketing office or at the airport in the beneficiary's country. Be sure to specifically ask the airlines what the beneficiary needs to bring in order to pick up the ticket(s) and then have her double with their Philippine counterparts. The one thing that seems universal is that the beneficiary must have their passport/visa in-hand before the ticket(s) may be obtained. My wife also brought a copy of the receipt along with two forms of ID.

    Missy1: I never got a touch since the beginning of June and I never used the RFE trick. I did write my elected officials long ago and I did call them one time, but only got the normal customer service rep who knew no details. You should be coming up soon. I was surprised I didn't get the Chris email yet especially since I get all the other USCIS page update emails. Anyway, some others have not too so I would keep signing into your account with USCIS and not wait just on the Chris email.

    GOT OUR INTERVIEW DATE!!! DECEMBER 4!!!! :dance::dance::dance:
    :thumbs::thumbs: CONGRATS AND GOODLUCK..we do have same month of filling application.The thing is ours was forwarded to california service center. So sad until now we got no approval yet! More than 4months na since they recieved our papers. :crying::crying::crying:CSC sooo unfair! Anyways, Wish u luck on your interview,put some cents in your right shoe according to my grandmom it works hehehehe!

    oh im so sorry... :( I really hope you get yours soon!!! Keep the faith ok??? and thanks for telling me to put some cents in my right shoe! i havent heard that before but i will do it!!!! :D:thumbs: I hope I don't forget it!

    try manila pensionne. I'm not from manila so I will be staying there for more than a week for my medical exam and interview... it's affordable and is only a few blocks away from the us embassy and SLEC. it has a great ambience and i think very safe. here's the website: www.mpensionne.com

    Im here for your support....

    My mother as everyone now knows, has Alzheimers....

    This week my father was diagnosed with a rare thing called terminal Picks Disease. Front Temperal Lobal deterioration of the brain. It can progress fast taking him in as little as 2 years...up to 10 years he can linger. He is losing his ability to reason, take care of himself...ect. Im here alone...my family lives to far...i have no support...you guys are it. Just pray for us. I need my SO here..not just want..NEED...

    I'm so sorry to hear that amrssnowangel... :((F) I wish someone could help you do all those things... i remember my grandma and it makes me feel bad thinking about that. life is just so unfair... :(

    Let me say rather that the NVC says they received it and will be processing it within the week.

    Got my second NOA2 yesterday. Remember how I said I got two emails... now I have two NOA2s.

    The one on Friday said the Notice Date was Oct. 15th, and the one yesterday said it was Notice Date Oct. 18th. Everything else is the same.

    I also got the NVC letter stating they approved the visa and it is dated Oct. 22.

    I only needed one NOA2. I wish I could give the second one to someone else!

    I'm happy for you empr! :D Wilson got 2 NOA2 emails from them too. I think there were many who got 2 NOA2 emails here.
