I did my biometrics on October 20. I know a lot of people did it on the same days. Anybody else waiting on updates/EAD?

No case status update, still fingerprint fee was received.  I can't submit an “outside normal processing time” service request, because every time I tried it says "error, please contact technical support"

Mine at least says fingerprints were taken but nothing else now... Slow AF

@NataBubu It took almost 2 months for my husband to get approved after his biometrics. Some people have seen similar timelines and others received their approval with 1-2 weeks. So it varies. Best advice, keep calling and try to reach out to your Senator. We didn’t see any movement until our Senator got involved.

I tried my senator and they are from the red party. No help at all

Just completed biometrics! Our notice was just for the I-485/I-765 (code 3) but while I was there I asked if they could do the I-131 as well. Thank goodness I did because, contrary to the tier 2 officer telling me I "wouldn't need biometrics for the I-131" (which we all know to be untrue), I did actually have a second appointment in the system for well into November. I was able to get the Code 3 for I-485/I-765 and Code 2 for I-131 all completed today.

One more step in the right direction! Now the wait continues ...

    I couldn't get mine for i-131 :( but that's great for you!!

there is nothing done at the ASC that convinced me they are doing anything more than giving you hand sanitizer, wipe the finger print scanner before each applicant.

They are not checking for temperatures or even ask any questions for COVID.  Neither are the ASC folks in Hazmat suits. I was disappointed :)

In mine they were in hazmat suits. When doing the fingerprints they put a glass wall in between you and the person, it was pretty good.

Finally completed my biometrics today. it took less than 3 minutes to finish. ASC was empty and the employees are bored as hell.  What a cluster fest is USCIS. 9 months wait for a 3 minute task

I think most ASC are under working and over estimated about them being busy.

Mine took about 10 minutes but they were really careful with COVID, that's probably the main issue. If things were controlled better, we would've gotten the appts a long time ago...

This is no good man. Clear as day, he just told me what the tier 1 agents told me over-and-over: 'We don't have the ability to book you in... You have to wait until 90 days from reopening...'

I'm now planning on moving jurisdictions because we as a family can't keep waiting on the Manhattan ASC.

Keep calling, you might get lucky as me. I tried a few times and nothing happened before but eventually it did

I tried that way back in mid-August. Never heard a thing. But I read about a decent amount of people it worked for, so I still think it's worth a try.

I also never heard anything about my SR from 8/21. Idk why the case inquiry is even a thing...🤷‍♀️

Also quick update on my end. Today, 12 days after giving biometrics, my I-765 status changed to "card is being produced". It skipped every other update, including approval. I-131 still hasn't updated online, but I assume that's approved as well.

Looks like even without a pre-approval, the wait for EAD/combo card after biometrics is pretty short.

    Good luck everyone!!

I think most of us that are with no biometrics and no longer getting RFEs are almost.done with the process, just waiting on biometrics, after that it should go fast. Although I've seen ppl still with no updates after bio but I think that's not the majority

Wow, even though you werent able to get an actual appointment at least you were able to expedite!! I know that there are good people working for USCIS, but today just left such a bad taste in my mouth (not to mention, another lost job opportunity thanks to USCIS' incompetence).

I sincerely don't even look for jobs because of that. I'm not saying you're wrong but to avoid the frustration, you know? USCIS has been playing with us and I don't wanna nail a good job and get told by immigration that I can't work because they're not working properly. It's frustration after frustration. What about a little empathy from the agent side? Like it's not easy our lives, we're doing everything within the law, what else do you want from me? It's BS after BS. And that's why sometimes we call and be rude to ppl because of the bad apples inside of it. It doesn't take anything to just be polite saying I can't do anything and I'm sorry you're in this situation. They could say that and everything would be better

  9. So, continuing on that... I got a call back from tier 2, asked about biometrics, told him that ppl were able to schedule appts with tier 2 and he told me that they usually are able schedule when they got it canceled or they either need to reschedule again. He said he didn't have the authority of scheduling a appt out of nowhere, unless you are in those situations. He even talked to his supervisor about it and the last thing he did was to put a request to expedite the biometrics appt and he said to call again if the expedite does not work. At least he was nice and explained all of that.

Right so update on biometrics -- the tier 2 officer I spoke with was extremely rude, interrupted me a number of times while I was explaining, and said that she hadn't even heard of the "waiting 90 days past ASC opening".

She said there's literally nothing we can do but wait until it's scheduled. I asked whether or not I can call on day 91 for an inquiry and she repeated that they don't schedule biometrics so there's nothing to do but wait. So that's frustrating AF because we all know tier two officers can schedule biometrics appointments.

I've read on reddit ppl getting biometrics appt with tier 2 but this guy's tried for a whole week to get a good tier 2 who was willing to do something. It's annoying that some of them are willing to do something while other don't give AF about us.

Maybe try again? I know it's really frustrating and it shouldn't work this way but what else can we do? I'm on the same boat and waiting for a tier 2 call.

  11. Hey everyone! I talked to uscis through Emma and apparently if you have a notice of a form that needs biometrics in 30 days and your office has been opened for more than 90 days, you can request a case inquiry under the session did not receive notice by mail. (The website is this https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do)

Mine hasn't been 90 days but I'll probably request an inquiry anyway
