My Package was sent to the embassy according to DOS on August 26, I called September 4th to find out if the embassy have gotten it after tracking it on DHL website and I did see it was received on August 31st, I was it's not on Lagos Consulate's record yet, I called back, i have emailed them a couple of times still nothing so you are your SO might have to wait a while because our consulate is one of the slow ones and according to what i heard they are working on DV Lottery interviews right now hence the delay. Just keep praying all will be well.

Congratulations Richard, I come online all the time to see if you have been approved and this is truly good news, no one deserves it more. Good luck on the rest of the journey.

Hello All,
I have sent all necessary paperwork to my SO and I found out I didn't include a statement from my bank which I felt is not necessary since I have my tax transcripts, letter from my employer and my paystubs ready for my SO's interview. Should I go ask my bank for a statement of my accounts and how long I have been banking with them? I'm confused.

I sent an email to the lagos consulate last week asking if they have received my packet since when i tracked it on DHL website, I saw it was sent out by NVC on August 26th and received in lagos on August 31st but they emailed me back after giving sending me countless FAQ responses that they do not have my record on their files yet, i called DOS this morning, spoke to a very nice lady who called NVC to find out when my packet was sent to Lagos only to tell me it was sent electronically on August 26th and mailed out same day so my question will not be does the DHL mail take 2 weeks to get to Lagos or do they just have alot of paperwork to process which might be the reason my case number is not on their records yet? I hope we all get our interview dates soon and favor and success all the way.
Yes, it usually takes a month before they say that they have recieved your physical case. Personally I think it's a bunch a bull especially when we have proof that it was delivered by DHL on a certain date and then they continue to tell you that they don't have it. I got really frustrated one time and emailed them and said "I know my package was delivered, it was sigend off by_______" .....lol.... of course they didn't comment on that but sent the regular they haven't recieved it yet email.
In my email to them I indicated the name of the person who signed for my package but they still sent me the regular they haven't received it yet. One thing I do believe is that God has never created anyone He cannot handle and He is in control of this situation, no matter what they do I refuse to let them get to me. I have waited this long and I believe my/our joys will be full sooner than later. Hang in there guys!!!!

I spoke to my fiance again. He was telling me more about the questions asked, etc. He then clarified one question the officer asked him that I posted earlier. It's worse than what I thought he said the first time:
Then the officer asked him if we decided to get married because they got married.
The officer actually asked him if we had decided to get married in the states because our friends married there and the husband was denied- so in other words we were trying to get by in another way since that way didnt work for them?!?
That idiot! We decided to do the fiance visa and get married here so my sons can be present.
UUUGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LAGOS CONSULATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can imagine how you are feeling right now and my prayers are with you and as Mrs Jibowu said, Admin Review is better than outright denial and I pray that the Lord will vindicate you and you will soon be with your love. Be strong.

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't posted anything for a while - been pretty crazy. I've started to add a comment or two, but I feel almost guilty since we got our NOA2 and so many others are waiting. Crazy to feel that way, I know. Nevertheless....
Just an update on us and how post-NOA2 has been so far. NVC got our paperwork last Monday and sent it to the embassy on Tuesday (8/18). I waited to call until 8/19 and it was already through. Calling NVC was painless except the number was busy a lot so it took a while to get through. Once connected, very fast and efficient. They gave me the Case Number assigned (see below) but I also got a copy in the mail from NVC on Saturday with that information.
I've tracked what I believe is our package from NVC using the link http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackByRef I entered "EXP 18 AUG 2009A" as the reference and chose dates to/from of 8/17 and 8/19. It's documented elsewhere on how to do this, but if you need any assistance, send me a PM and I'd be happy to assist. Anyway, it looks like the package is in Manila now, but hasn't been signed for at the embassy.
Amy has her medical tomorrow. For Manila, it's first-come, first-serve. So all she needed was the print of the NOA2 notification email and the Case Number assigned by NVC (not the EAC number from VSC), along with passport photos.
We hope everyone from March gets approved soonest. My sprinklers are on right now and my pom-poms are out. Hang in there and let me know if I can be of any help. And be ready - as others have said, things happen fast once this step is done.
So glad to hear from you Stan! It's been a little while, hasn't it?
Yep it sure does seem like things are going quickly for you now. We're all hoping that Amy won't have any issues with her Medical and no delays will follow! You'll be together so soon! Amazing the difference of waiting for the NOA2 and just a short while after...it's barely comparable.
Also, I received the Approval Notice this morning both in my email and updated on the USCIS Website.
