Congratulation, i got same date for interview. U ll get ur passport with visa stick in it on november 9th? Or may be different there. I can feel ur happiness

Thank you and yes yes yes yes

  2. You need to call the IRS and ask for 3-4 years tax transcripts, as soon as you do that, you will receive them in 5 days tops, then you can include your W2, letter from your employers indicating the length you have been employed and your salary and if in your affidavit of support you indicated your savings amount, then you need a letter from your bank. hope this helps?

  3. Well, I just booked my flight to Poland and our return. I leave on November 25th, interview on November 30th and with luck we will all return together on December 9th.

    And so shall it be!!!!!!!!!

Are you on top of the world or what? :)

I am floating right now, don't know when i will come down from this high. My fiance at the consulate was really astonishing, he didn't spend more than 5 mins at the interview, everyone was so nice which was really unlike all the stuff we hear concerning that consulate, it is so encouraging to hear good news about that consulate. Can't wait to be with him it's being a long hard road to get here. So do you blame me?

  4. My fiance just got his visa approved today!!!!! God is so faithful       He stated that they were so nice to him at the embassy, this must be the beginning of new things in that place, He was only asked a few questions like "where kind of work does your SO do for a living?, Who are these in the pictures, what is her uncle's name, have you met her parents and have they approved your relationship? describe where the pictures were taken? he said he didn't even spend more than 5 mins during this interview, the lady went inside and came back with a paper for him to go pick his visa up next week. Thanks for everyone who have been of tremendous assistance during this phase of our journey, counting on your assistance later and for all that is still waiting, yours is the next testimony in Jesus Name. I have been praising God all morning.

That is WONDERFUL news! Congratulations and I am so happy for you! I agree that yes, this embassy must be improving as we had a great experience there also.

I want to let you know that they are a little behind in printing the visa's though, my fiance was supposed to pick his up yesterday, but it was not ready....FYI he was told that they deliver the visas on Tuesdays and Fridays. No worries though....it will be ready in a few days!

Congrats again, glad I can share your happiness with you!

Thank you so much, your testimony encouraged me alot and i told my fiance, that we have two approved visas ahead of us, One for the Father, one for the Son and ours is for the Holy Spirit and truly God took control. We are so thrilled.

  6. Well our interview is officially tomorrow 7 am there @ USEM, Manila time. I hope and pray as always God will see us through, as He will, and as He wills, Mark 11:24. Wow, what a journey, huh? So much love and strife, stress and resilience. Our pain of waiting, my worry is gone and we now leave it all in the hands of Jesus. Yeah, she is a lil bit nervous but she is confident with the truth and Gods' love on our side. Thursday November 5, 2009 will be our best day so far in this long journey with the shortest part of the rest of our life, Amen and Amen.

Our interview is officially tomorrow as well, I am a nervous wreck, i have not prayed this much all my life. I can't wait to get married to this wonderful man. This is one nerve racking experience but i just want to thank my March family for their encouragements, advice and prayers. Mari Joe, I pray for success for you at the interview.

  7. Hi VJers,

I have a silly question to ask. As of October 19,2009, NVC mailed out our approved petition to the Lagos consulate. I a nurse and last year I made 46,000 on my 2008 tax. I dont have any kids and neither does he. Is my income sufficent or do I need a co-sponsor? Also how long will it take for my fiancee to get packet 3 from the Lagos consulate? Thanks so much

Your question is not silly in anyway, shape or form, it's something you need to know and i believe your income is well above the requirement. As for your question, your fiance will not receive any packet from the Lagos Consulate, you the petitioner will receive an email in about 3 weeks after they receive your petition with all the necessary documents attached and you will be asked to print them out and send to your fiance for his interview. The email will also contain the date of his interview. As soon as he gets the interview date, he needs to to immediately to Kamorass Hospital for his medicals, he does not need any paperwork because all paperwork he needs will already be at the hospital, he will have to deposit 10,000 upon his first hospital visit for all his blood work and other stuff, then they will give him an appointment for another time for the results and medical fitness test, at that visit he should go with 7,500 naira. He also needs to get his fingerprint done at Alagbon Close in Ikoyi. Hope you understand all this? you can pm me if you have any other questions. Congratulations on your approval and best wishes.

  8. You don't need the interview letter to have your medicals done, download the forms and take them to Kamorass Hospital, they will take your bloodwork, vaccinations and then give you an appointment for the results and physical exams which might be two weeks later. So i will suggest go for the medicals but try emailing the embassy to see if they have set your interview date. Hope this helps.

Thanks for info..Then i think i will go ahead and let my woman know about this..so that she can go for the medical soon. But does the medicals expire?

The medicals expire 1 year after it was done so you are good for 1 year.

  10. They will email you and attach the documents needed. I don't know if they will email your SO cos mine didn't get any email but i will advice you tell your SO to go for his medicals immediately, he does not need any letter from the embassy for that because all the paperwork he needs for it will be given to him at the hospital, he just needs to bring his passport and passport photographs, the nurses at the hospital will fill out the necessary paperwork when he gets there.

  11. Hello Everyone,

I need this question answered by couples who had their interview at the Lagos Consulate, did you have any problem using the new I-134 form which does not require it to be notarized? I just got the email from the consulate and the after downloading the forms, i see there is a place for where a notarized signature is required. Should I send the consulate an email indicating the new format or do i just get the forms notarized and send to my SO? I am confused!

  12. My Package was sent to the embassy according to DOS on August 26, I called September 4th to find out if the embassy have gotten it after tracking it on DHL website and I did see it was received on August 31st, I was it's not on Lagos Consulate's record yet, I called back, i have emailed them a couple of times still nothing so you are your SO might have to wait a while because our consulate is one of the slow ones and according to what i heard they are working on DV Lottery interviews right now hence the delay. Just keep praying all will be well.

How did you track your package, did you ask NVC for DHL tracking #?

You have to go on DHL website and track by Reference, enter EXP 12 SEP 2009A (adjust using dates just before the date NVC told you), with a shipping range of that day to a few days later Sep 14 - Sept 15 works for the example above. Look for shipments to Lagos embassy. Hope you understand?
