No problem!  there was a lady who had the interview time at 8:30, she wasn’t done until 12noon. So i would say averaging 3 hours, might take longer for some....

my appt was at 7:55 Am on aug 20 and it was a combo interview and i was out of the building at 8:30 AM. it just depends on the IO and your case. i got the approval today at 4am

  2. i had my combo interview yesterday at atlanta field office. arrived at 7:30 Am for 7:55 Appt time and the IO called me and my wife at 8:10 AM. he was very nice and genuine. when i told him about the combo interview, at first he couldnt find the i 751 file even though it was on his desk. then he went to his supervisor to ask him if he could conduct them both and he said ok, so he called my wife to his office from the waiting room and asked us basic questions like how did we meet, what are our birthdays, phone numbers. overall it was a very pleasant experience. then he moved to the n 400 test and my wife was in the office while took the test. after i passed everything he said he couldnt approve it on the spot but he will approve it by the end of the week. i woke up this morning to an email from uscis that my 10year green card was ordered for production. i applied for 751 in dec 2017 and n400 in dec 2018

They took my green card when they stamped my passport.  If ultimate goal to get citizenship, better to apply instead of waiting.  In my case I-751 (Nov 2017), N-400 ( Nov 2018).  Interview N-400 ( June 28, 2019), both I-751 and N-400 approved July 3, 2019.  Oath July 15, 2019.  Passport July 24, 2019.  Done with USCIS

did u  expedite the process for your passport or does it normally take 10 days to get your passport

Just take latest 3 months of bank statements and 2018 tax transcript.  I-751 is to prove genuine marriage and N-400 with more updated documents  indirectly proves that your have all the intention to be together.  So relax and you will be fine.  N-400  in my opinion is the most easy stage of the long immigration journey, if your records are clean and you answer everything honestly.

    ok thank you

I took the latest bank statements ( last three months) ,  2018 tax transcript, latest medical card, latest payment of car insurance.    But, IO did not ask for any documents during N-400 interview and did not see any original either.

so i dont need to take everything from the time i filed my i 751 to current month documents which is almost 19 months of documents

Go for N-400 interview with your spouse and take latest documents which you believe you will add to I-751.  IO office might take N-400 interview and might approve I-751 at the background, but sure to ask at the end of N-400 interview whether local office or IO receives your I-751 file.

If he conducts joint interview, you are all set.  In my case, only N-400 interview and at the end when I asked about I-751 , IO asked, is your spouse with you.  I said yes.  He told me that he will review my I-751 file.  Interview was June 28, 2019, both I-751 and N-400 were approved on July 3, 2019.  Oath July 15, 2019.

what other documents did u take to add to i 751file

  7. hey everybody i went to atlanta field office to get a 551 stamp on my passport because of my expiring 18 month extension letter and the IO said that they are roughly working on sept 2018 cases for n 400 and because im a dec 2018 filer that i should hear something from them within the next 90 days regarding interview date. hope this info helps somebody. i cant wait to be finished with USCIS.
