Thank you for letting me know. One more question. Im expecting my interview soon but my passport is expired. I have first passport (with initial immigrant stamp) and 2nd passport (which recently expired). I haven’t applied for renewal in embassy yet because of covid. Should i be worried? OR are expired passports enough?

    thank you.

They are asking for all the passport you have used for traveling . To verify the countries and dates you have mentioned in the N400 is correct.

During the interview she asked me specifically about each country I have visited. In one trip I visited 5 countries she wants to know list of all 5 countries.

If  passport is expired it doesn’t matter. They are not asking for valid country passport

congratulations. I filed in October 19’ but I haven’t heard anything in terms of interview.

also, they asked for passports? Of your home-country? Thats the first time im hearing of them asking passports. Thought they only asked drivers license and greencard

Actually they require all home country passports you have used since the first immigrant visa till your interview. My interviewers took both passports of me  with green card and driver’s license. She also did some photo copies as well  of passport after the interviews.

    Congratulations.

Did you have to take any tax paper work? I am just thinking what all documents are needed. Was planning to take my passport, GC and marriage certificate (due to change of last name)

Also good pointer to write all the dates of travel for previous years.

Yes I had all the taxes papers with me also the tax return for 2019. I think it’s better to take all the documents. Officer just asked me about if I have any outstanding dues for IRS or NJ state.

The officer also asked me about the 2 years Conditional green card I told her it was taken away by the USCIS office when they stamped the passport for one year.

Most important don’t forget to take the current green card it’s a must for oath ceremony.

  4. The Department of Homeland Security has temporarily closed a U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services field office in Seattle after it emerged that an employee visited a nursing home in the area where four residents have died of the new coronavirus.

The employee "started exhibiting flu-like symptoms four days after visiting the nursing home in Kirkland, Washington," Acting Deputy DHS Secretary Ken Cuccinelli said Tuesday in a series of tweets, adding that the employee "had been coming to work in the intervening days between the possible exposure" on February 22 and when they started feeling ill four days later.

Cuccinelli said as soon as the employee learned about the outbreak at the King County nursing home they had visited, their family "self-quarantined and alerted employers and other relevant officials."

(1/x) Late yesterday, DHS learned that an employee at the @USCIS Seattle Field Office started exhibiting flu-like symptoms four days after visiting the nursing home in Kirkland, Washington that has seen numerous COVID-19 cases.

Thank you for the update. I have also applied for N400 in  June i am still waiting for the interview. My local office is Newark .

I think Mount Laurel processing time wait  is way shorter than Newark office.

I need your help .Today i called the USCIS for the expedite i was told i need to pick the option myself out of four. I told them about the federal job pending i don't know which option to click. Financial loss for net getting the job  or Compelling U.S. government interests.

    I applied on a 5year basis.
we just went over the application and the Yes/No question

he asked me 6 civic questions

he asked me to read “who was George Washington?”

and then I had To write the answer “George Washington was the first President”

and I passed. Just had to wait like 30 min before getting my oath ticket because I asked to change my legal name which trigger a little extra security screening at the end.

now I’m just waiting for the ceremony, which will be in like 2 hours, I don’t care about the wait, I just want to go home as a Citizen and celebrate this long journey :)

    Thank you.Once again congratulations

It was employment related. A pending federal job that required US citizenship as condition for employment but before I even got a chance to follow through with the docs they requested, I already got the interview schedule notice. Interview is Feb 25 at the Mount Laurel, NJ field office

Just need your suggestion. I am interested in applying for one federal job that's required US citizenship. Do you think Immigration can expedite my N-400 application process on that basis. I can print the requirement for that  job the person has be be US citizen. Thank you
