Awesome! We received ours on June 11. Fees are paid, and able to complete AoS and application, but waiting for IRS to send husband's passport back before we can upload our civil documents. So we are at a standstill.

Oh, wow! It's nice hearing back from you again. I was practically waiting to hear from NVC before coming on here again. And just this morning, I received an email with my case number and invoice ID before I saw your message, the moment I came back here to update my account. About the fees: I understand both fees cannot be paid same time. So how soon we can pay the IV fee, as soon as the AOS fee is paid? What about the documents you have to provide from your end, has that been confirmed by NVC? When you said you are waiting for IRS to send your husband's passport, I didn't understand what you meant exactly. Can you please explain? Reply soon. 

Sorry for the delay in response. I haven't been on here much as we're at a waiting point again. We were able to pay both the IV and AOS fee on the same day, they just had to be paid separately. When I filed my tax return for 2018, I filed jointly with my husband. In order for me to include him on the tax return, he needed a Tax ID Number (it's like a Social Security Number but for people who are not eligible for one). In order to get a Tax ID Number, the IRS needed to see his original passport to prove identity and residency in Nigeria. We sent it in. They actually have processed, so we should be receiving his passport soon I'm hoping. I've been told that he will need his passport to get the police certificate, so those are the only other documents we haven't collected to submit.
