I have Interview on the 11 , applied middle of September. I wonder how long  would I have to wait for oath.. traveling outside the country on March 5th 😕

Difficult to predict interview date, but many had their Oath Ceremony 2-3 weeks after the interview. At any rate, you can inform your interviewing officer with your travel dates, and they typically accommodate you and take your travel in consideration when scheduling the Oath Ceremony date. We had also travel plan and the interviewing officer was very understanding. Do not worry.

Am confuse about the case status

1 website said interview schedule on 27jan2020 wait for original interview letter for interview date

2 website said waiting time 7month

    I applied N400 jun18,2019 Houston TX

Please guide me if anyone in same situation thanks

The two webiste do not get updated at the same moment. Your interview was scheduled today, but the date of interview will be visible to you only when they post the letter sent to you under the tab of “Documents”.  This typically takes 2-3 days. You will get the physical letter by mail few days later. The “Waiting Time”  is a very generic guess about when all can end with the Oath Ceremony. It is always, or most of the time much over estimate time of what happen in real life. most likely you will get to your Oath Ceremony before the estimated 7 months.

Thank you so much for the quick response. I appreciate it.
Should I be worried about anything in regards to interview, everything is in order but the only thing is I’m currently unemployed because I’m studying for boards in order to practice medicine here. I have all the evidence of how I’m registered with United States medical licensing exam. Will that be a problem for me?

    TIA 😊

Being unemployed is not an issue. Has nothing to do with nationalization process. Do not worry. Good luck with your board.

Just got an email this morning that my interview has been scheduled!! Hopefully it will be after April since my baby is due in 3 weeks.

What documents do we need to bring to the interview? Based on the USCIS website, we only need to bring GC, interview letter and another form of iD.

Take with you all original document you uploaded online when submitting N-400. Interviewing Officers vary. Some would not look at any of them. Some like in our case looked at each and every one of them.

  6. Journey completed today January 21 2020, by Oath Ceremony at Atlanta USCIS office. Appointment was at 12:25 pm, but Ceremony did not start till 2 pm lasting less than 30 minutes. After Ceremony you can register immediately to vote on the first floor, then return to Ceremony room to take pictures if you like.

Had submitted N-400 on June 5th 2019 online. Interview was on November 13 2019 at local Atlanta office.

Oh man! Including bank statements? :(

In our case, the officer looked at bank statements too. These were downloaded online. Did not ask for original from bank directly. I assume it varies. Some officers may not look at everything. Others do. Read the notification letter. As I recall ours close to bottom clearly stated that all uploaded documents need to be brought in.

    Hi guys

I got my interview scheduled finally, yay!

I have a question: do I have to bring EVERY DOCUMENT I have submitted to my online form to the interview? Or what documents should I bring to the interview?

    Thanks guys!

    Henry

As I recall, the notification letter asks you to bring all the documents you uploaded online. The originals. During interview in Atlanta, the officer looked at them.

If your wife American citizen by birth, and is written in her passport that her birthplace is in USA, then my guess her passport is adequate proof of citizenship, otherwise if she was naturalized, they probably want to see the original Naturalization certificate.

    thank you,

If you lose your Certificate of Naturalization, you may request a replacement by filing Form N-565, Application for Replacement Naturalization/Citizenship Document. The fee to file this form is $555.

Congratulations! Same day as yours and please send a shout out when you get your schedule. We might end up on the same day for this oath ceremony.

Heard nothing yet. I was told most others got notified about date of ceremony within 48 hours of passing interview. Due to travel plan, a delay in ceremony date was requested. Asked to have ceremony scheduled after December 26. Will be out of country till then.

Has your ceremony been scheduled yet? Got any message about date from USCIS?
