    hi all

dose anyone now what is different between "Estimated case completion time"  and  estimated wait ? on online n400 case status

    thank you

Estimated wait, is typically wait till Biometrics appointmnet, usually less than 30 days. "Estimated case completion time" is time till case completed. i.e time to interview/Swearing ceremony if approved.

    mine was July 1, (Monday)

have you read somewhere or do you have any idea what is the timeline between biometrics and interview schedule... I am planning to take vacation in between if possible..

It depends on your local office, and it may vary between 3 and 12 months  if you go to your account online you see an "Estimated completion time" next to it it give you an estimate (Month and year)

thank you, yes I am applying based on marriage , what king of supportive document ,  I got marriage certi, joint lease, joint bank account , joint tax return last 3yrs , is this enough , and also how far joint bank account do I have to send   , please let me know thank you

I am not an expert, but my guess what you listed should be adequate. I belive they also need evidence that your spouse is American citizen.

My question is if its possible can I go around early @9-10 am for fingerprints, are they accept me befor my appointment time ? Please  share your experiences thanks

Typically they accept walk-in before scheduled appointment. Waiting time at processing office is  usually very short. No problem.

I also filed on June 16 and today I received the physical receipt in the mail, probably the Biometrics Appointment will follow shortly, on the case status mine says Estimated Completion Time October 2020 and then below that Estimated Wait Time 29 Days as of today....I think that one relates to the Biometrics Appointment.

    What yours says?

Have either of you seen notice of Biometric appointment scheduled? Typically 2 days later you see letter with time of appointment under “Documents” tab

I do not think so. The rules as I understand them you can not be out of the country for more than half of your legal residence time. For 3 years the cut off would be 180 days. Far above your number.

    Continuous Residence

Applicants are required to show that they have:

    • Resided continuously in the U.S. for five years before applying, (see legal basis), or
    • Resided continuously in the U.S. for three years in the case of qualified spouses of U.S. citizens, (see legal basis

“Continuous residence” means that the applicant has maintained residence within the United States for the required period of time shown above.

Extended absences outside of the U.S. may disrupt an applicant’s continuous residence.

    Physical Presence

Applicants are required to show that they were:

    • Physically present in the U.S. for thirty months within the five year period before applying, or (see legal basis)
    • Physically present in the U.S. for eighteen months within the three year period before applying in the case of qualified spouses of U.S. citizens (see legal basis)

In addition, applicants are required to show they have resided for at least three months immediately preceding the filing of Form N-400 in the USCIS district or state where the applicant claims to have residency (See 8 CFR §316.2(a)(5) & §319.1(a)(5)).

    A. Physical Presence Requirement

An applicant for naturalization is generally required to have been physically present in the United States for at least half the time for which his or her continuous residence is required. Applicants for naturalization under INA 316(a) are required to demonstrate physical presence in the United States for at least 30 months (at least 913 days) before filing the application. [1]

Physical presence refers to the number of days the applicant must physically be present in the United States during the statutory period up to the date of filing for naturalization. The continuous residence [2] and physical presence requirements are interrelated but each must be satisfied for naturalization.

USCIS will count the day that an applicant departs from the United States and the day he or she returns as days of physical presence within the United States for naturalization purposes. [3]

    Hi everyone!

i just applied my N400 online (while my I-751 is pending) last June 17.

I attached a scanned copy of my greencard as an evidence but I forgot to attached a copy of my green card extension letter.

Would it affect my application in anyway?

    Thank you

My guess, no. If they needed it before the interview they would send you request for evidence. But the simplest solution is to log on to your account, click on tab “Documents” then upload it instead of waiting. You can always upload more documents from this tab. Try it.

We are above 5 years so I suppose some documents were not asked from us. Thanks.

I do not think the time passed matter., If you are applying based on marriage ( 3 years minimum since marriage or longer )  you will need to submit evidence related to your marriage. If applying based on other reason, my guess USCIS would  not care about your marriage.

First time posting in this thread. We had are biometrics this morning so we are one step closer.

I have seen many of you posting that you are uploading bank statements and tax returns etc. None of those were required when I filled out the "online" form through USCIS. Completed the required questions, paid the fee and submitted everything. Within 48 hours received confirmation that it had been accepted. 10 days letter received our appointment letter for biometrics which were finished this morning. To this day no request for the documents that you are saying you submitted.

Can anyone shed some light on this because I don't have an answer to what the difference is.

Applicants typically upload bank statements and tax return etc as part of evidence about marriage if applying under 3 years rule

citizenship form online date expires 3/31/2019 is this the right form to apply? How do i send green card copy with the form online? help

If you log to your account on https://my.uscis.gov/  and click on" File Form Online" and choose N-400 it should automatically choose the most recent version of the form. While filling the form you will be instructed to upload related document. You can upload any file you needed in any format like JPG, or PDF. You can upload to 5 documents at a time. There is a size limit. My recollection the size of each file should be less than 6 MB, but it could be 2 MB. I had no problem uploading many files
