Sent in our packet last week on the first day of eligibility, it was received the day after, and I just received a text saying my case was received.

It’s getting processed at the Texas Service Center, which has a wait time of 6-9.5 months which is a lot faster than expected so fingers crossed!

hello AOSFairfax don't know if you still remember me, we applied and got green card around the same time for our I-485. Now I'm joining the party for I-751. Just mailed my package today. Finger crossed.

  2. Hello guys sorry for late update I'm being busy for the past days. Our interview went pretty smoothly on February 20, 2020. It only took around 20 mins. I think it didn't take long because me and my hubby prepared a lot of documents for our evidence.  IO didn't even check our original documents but he went through our photo album page by page. Some interview questions: Name of both parents?  our DOB? How you guys meet? When you guys travel together first time(specific time)? Go over the I-485 Form and Yes/No questions with me and go over I-130 Form with my hubby. Once we finished our interview we were approved on spot, the IO said he will review and update our status on that day. After 5 mins we walked out the office, our online statues changed to New Card is being produced. YEHHHH!  Then on the February 21, 2020 the status changed to Case was approved as well as I-130. On February 27, 2020, I physically received my gc on hand.  See you guys 1 year and 9 months when I need to fill my ROC~~

Washington DC Field Office (Fairfax, VA)

    PD: March 4, 2019.

GC on hand: February 27, 2020.

I want to say that when I checked the processing time before it shows 11.5 months so it's pretty accurate for my case. Hope all you guys will get your gc soon. 🙏

Thank you and yes I’ll definitely update with our interview experience! Wish you the best of luck and a speedy process. I will say that the website says 11.5 months wait time and that’s almost exactly what it’ll be for us so I’d say it’s pretty accurate..

Exactly that's what i feel too. 11.5 months is pretty accurate right now.😆

Did you have the actual interview date yet? AOSFairfax

  4. Hello everyone. I submitted I-485 package to USCIS around March 2019 without submitting Medical Form I-693. Then i received a courtesy letter for the Form I-693.  So I went to get my medical done and got my sealed I-693 Form from civil surgeon around April to May 2019. Currently I have an interview coming up next month Feb 2020, do i still have to redo the medical? Or is it still valid for two years? Please provide any advise. Thank you.

Ughhh I know I don’t understand how they’re so slow... my only hope is that we’re approaching that 11.5 month mark at this point which hopefully brings some good news. When we first started this process I really didn’t think Fairfax was going to be this bad. A friend of mine that filed in 2018 got her gc within 3 months but now I realize that was an exception

Although my husband and I have only been married about a year and since we made it this far I’m starting to think that at this point we might as well just wait for another year so we don’t have to deal with ROC 😂😅 Just kidding of course as we’d much rather receive my gc sooner but trying to stay positive here

That's true. Really need to stay positive and pray.🙏

Hey! can't wait to start hearing about some interview dates for us Feb / March filers. We've been ready to be scheduled since early April 2019 and filed in March 2019. Wishing us both good luck!! It would be quite the holiday gift if we got a notification soon

Our PD is March 4, 2019 same Fairfax Field Office. Still waiting for the interview to be scheduled. I don't know why this area is sooooo slow. And the official website site shows that the current processing time for this field office is between 11.5 months to 22.5 months. 😢

  7. Hello guys. I have a question about my I-485 (F1 married to USC), originally my case status shows that, "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview As of April 14, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC1990xxxxx, for an interview. We will schedule your interview and send you a notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

However, I checked my case status today, it's still shows that the Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview; but the date updated to As of July 26, 2019, we are ready to schedule your Form I-485......Is this mean USCIS currently working on my case or is this just normal process? Will I get interview notice soon? Really appreciate for any response. Thank you.

FYI: Any Washington D.C. filler please feel free to join to share your current timeline.

I'm in SoCal. We also wanted to move to a new apartment by the fall because we hate to live in this complex but I told my husband that let's sing another 6 months lease because of the AOS. I saw that on the September and October thread many people were complaining about the address change made their case slower...

:( we have no choice because our current lease will ends in end of July and the rent goes up like crazy since it's a luxury apartment. And our apartment only can renew the lease for one year. We are in a uncomfortable spot right now because we don't know when we will receive our interview notice.  Just hope this transition will be smooth.

Hey there! I came across this VJ tool:

    https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aoslist.php?cfl=0&op1=2&op2=&op3=&op4=1&op5=5,6,8,9,10,11&op6=&op8=Washington DC&xfr=&vtype=0&interview=

based on that, it looks like as of March our DC field office was having interviews for late August / early September filers, which gives you a better idea of processing times. Empirically, it seems that Dec - Feb are USCIS' less busy months which hopefully means they are starting to catch up on cases. Fingers crossed that means we'll get our interview around late summer / early fall then? but who knows lol

Hopefully our local field office can catch up the case and speed up our interviews. Anyway I do have one question for you. My wife and I will move to different apartment in the end of July but we will still live within Fairfax County. Do you think the changing address will delay my processing time?

great to have another VA filer around!! I'm not too sure honestly as I haven't seen many DC field office filers around or the ones I've seen are still waiting to be scheduled since March / April of this year. From personal experience, I know someone who filed in our office and got their gc within 4 months but I also have a friend who filed in August and is still waiting. I would say that the more "straightforward" the case is, the quicker it seems to get scheduled.

There's also this thread, it's mostly Baltimore filers but there's some DC/NoVA filers too. Hope it helps!

Thank you so much for the detailed information AOSFairfax. If you have any good news, please share with me. Hope we all can get interview soon. 🙏
