I get my interviewed on 7:55 Am Tukwila/Seattle office and I got call in on time and was done likes 20 minutes. I left went to have breakfast with my husband , then come back for oath ceremony at 1:30 and done at 3PM so by then I am officially citizen.
They have 2 oath ceremony a day 8:30 and 1:30.
Yes after interview you can leave and come back for oath ceremony .
I heard if you get junior officer then she/he can not approve the same time so you have to wait again for the decision and oath ceremony shcedule.

They wont take away your green card after the interview until the oath. So the easiest option is to ask them not to schedule you for same-day oath. You won't be a US citizen until you finish the oath. And the thing is that same-day oath is never guaranteed, so don't plan for that. You can do the oath once you come back.
If I were you , I will wait till everything finished, you almost done. I strongly suggestion you NOT to reschedule oath ceremony.
Seattle so super backlog, it might be will take you for long long time to get schedule for oath ceremony.
dealing with USCIS never been easy, faster you can get it done better rather than later. Best wishes

Good luck to you all!!!

Hi All,
I had totally forgotten about this discussion forum from filing for my husband's green card back in 2005. So helpful with all the discussion threads!
We filed his N-400 application November 2018. Saturday, we received notification his interview has been scheduled for January 6, 2020 at 2:10 pm at the Seattle office. I have seen multiple threads with different timings for the oath ceremony, does anybody know the actual schedule? I am afraid he is too late in the date to have the same day oath ceremony. Not sure what I was thinking but scheduled a trip to Mexico the end of February and now totally bummed that we may have to cancel the trip pending getting a US passport and eat the cancellation non refundable fees.
Anybody have any info on this?
Thanks to anybody with updated info in advance!
Hi
may I know what dated in November 2018 your husband filed N400? I filed on 09 November 2018 but still has no update at all, thanks

Hi All,
I am new in this forum and i would like to have some help here and find some comfort.
I filed my n400 online on Feb 2019 and my case got transferred early june. I live in the east side..i would assume my case got transfered to yakima...
Since the case tranfer my estimated time has been "your case is taking longer than expected.."..
Any filers here that got their case transfered to Yakima? anyone got scheduled for interview?
Thanks all
Hi may I ask you what is your estimated completion time? There 2 differences completion and wait time, I guess your wait time stated taking longer than expected.
Mine from Renton since November 2018 my estimated wait time is 7 days.

So my package got rejected because they couldn't process my payment with the credit card although I did provide the form. I then re-applied online (Monday the 25th) and got my NOA the very next day. My est. wait time is now February 2021.. my God Seattle is so behind :-
Depends on where you lives, if you lives in Federalway, Tacoma more likely they are going to transfer your case to Portland , Oregon and will be way faster only 6 months. Or if you lives in eastern side will transfer yo Yakima and way faster like 3 months. But if you lives in Seattle then will be longest wait from entire nation☹️.

Well we are close. Jan or Feb, we are right around the corner. Don't stress yourselves over something you have no control over. It's literally useless. That mail is gonna arrive when it's gonna arrive.
Hello Py6
thank you for your very positive support/kindness words, happy thanksgiving 🦃 . I trying my best to not stressing out, but its so hard , now I know how it feels from last year November filers. So unfortunately Seattle now as slowest in nation wide😢. Even NYC , Texas used to be longest wait but not anymore, they are moving faster likes November 2018 filers from NYC already done interviewed in October 2019.

I already received my interview notice for interview at December first week. In my case I received the notice in my online account after about a weeks from the day that my counter became zero. During that weeks it was showing we are taking longer than expected to process your case message.

Happy Thanksgiving too.
I still have 1 month wait time prior to my scheduled interview. So it’s just about right with 15 months estimated waiting time. Though I noticed it’s not the same with other applicants.
Mine as now it says estimated completion time 2 months January 2020
but estimated wait time 18 days.
I am wondering whether I will get my scheduled for interview when my wait time going down to 0 day.
I know they give you 1 month in advance till interview dated.
was your estimated completion time December 2019? Did you get your notifications for interview after your wait time down to 0 day?
thank you again

It’s very unfortunate the Seattle Office is one of the slowest. We have all our sentiments and yes waiting for the unknown is very frustrating.
When I started my immigration journey from K1, AOS and now Citizenship, I already set my mind that I will not waste my energy and stress myself on something that I cannot control. A friend of mine shared this quote “Less expectation - Less frustration”.
When I filed Citizenship last year October 2018) and my estimated wait time was 15 months. I stopped thinking about it, I never expect or hope that I’m going to hear sooner. I’m quite surprised that I received a schedule for my interview. And the date is not quite favorable because I have travel plans the next few days after my interview. Again I don’t stress myself because I can only make my decisions whether I can travel or cancel after the interview.
The saying “Patience is virtue” is so true and that’s all what we need now. Unmeasurable patience❤️.
cheers,
Hello Happy Thanksgiving
thank you for your sharing, may I ask what is your estimated completion time as now? Did you get your scheduled interview when your wait time went down to zero day ? Thanks agaian

Both me and my spouse filed N400 June 26 2018
Finger Printed July 8 2018
Interview October 7 2019
Oath October 30 2019
Seattle office
Dramamine dreams!
Wowww it took 13 months, when did you get notified for the scheduled interview? September? Just wondering did you ask IO why Seattle still move super slow compare to other large immigrants states like Texas or California and New York? Thanks and congratulations

Mine says "Estimated case completion: February 2020 (4 months). Estimated wait time: 3 months".
I filed the N-400 around October 20, 2018.
It keeps going down at the beginning of the month.
The I-751 keeps saying the same thing: "On December..2018, we transferred your case and a new office has jurisdiction"
Nothing new under the sun.
What’s going on with Seattle, seems like we are the longest waiting for the interview from entire nation. Texas, NYC, California and Arizona used to be longer than Washington but anymore. Is every OI quits? 😢

When I applied last year it was 14 - 16 months in Seattle. Now 16 to 20 months. Well just kill me.
My co-worker who filed N400 in March 2019 from Federal Way and already got scheduled for the interview at Portland, Oregon in October 2019, so his timeline only 7 months total. I filed in November 2018 from Renton still hear nothing at all. Apparently USCIS skips line for some applicants.
