I travelled to the US with my husband after our marriage. We were informed that I could travel on my tourist visa ........arrived in the US and was sent back immediately! Had to do the 'application for admission withdrawn' thingy. Have a I 130 and K3 pending currently. My question is whether this will affect my visa application negatively in any way? I have looked up the definition of this term -"an arriving aliens voluntary retraction of an application for admission to the US in lieu of removal hearing before an immigration judge or an expedited removal. Withdrawels are not included in non immigrant admission data" Further more will there be any other docmentation to be completed. I had an return ticket which was just changed, so it was at no cost to the US...
VERY CONFUSED. Anybody out there who can help?
hi lubezee
you might be gettng the interveiw call soon as of march soon
dont worry 'n keeping fingers crossed hope everyone gets it soon ...

should i mention again that in germany you only have to go to the "ausländerbehörde" where they process the visa things, wait some time (depending on how many people are there that day) and then they put a visa sticker in the passport which allowes to live and work in germany for three years...
Yea, I've gotten two visas in Germany (one as a high school foreign exchange student and once as a college exchange student) and both times the process was very simple. The second time was a little more painful because I was doing it in Berlin and the stupid bureaucrats lost my file and then the one I was dealing with seemed to think none of my paperwork was good enough (telling me I had to have my parents' passport there so they could verify their signature on their letter of financial support was valid! And hten that the letter had to be in German because he didn't speak English...but my parents don't speak German!) But I got it anyway
If it takes a while to get this visa, I'll take a leave of absence from work and go live in Finland for a while. As i'm married to a Finn, I can get automatic permanent residency. All I have to do is go to the police where my husband lives and fill out a form and they'll set me up
Only problem: I don't speak finnish and my degree isn't high enough to get me a job there
GEIST
germany seems to be better again in visa matters
congrats for your visas:)

Most of the petitioner's petitions get transferred to California Service Center except for the eastern part of the US stays at Vermont Service Center. Plus, it depends on if your fiance will file petition right away. K-1 route usually between 6-9 months, K-3 around the same or more and CR route around 12 to 14 months.Hi. This is a really nice site. I've been looking at the Processing Times and Timelines for the K visas. It seems to me that the times for each are about the same and what really makes the difference is the time of application, the fiance's country and to which service center it is sent to. Am I right? If so, would it be just as well to marry in the fiance's country? It won't take much longer, would it? I think marrying first would be nicer. What state does your fiance live in?
oh my god were you really sure that cr-1 route takes 12-14 months
thats terrible to hear that mine 6 months have passed already we havent filed for k-3 route do u suggest that i should now go for a k-3 route when already 6 monhts have passed by ..

Wow can't believe that the LETTER arrived today our interview date is March 21/07. Not sure what to expect as its in Vancouver BC Canada. I've learned over the past months not to get my hopes up to high as things seem to change at the last minute & the results are not as I think they should be.
I thought the envelope was going to be some fancy formal letter and it wasn't even signed. Looked like a generic preformed letter guess it saddens me that they are still using my piror name and not my married name. The lawyer seems to tell me it's Okay but I still feel sick that its always wrong. maybe I'm just thinking to much.
Good luck for a successful interview.

She may still be turned away at the POE and denied entry. She may not. None of us here have any way of knowing what will happen.
*legally* she should be allowed to visit the US if she has the tourist visa. However, now her situation has changed and she's married to a USC, which makes her ties to home country less tenuous than her ties to the US.
If you don't mind losing the airfare cost, have her bring along lots and lots of proof of ties to Poland. Like a letter from her employer stating she is on approved vacation leave and expected back on a specific date. Copies of her mortgage or rental agreement on her home...anything that will "prove" she must return to Poland.
Still, all of that is no guarantee they will allow her to enter the US.
thats true reba thr is no guarentee
thts why i am not travelling to us with a visitors visa
despite i have an important exam coming along
its so sick
sometimes it feels like they r ruining career
n sometimes i feel like it was better not to be married n get stuck like this n wasting my entire one year

germany is getting more and more PROs on my list... too sad hubby is always so negative when im asking him to move here.
even germany seems to have improved than the us in visa matters your hubby will realise soon whn tired of waiting
-
I'm getting really antsy. I want something to finally start moving in my case.
Welcome the waiting game is on everywhere . .. and I too am not really expecting a reply until the end of March april the way they are moving slow .. and its really hard to be patient .. i just keep myself bit calm seeing rest of people waiting like me

Our I130 petition has been with the CSC since Sept 2006 and our I129F has been there since Oct 2006.
Just pending-no touching, no nothing!
My husband phoned his senator as we are nearing the 180 day mark, but was told to call once we hit it!
Hopefully everybody who has been waiting so long will be approved soon. Or I'll be old and gray by the time I get to my husband!
i hope i dont get tht old tht my husband starts making girlfrnds
sob sob
dunno lubezee why they keep spouses apart
-
Well I hope we've all learned the valuable lesson that you don't get anywhere calling VSC (if I weren't so nice I'd say I told you so LOL). PLEASE friends, as I had suggested a while ago, once you hit the 180 days mark go to your Senator. Don't call VSC, it's a waste of your time. Niagara, don't worry about what they told you-just contact the Senator and let them deal with it. To the rest of us-our day is coming in NO TIME! Get those privacy release forms filled out LOL!
What do you think if it 180 working days?
hey nyc girl if u were told march then i should expect even more time coz i applied 1 month and few days after you for i-130
aww its so siccccccccccck
they r even slower than the developing nations

I applied for I-130 09/21/06 and received my NOA1 on the 9/27/06 for my wife.....so far there was few date changes in the web site. So I finally called them today the 1/31/07 and they said that, they need more info and they send a mail on 1/25/07 but I did not see anything on the web site about them needing any more information.......did anyone have to go through this situation. does that mean I have to wait another 3 more months for my approvals
hey dont worry i with almost similar to your situation n i am frm india too ..
dunno about this sick delay
i pray n i hope the waiting will end soon ..

I was reading the previous post about a name change. I have no wish to change my name when I marry. Will this be a problem or perceived as a red flag when we pursue the Green Card?
(my reason for not changing my name- I've worked hard to become accomplished, and plan to publish, and earn a doctorate- the name change is against everything I believe about the status of women)
i admire you if u can do tht ..
n lemme know if its possible it just seems great to retain the name
best of luck phila

hello everyone....my wife sent the I-130 and we are waiting for the approval. my question is as follows:
if we want to pursue the I-130 as opposed to the K3, are we obliged to send the form I-129F too ....or no need
to send 1-129f as we decide to pursue I-130 ?
THANKS FOR ANY SUGGESTION
hello hath ,
even i am in your same boat
if u dont want k-3 no need to send i-129f
i-130 is enough if you guys can wait like us ..

What reason do they give you when you call them? Seems almost like you're going through some type of security checks, which can happen I guess at any point in the process. There are other people who have been stuck at the same point and that is the reason for it. Historically though Vermont is the fastest service center to deal with. Good luck.
ok thx for the info yaar i will call them on monday ..

Yeah. The waiting part is stressful. Not to mention when all of sudden my mind is attacked by negative thoughts, mostly at nights. That's why I get sleep deprivation problem and a bit hair loss. I hope I would still have my hair attached once this process is done. My process is not even that complicated yet like others here. But still stressful is stressful.
i think i too have lost lot of hair i wasnt so sure why this is happening now i am so sure why i am loosing hair
dont worry buddy tough times wont last long

Me and my fiance had the same problem when filling out our G-325A. I downloaded an updated version of Adobe and all the + signs went away. But my fiance just hand wrote the information that was showing up with a + sign. Hopefully that will be okay, I guess we will find out! But I think its okay to hand write some of the information as long as its neat and legible!
Good luck
no idea about this + sign
heard it 1st time

kyle_lairic,
No. They need evidence that the relationship is bona fide, i.e. that it was not established for the purpose of avoiding immigration law.
If your phone bills help to prove that, submit them. If your phone bills do not help to prove that, or if you have plenty of other evidence that does prove that, forget the phone bills.
Yodrak
Hi everyone. I got a question. Do they really need the phone bill in the interview? ....i dontthink phone bills are so impt
these das phone cards n messengers r available hardly people use phone bills ,
no worries

Our petition for I 130 has a notice date of 2 Oct 2006, and our I 129F has a notice date of 16 October 2006 and is currently (still) at the California Service center.
Also still 'pending'
Nothing to do but wait, wait, wait. I am not a patient woman.
Good luck for an approval in the near future, hang in there!
ya lubzee i know
thr is no othr option
but yeahi had thought california centre was a faster one
do keep in touch n lemme know coz u n me same boat almost except the vermont n californa diffrnce
sure i let u know if anythng on my side

You have already had your I-130 in process for 5 months and the I-129F is generally filed after receiving the NOA1 for the I-130, as a faster path to a visa and being reunited with your spouse. This is not the case with yours as you have already let 5 months pass and IMO would be a waste of money as you should be looking at an approval on your I-130 soon.
ok thank you so much for this healthy advice .
any idea ?i am confused ?
