  1. doc_cute,

I understood your point, I sense that you've missed mine.

The mistake he made in the interview was failing to prove that he and his wife have a bona fide relationship. The burden of proof is on him to provide whatever evidence he wants that will be convincing. He failed to convince.

    Yodrak

yes i got your point what i meant was what mistakes he made in interview that such a thing was told was he falsely telling facts or he didnt have proof of communication

sorrry , yodrak i couldnt put my words that properly in previous post

    ok thanks ,

in that case i feel its best to hire an immi attorney and chaingang tell your wife to come to your your country and stay for sometime however busy she is to save your marriage

    also i feel Chaingang ,

should not worry and act now to save your marraige . hope that helps ,

    mala

  4. hello

i was sending my form of ds-230 to u.s to choice of agent

    had a doubt

my ex father divorced my mom long back and now in all my certificates he is not mentioned late including the passport but in my g-325 form my husb made me write late to his name

i want to remain consistent with his name as late in ds-230 form too but my question is that they ask the date when he died

can i just mention as UNKNOWN ?

will this create problem or should i write any date

    pls advice ,

  5. doc_cute,

He gave us the exact reason - first sentence first paragraph.

    Yodrak

hello all posting again , my visa was rejected on 28 march , saying that "you are unable to prove that ur relation with petitoner is not solely for the immigration to united states we are sending back ur case to NVC for further recommendations that it be revoked"

    .....

its worth if u take a good attorney

what was the exact reason for the visa denial ?

yes i got your point what i meant was what mistakes he made in interview that such a thing was told was he falsely telling facts or he didnt have proof of communication

sorrry , yodrak i couldnt put my words that properly in previous post

  6. hello all posting again , my visa was rejected on 28 march , saying that "you are unable to prove that ur relation with petitoner is not solely for the immigration to united states we are sending back ur case to NVC for further recommendations that it be revoked"

My case is received by NVC 2 days ago and they will forward case to ucsis and then my wife is going to get the letter from uscis for further extra supportive documents,

Here i am confused really alot My wife went to USCIS office on 2nd of april they told them we dont receive ur case it is going to sent to texas and texas dont have phone number i dont know is that true or not if some one has their number please share it by the way is it really true that they sent denial cases to texas,

2nd thing what should i do , i know i did mistakes in my interview , but it was mistakes and not mistakes my wife was not able to come to see me in 2 1/2 years coz she had to take care of 2 family memebers and both did 4 times heart surgery , that was main reason she was not able to see me in 2 1/2 years

i showed them proof she didnt accept it i dont know why

now what should i do , should i hire immigration attorney or my wife should give them proof of our marriage by herself what and which way is going to be safe for us , now my wife is able to come to see me , but is it good idea to come to pakistan with out getting reaffirmation from uscis or should she wait to get approval from them and then come to pakistan and spend some months with me and also go with me to interivew ,

I really need help i did talk some attoreny and they assured me that we will fix ur problem with in 4 to 8 weeks , so i need to know which way is safe way

I hope to hear from some one soon

its worth if u take a good attorney

what was the exact reason for the visa denial ?

  7. Hi guys,

I have read that for the IV Bill the NVC will not accept personal checks. What exactly are personal checks in comparison to certified checks?

I know that when we sent the I-130, my husband used a check from his US bank.. But I don't know if it it was a personal or certified check since I don't know the difference.

Also, for the AOS Fee Bill, what can be used there?

    Jasmin

my husband used money orders for the aos fee bill and also for my immigrant processing fee

dunno abt bank checks but money order helps for sure

  8. Hi

My friend is us citizen and he applied for her parents

The nvc sent the form ds-230 to her.

The problem is that she is out of USA right now

Can she download the form via internet, fill and send

    it?

Or it must be the original one to be filled?

    Thanks for your

yes sure thing she can use the state gov form and send it too nvc with the barcode generated sheet and biographic page of her passport

have a look at aussiewenchs previous posts what all other things she needs to send along based on the country requirements

    tk care,

  10. What's the shortest amount of time in which someone has gotten a visa through the I-130 process?

has it ever been done in say 4-5 months...from sending I-130 to visa-in-hand ?

    just curious

it entirely depends on the individual case, and service centre

csc at present is processsing faster than vermont have a look at their processing times in their official site

vsc is historically consider faster but again for cr-1 it has gotten slow

  11. Try emailing NVC... Our NOA2 was 2/28, I emailed them 3 days after and I was told that they just got our case and being entered into their system and then I tried again 3/9, they replied 3/14 informing me that our case was forwarded to Manila consulate. It's really hard to go through their phone lines, kind of frustrating, not to mention the phone charges... Maybe you should just wait for the snail mail from them... Ours received in the mail 2 weeks after the NOA2... Goodluck!

I tried emailing them yesterday but never got a response...but the good news is I finally got through last night!!!

congrats for getting it finally ,

    tc,

  12. The original birth certificates, police clearance and NBI must be originals and must be presented for the interview. Parts 1 and 2 of DS 230 are also submitted on the day of interview. Sign part 1, and then part 2 will be signed during the interview.

My wife told me that she signed the DS-230 part 2 in front of the PRE-INTERVIEWER and not the US consulate.... but it was still signed.... and then it was not brought up anyomore by the US Consulate.

    Hope this helps.

if she signed it in the embassy in front of pre interviewer i m sure it must do fine coz they must have done tht way to save time

i hope its not a thing to worry upon

  13. I am the petitioner... I am US citizen and my wife lives in Turkey...

I have received DS-230 form yesterday...

Who is going to fill DS-230 form and sign (Confused)?

As a petitioner should I fill the DS-230 and sign part I and fill part II (no signature) and send it to NVC?

One more question: It is not clear in the packet:

My wife (benificiary) is going to collect the documents, is she going to take them to interview or is going to mail to consulate?

    Thanks for your help...

have a look at how the visa processing goes at the national visa center through this flowchart it will help you

    http://www.visajourney.com/examples/NVC_Pr...wchart_v1-2.pdf

as for turkey ,When part I & II of the DS-230 is required as in the case of Turkey according the the NVC site, both parts I & II are REQUIRED to be submitted to the NVC along with all the documentation requested by NVC. Part I should be completed and signed, Part II should be completed and not signed.

  14. Hello fellow journeymen/women

The light at the end of the tunnel is sooo close that I can almost touch it. Alas, it looks like the Immigration gods are testing our will and paitents. My wife has been given an interview date for 4th of May, unfortunately she has a final exams in the first two weeks of May and there is no way she can postpone those either. So we'll have to try and reschedule the interview for later in May or it could get pushed out to June.

Anyone else been in a similar situation regardless of embassy? I'd like to know how flexiable the counsulates are at rescheduling interviews or whether they'll see this as a "red flag" of some sort.

Thanks.. and hang in there your time will come

    dev ,

u can just enquire from the embassy whether they can reschedule the interview and tell them your genuine cause

i hope thats possible otherwise just confirm it - before postponing date whether they cancel the date and give a new one ,

ensure this before postponing the date

  15. Hello Everyone

    Anyone help please!

What happens to the DS230 application.

When petetional submits the application(Signed by applicant) , Do petetionar or Agent ge it back after review?

or the NVC forwards it to embassy?

    Thanks

the form ds-230 is meant to be the beneficiarys biographic information

as soon as the nvc generates the iv processing fees of 380 dollar and the fee is accepted the nvc generated ds-230 packet and is send to the choice of agent the beneficiary selects

now the beneficiary fills up all the info in the form and sends it back to nvc

if the nvc doesnt need any rfe the case gets completed after the petioner also does his part of i-864 job,

have a look at the nvc shortcuts in this forum it will clear you doubts as too how the nvc processes the cases .

  18. Hello everyone, I've already recieved a bit of useful info on this site and have decided to make up for my bad manners by introducing myself and my other half properly.

My name is Amber, I'm 25, divorced with two young un's and my fiance is Jeremy, 28.

I'm English and he's American and we met via the wonder that is myspace!

We have been a couple for just over a year and my baby will be visiting me again in precisely 1 month and one day! Yay! After that I will be visiting him and hopefully getting married in June/July.

I would like to make some friends in similar circumstances with regards to their countries of origin/ planned destination so that we can moan about the ever grinding legalities of it all together and I would also like to thank everyone for the help they have already given me.

Thats me done, hope everyones doing well.

    x

    hello amber

    welcome to vj (F)

  19. Hiya!

I'm Kim and I live in the US. I work in Banking. My finace is Craig and he lives in the UK. He's an Analytical Chemist. We got engaged on December 23, 2006. We've been friends for going on 7 years now, I met him via an internet chatroom around 2000. Our friendship has grown and blossomed over the years. In the last 4 years we've visited each other 7 times. Soon to be 8 when I get over there again in April. Some delays along the path of our journey was my pending divorce. That took ages!!!

Anyway, we're really just starting our journey. I understand from reading that the best and worst is yet to come. I sorta delusionaly thought that getting married the hard part would be behind us. But now I see that the waiting on the government to approve various documents can take even longer!!!

He's giving up alot to be with me. A great career...I hope it doesn't take him to long to get back into his field here, but I know he's going to get frustrated if he can't work for too long!

I make well above the poverty level to hopefully be his sole sponsor, but I don't have lots of money in the bank. As a recently divorced woman who has joint custody of her one daugther and no child support at all...this is going to be a pain, but we'll deal. Please someone (anyone) tell me once he's here it's not as hard as some folks make it sound.

Does anyone know about how long it takes to at least get a temporary work visa??

Thanks so much and so far I'm loving this community. There are days this is the only thing that keeps me sane!!

Misery loves company...VJ is proof positive of that!!

Thanks for the help so far!!

    :clock: ,

    Kim

    welcome kim (F)

  20. Hi all

I waited till I get DS 3032 in mail, I am thinking I wasted time, I should have checked on phone whether

it has been generated or not. anyway it is too late...

Thanks all of you guys for help.

Can anyone please help me ? , how can I save time now.. I am waiting for (As I suppose)

    1) IV Visa fee bill

    &

    2) AOS/i-184 form., as I know about the process.

    Thanks

    Raja

but be careful raja if u dont know about barcode and not confident you will risk delaying the case at nvc stage so while doing that be sure u have adequate sureity

  21. we have been married for almost 2 years now and my wife was married twice and she got divorced she is an abuser but not phisicly i mean she is mean and she is mad all the time and iam not happy with her any more like before, everyday i try to save our marriage but yesterday we decided to get divorced but here is the deal

i have green card for 2 years i got it 5 months ago so after the divorce i will file I-751 alone here are the evidence that i have

    joint bank account

    joint car insurance

    one letter from a friend

    joint lease agreement

    joint electric bill

    tax return jointly

    2 bills in my name

    some pictures

thats all i have and in I-751 iam jut gonna check i entered into a marriage with a good faith but ended up with a divorce thats all ,but i have never read a post that shows somone in the same situation got approved iam really afraid that USCIS will deny my application, thanks a lot guys.

i think emotional abuse is the worsest of all the abuses

you should and you must record all the voice recording when she is abusing you thats important

hire a lawyer she can guide u much better coz its worthless to getting abused this way ,

i can only tell that start collecting maximum eveidences ,

tk care , i hope your scene gets better
