  1. Still waiting on any action or interview date for our case filed in January 2020; lived in New York and then moved to New Jersey (USCIS office is Newark); is anyone else on a similar time-frame with either of these offices? I called USCIS some weeks ago; they said my case is outside of expected processing times and that they'll send me an e-mail with an update; but nothing has happened yet

Make sure the new immigrant is covered by a health care plan within 30 days of arrival.

But it seems like they're gonna try to block people from entering before if they can't show they can afford health care. The requirements for financial support are 125 percent of poverty level...with this proclamation it will maybe go up a lot because I assume the immigrant can't use any aca tax credits

    Hello everyone!

My fiancée and I have been looking at this forum for a few months. She’s Iranian and has been put into administrative processing since March after her interview at Ankara’s U.S. Embassy.

It’s encouraging to see some of you already getting visas, we’re both eager to get her visa and start our lives together in America. So far we’ve only had updates when the embassy responds to our email inquiring about her visa.

I’d like to know if there’s been an automated system implemented in Ankara’s embassy, and if they know anyone that’s had their visa’s issued in Ankara?

It seems like other embassies have a higher rate of visa issuances that were on AP, but Ankara has a tendency to give them right away. I haven’t heard of many getting visas issued that are already in AP at Ankara’s embassy!

    Best wishes,

Were you asked to submit Form DS-5535?

  4. This is pretty big, court said government's argument that consular non-reviewability doctrine doesn't apply to waiver cases

The only bad news is that they didn't grant his preliminary injunction for Iranian plaintiffs, but the court says the case can proceed - this can be a potential nightmare for the government for a court to say that these cases can all be reviewed. Does anyone have any opinions?
