  1. Cool! And exciting! We just have to wait the 5-10 business days for the 2011 tax transcripts then we'll mail it off asap!!!

Im sure they just want to make sure our taxes are paid and that they arent getting put off or anything. For the past 3 years we owe just alittle bit so we have more money through out the year. Our taxes always get paid by April so last year was no different.

  2. RFE letter received today says: Examination of your N400 Application for Naturalization shows that certain additional information, documents or forms are needed before your application can be acted upon. Please return this letter with requested information and documents by August 29 2012.

Please submit IRS transcripts for 2011. If you have debt please submit a payment plan from the IRS with the amount owed and proof all payments or current. These documents must come from the IRS (Originals Only)

We called the IRS today & requested the 2011 tax transcripts plus I have the copy of the check that was cashed by the IRS back in April from what we owed for 2011. Does the tax transcripts show all paid because the lady from IRS verified we don't owe anything but I want to make sure that is all we need to submit from the IRS.

  3. Yes! Im curious to know about this too bcz in 2009, 2010 & 2011 we owed a little in taxes which got paid each time with a check but I didnt know to bring a copy of each check for hubby naturalization interview so we didnt and he was asked about it.... now we have a RFE after he was approved... I think maybe its from having receipts to show we paid at the time of interview. We shall see when we get the letter in the mail.

  4. I think it's either a glitch in their system bcz he was already told approved and that he'd get his oath letter OR they want to make sure we pay our taxes each year. I have all 3 years copy of checks that got cashed plus tax transcripts if needed. We just showed them the transcripts during his interview & didn't know to bring check copies. We shall see!

  5. Here is what the message from the USCIS website says

On July 30, 2012, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

Thats crazy how ya'll and my hubby got the same exact msg on the same day! Best wishes to both of us! :star:

Thank you - hopefully the RFE is something silly that I can respond to right away.

    Exactly!!!

  6. well, for sure I hope we are 1 step ahead now! I got 2009-2011 printed copies of checks cashed by the IRS so if thats what they want to see, thats what they will get !!!!

The reason why we think its that bcz the IO didnt look at our house or car insurance or any pictures of vacation or anything else other than saw that each year we owe alittle in taxes and asked for the receipts to which he said he didnt know to bring any receipts but that he's sure I could get them if needed. Im wishing for the best and ready to be done with all this !!!

Don't panic, it may only be a glitch in the system or something. But to be safe, maybe you could also order account transcripts from the IRS? They basically show if you actually owe anything or not. If your balance is 0, that should also be a good proof that you paid your taxes and are good to go with the IRS. I got them for myself because we have always used money orders to pay.

I do hope its just a glitch, but we already do have our tax transcripts which he brought, plus now we have all copies of checks cashed by the IRS.

  7. On July 19th hubby was approved during his interview and was told his oath ceremony would be in Beaumont TX. Now today he gets this case status:

On July 30, 2012, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Im curious to know whats up with this, and the only thing I can think of is that every year we owe like $300 in taxes which gets paid by a check and we pay our taxes each year thats due. The IO asked Adam for the reciepts of that which of course we didnt bring bcz we didnt know to bring anything other than our tax transcripts of what we did. Maybe they want copies of the checks??? Anyone have thoughts ??? The IO stamped in red APPROVED on his paperwork and now this message appears!

  8. Hey everyone, hubby was approved on the 19th but now his case status says this:

  9. Heres what the one in Beaumont Tx says,

Naturalization ceremonies in the Eastern District of Texas are usually held in the courthouses of either Beaumont or Tyler, or in the U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services facility in Irving, Texas. Ceremonies are set when USCIS has enough applicants to hold a ceremony.

On the day of the ceremony, applicants are processed by USCIS Officers. Each petitioner should bring the U. S. Issued "green card," U. S. Issued visas and all other travel documents. A petitioner who is not fluent in English, but who is age 55 or older and has a U. S. permanent residency of more than 20 years, may be accompanied by someone who can interpret in the petitioner’s native language.

Everyone is expected to comply with federal court rules and any other rules of the Court. Please remain quiet during the proceedings and stand when the judge enters or leaves the courtroom. If you must leave while court is in session, please exit quietly. Children are welcome, but if they become unruly or loud, they must be taken out of the ceremony. This is an important day for all the applicants.

  10. where do you go about finding out oath ceremony schedules? And ive been looking here on visajourney for those that gone through Houston for the interview but none of them so far had there oath ceremony done in beaumont. I know of a co worker who did hers many years ago and had her oath ceremony in beaumont. Adams interviewer told him his oath would be at the Beaumont Courthouse and he'd get a letter in the mail of the time/date... but so far no updates on uscis for his case number... it still says hes scheduled for his interview...

  11. Yep! Happily married now for 6yrs this past Sunday :D Hubby has been here for 4 1/2 yrs and is waiting on his oath ceremony letter.

We drive into Houston occasionally to buy the mid eastern groceries like fresh pita bread, fuul, a certain cheese he likes, basterma, lamb or beef sausage, egyptian rice, and other little things they have. He does like refried beans but not the same way as his fuul. He actually made homemade bread last night & we ate boiled eggs, beets and the bread he made. Adam & I do work alot but whenever we are together we spend it going places together- restaurants, mall, movies, or whatever. We always have a great time in whatever we do. If we are home just relaxing, he has his arabic tv through https://www.elafnettv.com// I told him yesterday that one day Im just going to learn awhole bunch of arabic so I can understand what the movies are always laughing or singing about in arabic. It seems like every show he watches they laugh like crazy or they break out in singing mode. I love it!

Since we moved to Texas 3yrs ago we live very close to alot of my family. Most all of my family works alot but when we come together we all have a great time whether we go out shooting pool, playing card & board games at our moms house or going fishing down in galveston. Hubby loves fishing and so does my mom & grandfather. I just like to get a tan :D

I really enjoy my life with my husband and he definitely is a blessing in my life!
