  1. Male. No name change, but I remember the same name change motion during the May ceremony.

    There's two kinds of ceremonies--

Administrative where USCIS conducts the ceremony. The same day ceremonies are administrative.

Judicial where a judge presides. All name changes need a judicial ceremony, which Houston does.

I still don't get the Beaumont thing. It's in another federal Judicial district and the court webpage says they hold ceremonies in Beaumont, Tyler, and Dallas(??forgot) whenever they have enough to warrant a ceremony. But maybe your address falls into the Easter district for federal court. What ASC did your biometrics?

Why don't you write a letter to that Houston address and request to be scheduled for the Southern District judicial ceremony in Houston?

Its because we live in Liberty County -so Beaumont is in charge of our County. We went to do his biometrics in Houston & then of course the same office near beltway 8 for his interview but the IO told him bcz of our address he would have to have his oath ceremony in Beaumont. Then I checked the website for Beaumont as well & bcz we live in Liberty County & not Harris County thats why his will be there. Well his status at the bottom of the USCIS case status says he should get scheduled within 45 days of his approval and his approval was on Aug 22nd, so we expect to get scheduled by Oct 7th or we will call USCIS again.

  2. Dont give up hope!!! I know we keep hoping for the oath update every day!!! We check the USCIS website and our mailbox... our interview was July 19th and the RFE approval was Aug 22nd so we are now in the oath line waiting to be scheduled. Its frustrating for sure but its going to happen !!! Every day and is another day closer to the date!

  3. Don't know what people think about me when i speak openly about everything.. Am i evil? am i disrespectful when everyone is adult here??

    I'm freeeeeeeeeeee

    talk freely

don't give a damn what people will think about me

    I'm not angry, see??

I'm just avoiding to get bored with serious people here..

Ok and when you openly disrespect Arabs then cry over no one liking your opinions... certainly glad you can care less... as some of us can care less what your opinions are of Arabs. How many arab friends do you have?

  4. All citizen us women here in this forum love their Arabic men and they know they're not double faced and they respect others opinions but you.. my question is why you felt like i was talking about you???

Stand in front of a mirror and tell yourself how awesome you are... Or reach your hand behind your back & pat yourself on the shoulder and tell yourself how awesome you are. :star:

Seriously, just go back and reread your comment here: "I don't know what to say but i know an unfortunate thing about Arabic people, they are double faced, living hypocritical life.."

  5. Congrats and similar situation to us. We had 2009 & 2010 tax transcript but bz we recently filed for 2011 we couldnt get a copy of the transcript in time so we brought the paperwork from Jackson Hewitt. Adam too passed but they wanted the transcript for 2011 and gave us a months time to get it. We went to the IRS office in Houston & waited an hour and got it and mailed it asap. His RFE was approved on Aug 22nd and now waiting to be scheduled for his oath in a city closer to us than Houston.

  6. You have to tell that operator you want to speak to a Tier 2 officer. Thats exactly what we had to do. The first time the operator would not transfer us so when we called the next time we told that operator that the date we called and asked for a Tier 2 the previous operator would not transfer us and we want to speak to a Tier 2. That operator then transferred us to a TIer 2. Had to hold about 20 minutes though.

  7. So, also curious to know.... I know you told us you are buddhist and I see you've been wearing hijab & scarves a bit lately with pictures posted. Is this something you're trying or just like the style and look? I know of a lady who's an atheist, married to an Egyptian and she did a blog about being muslim for a month where she fasted this ramadan & participated in the whole outwardly things of being muslim. Just curious whats up for you.

Naturalization Applicants: you will receive your certificate at your oath ceremony. You can expect to be scheduled for an oath ceremony within 45 days of receiving your recommended approval. Many offices schedule approved applicants for the oath ceremony on the same day as the day of the interview. Please check the local office profile page on our website to determine if the office where you will be interviewed schedules same day oath ceremonies.
