    Interview scheduled for June 20th!

I had my interview and the oath ceremony was on the same day so I am officially American now and the journey is finally over!

Civics questions that I was asked:

    - Who makes federal laws?

    - Name one war during the 1900's

    - If the president can no longer serve, who becomes president?

    - What did Martin Luther King do?

    - What happened on 9/11

    - Why some states have more representative?

I had to read ''Who was Abraham Lincoln'' and to write ''Abraham Lincoln was president during the civil war" and then just some basics questions on what my husband was doing for work, what I was doing, if we had kids, if I filed taxes, if I was ever arrested etc.

Overall it was pretty easy - Good luck to all of those still waiting!

Welcome on board. I didn’t have to do no biometric for the 10yrs green card and this one as well. Did you ever get your 10yrs green card approved? Did you file base on the 3yrs ? And

    Thank you!

Yes I got my 10 years green card approved back in May and yes, I have been living here for 3 years so I could file for this reason.

This is so exciting - finally no need to worry about the 751 status, just one focus on n400 for you now and its pretty much the finish line!!!! Good to know they were all reasonable documents to present for a case.  You're the first person I know here had status moved without interview since they have the new policy. Another person has their case approved under a year but still went through an interview for 751.  But honestly nice to see more positive outcomes with the process. Let us know how it goes for your n400!  Thanks for sharing, it helped me feel mentally less stressed :)

Of course!! Happy to help, I know the process can be long and stressful! And I am sure that 90% of the people are just not part of the forum, otherwise we would have a lot more positive feedback! Hope the wait won't be too long and I am happy to answer any other question if you have anymore! Good luck!

thats awesome - congts!! looks like they really implemented the risk based approach on approving cases. May I know if you have submitted sufficient supporting documents in a way they rely on them to approve your case?   I'm fingers crossed for mine

Thank you!! Yes, I think that decision they made a few months ago is really making the cases moving forward a lot faster. I think this time if I remember correctly I submitted copy or our lease, savings account, tax returns, life insurance, affidavit from my husband's parents, and a pdf document with some pictures.

just one bit I want to learn about your case - you haven't submitted n400 either right?  bc a lot of cases get moved when they filed n400

Not yet no! I will be able to submit this one in July :)

about 10 months - sweet! They waived your interview?

Yes, they waived it! I did not have any interview - The status online was still ''case was received'' since they got the application in July, status never changed to waiting for an interview and I just got this notification email telling me to log into my account to see an update!

I am very surprised as I was preparing for a very long wait after reading everything about this center.

I hope this brings hope that process is going to speed up for everyone currently waiting at the MSC center!

  6. My case was never updated to fingerprints taken, even though I went to the appointment in August.

My center is Missouri (MSC) but I am unable to find estimated processing times on the USCIS website, it does not show any estimation for I-751 at this specific center. And if I look at I-751 processing times, it does not give any information for this center either.

  7. Hi there!

My 2 years green card expire in October and I filed I751 at the beginning of July.

I had to go to renew my temporary driving licence to a permanent one at the beginning of July, in NJ and they didn’t ask anything since the green card is still valid for a few months. So they renewed it for 4 years without issue

I didn’t do the real ID because the officer told me that the real ID would be valid only until the current visa expires (so it would have been until October). No worries for the normal one though.

Ugh 😣 that sucks but at least you have a good plan 🙏🏽

Especially since it was only a day 😅 appointment on the 23rd, and my original flight back was on the 24th!
I heard two people telling me that they rescheduled, and that the next appointment was 6 months later so I didn’t want to risk delaying.
Especially since my case is with MSC and it’s apparently a long wait there 😅
